The pupusas were good, but order ahead of time. I always call ahead and place my order for pickup & sometimes they still don’t have my order ready when I get there to pick it up.

Possibly the best pupusas I’ve ever had in my life, and they were only a dollar a piece! They have some kind of special Mon-Thursday I think. I loved the slaw they serve with the pupusas — everything was perfect!

Pupusas were Good. Had a Large Order(40 Pupusas) and Placed My Order Over 2 Hours Prior and STILL had to Wait Over 30 Minutes for My Order to be Complete. The Service was Horrible and the Lady was Rude.(I think she said she was the Owner too). I asked for Extra Curtido since I Ordered 40 Pupusas and She said they didn’t have anymore cause they have other orders and it’s Friday and they get Busy. How was like 2 Cups of Curtido gonna be Enough for 40 Pupusas… Definitely Thee Last Time we or You should go there! Unless you don’t like Curtido on your Pupusas…

Found this little hole in the wall pupuseria yesterday to my surprise in the San Fernando Mall. The service was great and the pupusas were surprisingly good. The curtido was average but the salsa was deliciously great and had a spicy kick. I live rather close, so the convenience of ordering and picking up to enjoy at home is priceless.

Friendly service, but somehow thats not enough to make me recommend this place to anyone. Maybe I’m a cheapskate, or something. Far be it for me to deny anyone a profit, but In the menu picture they show two Pupusas on a plate, however next to the image it says each one is 2 dollars each.(For 2 dollars they better be incredibly good). The food is decent but not the best you’ve ever had. Not even close, you can get the same quality and size for a buck around town. Note!!! mon-fri 1 dollar pupusas but no cheese, loroco or ayote… So your pupusa is basically a tortilla. Again buisnesses do what they need to survive. I wouldn’t come back but I am a cheapskate.

This is a good place to eat guilt-free pupusas! Lol… Like the types that if you eat 7 pupusas, you fall into a 3 week food coma… The service is prompt and very friendly… The girls arent’t catty. Oh!!! And on top! They have an ice-cream stop on the side… That sells soft-serve and nachos… The ice cream truck type… Not too shabby for Pac-town! Hahahah! –JB

Had a huge craving for pupusas and I wanted to try a new location. Came about this place and walked in. The place was kind of empty, 3 other tables occupied. I was only going to place the order to go but as soon as I sat down the waiter came over and gave me the menus and chips and salsa. I ordered 2 pupusas, one cheese and one revuelta. My daughter had 2 revuelta. We sat there and within 10 min we had out freshly made pupusas. Sorry I didn’t take a picture because they looked freaking fabulous. The cheese was oozing out of one and the griddle had created that amazing crust cheese forms on a hot pan. Mmmm they were both good. I wasn’t too fond of the curtido, it was kind of too sweet for me and I couldn’t taste the vinegar(which I love) but I managed. They were also a good size. While eating we were asked if everything was OK twice, so they are very attentive to their customers. The reason for my 3 stars… I get my bill and its $ 24! Not exactly what pupusas cost. 4 pupusas @ $ 2 each and 2, $ 2 dollar drinks is $ 12. I don’t know how in the world it became $ 24. I went up and asked if I had received the correct bill and apparently it was. But they recalculated the total and i was right. My total was $ 14.50. I wonder if this happens often. On a better note: I did notice a sign that said Monday and Tuesday $.99 pupusas. Will definitely order to go and double ck my total. Other than that the place was pleasant.

Great popusas had reservations about trying this place since I hadn’t heard of before. I tried their bean and cheese popusas on their dollar Thursday’s and my partner that is usually super picky liked them as much as I did. Looking forward to trying some of their other popusas and food. Great to see a good place in the neighborhood

One of my daughters was craving pupusas, and I’m glad we found this place so close to home. We ordered take-out, but the girl who took our order was very nice & friendly. The pupusas were delicious. I think we’ve found our new favorite pupusa place.

The service is quick and friendly, the ladies who work here are all sauvi’s, so they know what they’re talking about and making. The pupusas are salty, but if you’re here for health food, they have lots of juices and different soups. The décor is retro, not bad at all. They have different sodas available and they’re not at all bad. The jarritos are wonderful. The food they make is scrumptious. Every bit of it. I love coming for the pupusas and the soda on Thursdays, even if it’s just to get takeout. This place has been here since the 90’s so it’s awesome and it hasn’t changed. It’s usually lonely though, so they could really use everyone’s business :3 I look forward to coming here again. You can also call ahead and ask them to have your pupusas ready for you for pickup. It’s all awesome.

Great service! Great food! Great prices! I had the pupusas(which are $ 1 each on Wednesday and Thursday) and they were perfect. The least greasy pupusas I have ever had and they tasted amazing as well! We also had the platanos fritos which comes with crema and frijoles and this was a great taste of my childhood. The ensalada drink was also solid! Highly recommended! Service was also very nice.

We waited for service for 10 min when there was only 1 other family there. I git tired if waiting and asked for the menu. I ordered pupusas, and they were salty. Their said it wasn’t their fault and still charged us for them. Not only that, the beans were canned. Ewww! All around bad :(

I like this place because it has never really changed through out the years. It has been relatively the same, with the same employees? Kinda crazy. I have been here before years past, but decided to come back because I had forgotten the experience. I ordered a burrito, it was around 9 bucks, or 5 bucks I forget. It was good, but I only give it 3 stars because I haven’t tasted anything else, I may revise it if I decide to return. Burrito was good. Go and check them out because it looks like they cook hella good Salvadorian food judging by everyone else reviews, I don’t know about that food I am no expert so go and check it out for me and let me know what you guys think.

This joint is the real deal. For whatever reason, I found myself in this corner of the SFV a couple of months ago, and asked the computer-repair dude I’d found for a really, really good Salvadoran place.(He was Salvadoran, he would know). Eddie sent us to Dona Mercedes. It was a good steer. And the walk past the stores selling the garish, over-the-top, quinceaneras dresses was worth it in and of itself. Menu of Salvadoran specialities. I remember that we had pupusas, and I had some sort of smothered chicken that was brilliant. The beer was cold, there was Mexican football(soccer) playing on the monitor, and my medium Spanish was good enough to handle just about everything, though obviously English was spoken. Menu in both Spanish and Ingles. I’m not sure I’d make a special buzz up here to eat at Dona Mercedes, but for that day, it was perfect. And I’ll write about Eddie another time. I sort of hate to steer biz his way because he sells stuff so cheap as to be heaven sent, but what the heck. He deserves it.
