This is the best place around to buy no mess bird seed. Before I discovered this place, I would go to local pet stores that sold a «waste free» blend that’s filled with corn. Unfortunately, the birds around us (RB) don’t care for the corn, so it was left in giant piles under the feeder. The price of the seed might initially seem high, but it’s really not when you consider all the factors. We have zero waste when we use it, which is important since I have the feeder set up near our front porch. The 20 lb bag is actually more economical than if you buy two 10 lb bags of named brand seed at pet stores (I don’t know what they charge for a 20 lb bag, if they even carry one). And the daily savings club discounts the food even further.
Customer service is also excellent. Jerry can answer just about any bird question you have and can help you pick out the perfect setup for your avian visitors. It’s really nice to have a place like this close by.

I love having a Wild Birds Unlimited so close to home. I live in Rancho Bernardo and have been feeding and enjoying birds for over ten years. Jerry and his staff are awesome! They are friendly and knowledgeable about the birds in our area. Thanks to Jerry ordering me a special cage for my suet feeder, the crows have left. Now the finches and wrens can feed to their hearts content.
I highly recommend this store, they sell the best assortment and quality of bird foods and feeders. My humming bird and oriole feeders are still in great condition after 7 years and a added plus, they are all very easy to clean.

Between 15 – 20 years ago I worked at Wild Birds Unlimited in Santee (closed a long time ago), and while I worked there I purchased some feeders. One in particular had a lifetime warranty. Well I have used it a lot over the years, but the plastic tube discolored and cracked. So I decided to take it into the Wild Birds in Poway. I spoke with Jerry the owner, he ordered the parts for me, and tried to order the new plastic tube. He called me on Monday to tell me that the tube was not available any longer, but that he was authorized to give me a free replacement! WOW! This speaks volumes about Jerry and Wild Birds Unlimited as a company. Please feel confident buying from Wild Birds Unlimited! Sure you pay a little more for your feeders, etc but the quality is fantastic, and their integrity is just as good! I own a few Wild Birds feeders and love them all. If your not into birding, but know someone who is, they have tons of gift ideas too, from bird baths, to feeders, to bird houses, and many many more items! You gotta check this place out. Happened upon this place during their opening week end, a little over a year ago. Cute place and they have beautiful glass bird baths. Just could not resist buying one. I’ve usually cleaned it in the early evening, this past week end I was cleaning the birdbath during light hours. THE BIRDBATH HAS FADED SO
no longer has the beautiful blues, greens, the whole colors are light yellows. I’m so disappointed. as this was so pretty a year ago and it is a bird bath, not something you’d put inside or under a patio. Also with the glass birdbath and the metal stand, it was around $ 85.00! I’ve never paid so much for something non-​useful but thought what the heck! NOW NOT SURE I’LL GO BACK… Jerry is just the owner, he doesn’t make them. I“m going to call him tomorrow and see what he can advise. So sad it’s dull now. So sad I didn’t notice sooner! It’s been a year but!!! update Called and left message for Jerry a week ago, asking if he could get something from the business that he purchased from? NO RESPONSE. ok no more shopping here. sorry 2 say. a business needs to respond to their customers. one way or another.

My wife and I recently stopped in at this wonderful store in Scripps Ranch and Jerry the owner spent a lot of time explaining to us about hummingbirds and how to best attract and feed them. He showed us a number of different feeders and we purchased one and are enjoying a spectacular show every day in our backyard. Jerry even shared a homemade hummingbird nectar recipe with us that we use. If you’re interested in more entertainment in your backyard you’ve got to check out this store!

Great place if you love to feed and enjoy wild birds. Jerry the owner is knowledgable and helpful with what the birds like to eat. Join the club the bird bucks keep the cost to a minimum. There is nothing better sitting on the porch having a cup of coffee and having the wild birds just feet away.
