Have you seen this guy? With the giant blue van? Ace Boot Camp on the side? This guy is a classic. I’ve been in his«Outdoor Fitness» class for almost 10 years. It’s like an addiction. He brings these old timey Army Rucksacks filled with sand and makes his clients run up and down Hills in the Presidio until they are about to puke. Puking is funny. He’s a friend of mine now so I’m a little biased. He tricked me and some friends into doing a 16 hour race with him last year and now I’m addicted to adventure racing too. These classes are about 1 to 1 males to females. He’s got a weird scratchy voice like he’s been yelling but he never yells. He has beau coup painful workouts with medicine balls, bands, pull up bars, dumbbells, and other pain inducing equipment : Downhill run from the Marin headlands to the southside of the GGB Court Drills with Dodgeball or Kickball at the end Killer track workout at Fort Mason Aforementioned Rucksack workout. Lyon Street stairs but all the way to California St. Fingers of Doom(don’t ask) Baker Beach sand Ladder but all the way up to the overlook at like 300 ft. Land’s End run all the way to the GGB Gnarly hills Aquatic Park to Lombard Curves to Coit Tower and down the back side. then along the florking embarfadero passed the seals and an asslode more workouts that leave me sore. If you want to get in good enough shape to do some all night adventure racing or push your fitness or just eat and drink more this is the place to start. Don’t come here if you can’t already run a mile or you’ll get left behind. It’s this guy’s hobby so if you don’t like the workout it’d better be because it wasn’t hard enough. He’s just in it for fun, friends and spending money. If there were a way to give 4.5 stars I’d do it as he goes out of town every now and then for a month and leaves us stranded ’til he gets back. What a Dick!
