Hubbs and I strolled down Adams Ave. «Antique Row». I decided to stop in. The most interesting things hung quietly on the walls. In the very back of the store hung this beautiful painting of a spanish or mexican lady. She was painted on what seemed to be canvas bearing one bust.
The owner– Dave was very knowledgeable, charismatic, talkative, and fun to chat with.
The also had a really nice light wooden table with upholstered chairs. Also another thing that stood out was a Shirley Temple Doll and a really pretty white vintage dress.
If you need anything antique in San Deigo go to one of the last standing antique shops on Adams.

I recently attended an estate sale run by Zac’s Attic owner, Dave. It could have been a really pleasant experience because there were a lot of cool items, but Dave was rude and dismissive. I go to estate sales because I LOVE them… and because the people running them are usually professional and friendly. Not Dave. He could have sold many more items by just behaving himself. I’ll pass by his shop on Antique Row from now on.

Zac’s Attic has a great variety of vintage and antiques. It’s like stumbling into a really good estate sale, which makes sense because I’m pretty sure that is where many of the items for sale come from. Dave is a gracious and helpful guy and a San Diego native. My boyfriend and I just moved here and he was kind enough to tell us a great deal about the area. Overall it’s a great place for antiques!

Wandered in here the other day and found a cool vintage frame. Lots of nifty little trinkets and owner is super nice.

You might also like to know that Dave does Estate Sales. Close friend of our family recently passed away. My wife is the Trustee/​Executrix and needed someone trustworthy and competent to help clear the house contents. Dave came highly recommended to us by word-​of-​mouth. Business presentation and contract were straight-​forward, no nonsense. He delivered exactly what he promised, and exceeded our expectations. We’re thrilled with the results — awesome job!

What an awesome antique shop! My friend Anthony lives in the area, so we were having coffee at a coffeshop nearby and went for a walk when I look at the cute house called Zac’s Attic. Did not realize that probably this is part of the famous Antique’s row area. We are totally kids by heart and went inside in the search of ugly-​scary looking porcelain dolls, to take some pictures for our collection:) (yes, some of my friends have the same weird hobbies as me, so I am not the only one).
I could actually see a very cute doll, and the owner was very friendly and illustrative, opening a dusty catalog and explaining how to distinguish a doll from the beginning for the XX century to one imitation made last year in China, for example. Tons of other items, kind of disorganized, but that is the key, to find hidden treasures.
I was very scared, though, of breaking one of those cute blue glasses or bottles, as there is a lot of content in this shop. I am not a collector, no space, no wish either, but definitively is a place I would consider to buy something small and not to expensive for a friend who collects something is particular if I happen to stop buy and think about what would be cool for that person. ~ I walked in one day browsing Antique Row in search of finishing a license plate project of mine. I walked into a few nice places before I found my favorite small business that doesn’t serve food in San Diego.

~ He made a special call for me to a buddy to find specific things I was looking for, called me when he got them in and we had a nice chat when I came back to pick them up.
~ He even showed me some Pepsi antiques which was great because I do not like Coca-​Cola!

I will be a lifelong customer of Dave’s until he is no longer in business or I am no longer in San Diego. Please go give his Flintstones –looking shop a visit!

I recently hired Dave of Zac’s Attic to conduct an estate sale at my mother’s house. Dave came highly recommended by an attorney contact and lived up to the billing. From our first meeting through the end of the sale he was forthright, very knowledgeable and professional. Dave clearly set forth a strategy for the sale then executed that plan to the letter. He maintained constant communication throughout the process, coached me on what to expect and then delivered results that were very much consistent with my expectations. I went into our arrangement without prior experience in such transactions, but considering what I’d heard described as a «typical price range» together with the size of my mom’s estate, Dave’s fee was quite reasonable, particularly in light of the value and peace of mind he provided. I absolutely recommend Dave and Zac’s Attic to anyone with the need to conduct an estate sale.

An antique shop with antique prices. I saw one or two nice pieces I liked but this shop did not really reflect my style or price range.

Have to minus one star for the steeper than average prices. This is a great shop, though. Housed in an old Craftsman just down the street from Antique Row, Zac’s is stuffed to the gills with all kinds of antiques and vintage items. There is a particularly nice selection of vintage housewares (Fiesta dishes and the like). Every flat surface is pretty much covered with interesting finds. This is definitely not a shop to rush through. Zac’s also sometimes conducts estate sales, and they do a thorough, professional job.
