BBB needs to check this place out! This place doesn’t seem to care very much about homeless or battered women. I had to go into the office downtown to fill out an application which supposedly started the process once I did so I had to await a response once I got a response my phone was off so I return the phone call of the lady that called me and she never returned my call so I called a second time and she never returned my call so today I finally called a third time hoping for a call back but I doubt it. They really need to be reviewed or audited or SOMETHING because from what I can tell they’re not doing much to help anyone.

I think that the management team needs to be evaluated by the Board of Directors of this organization. I believe they aren’t holding to their mission. There is a culture of disdain for both the clients and the volunteers who give their time to improve the lives of domestic violence victims. For example, there have been large monetary donations that are not being used to improve the immediate physical environment that the women and children are being subjected to. A donation of valuable new clothing was withheld because giving them to these people«would be a waste». The«Becky’s Boutique» that had provided clothing and household items to clients who were getting back on their feet has been destroyed because of the callousness and vanity of a marketing and development director. There are a lot of donors to this organization that should take a close look at who is actually being served because they will find that it isn’t the homeless women and children.
