White J C Plumbing Company

Norm at J C White plumbing has been our go to plumber for several years. I am sorry we did not write a review sooner. This past year came to our rescue twice when the driver of our water delivery company failed to turn the correct water valves back on before he left our home. Our water was shut off for several hours because Norm was not aware we used this particular company. The second time Norm came to our rescue a toilet overflowed, which we noticed at 6:30am when we were heading out the door to go to Oceanside for a surgery on my eye. We called and left a message on Norm’s answering machine and warned him of the terrible mess. When we came home much later the toilet was cleared and the terrible mess was cleaned up; above and beyond the call of duty in our opinion. Besides excellent work his prices are very low. Too low in my opinion.

I live just down the street from Norm’s office. I don’t know what I’d do if he wasn’t around. Our place is old and the plumbing has had a multitude of problems and he always knows what needs to be done. He’ s reliable, honest and fast. I will only go with Norm, when I need a plumber!

I ran into Norm’s office on the way to Java Beach after having some troubles with my bathtub draining. Norm is your standard plumber in appearance, but is certainly friendly and professional enough. He asked me a few questions to try to narrow down the problem and told me the base price. I took his business card before leaving.
I hesitated calling a franchise plumbing company, because I figured their rates would be higher. I decided to give Norm a go, since he is a locally based plumber, and his office appeared quite established, complete with an old computer, plumbing related paraphernalia, and billing paperwork.
Norm called me back and showed up that afternoon. He was able to clear the drain quite quickly and relatively easily, but then he encountered a problem with one of the bolts holding the drain plug to the tub. The one that broke was old and rusty and the other one was, well, it was just not there. He ran back to his office to get some other equipment to remove the broken bolt, and replaced both bolts. He spent well over an hour working, but did not charge me for repairing the broken bolt.
All in all, he worked hard and honestly, charged fairly, and essentially went above and beyond to complete the job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for basic plumbing services.
