This is really a hostel. It was my first time staying in 1. Ended up here unexpectedly after other arrangements didn’t work out. The room was clean but it’s in a sketchy part of town. It looks like the wire. Not sure I’d stay here again alone but it served its purpose for the time being.

I find the reviews for this place slightly hilarious and quite dramatic. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great experience staying here last October. We, being able to read, found out that out of the rooms came with shared bathroom facilities, which I find to be the root of many people’s complaints. Because we didn’t want a shared bathroom, we selected a room with a private bathroom. The room was clean and actually charming, and the shower was clean as well. We were never harassed by homeless people and I saw none of them hanging out in the hotel. Yes, it’s noisy outside the hotel at night, but what can you do? Is this the hotel’s fault? No. Bring ear plugs if it really bothers you, and keep your window shut. Also, I was here to see the city sights, not lounge in the room, so I have no idea if the TV worked or not. Didn’t even try it. Overall it was a good price for the location.

Do not stay here if you value your life. I was recommended this place from Travelosity. I paid 500.00 for 3 nights. I was there a total of 10 minutes. Drug addicts shooting up on the side walk in day light. Prostitutes everywhere. Drunks drinking 40’s. Smells like piss everywhere. Travelosity doesn’t tell you that you share a toilet and shower in the hall. There’s people screaming and talking to themselves. No light. Thank gawd I had my cell phone so once I found a better hotel a half mile away I went back for my suitcase. This is WORSE than Skid Row. I’d rather sleep on skid row with the homeless than stay here. Horrible experience. San Francisco is going Down the tubes. Pray for the cops. They need ALOT of help. It doesn’t even get a star. Nothing scary place. Well I guess I have to Put a star to Post.

If you like hearing mentally ill people talking to them self, people screaming slurs about homosexuals, while slamming doors and yelling in the dead of night. Well this is the place for you. Full TV accses? Forget about it! We’ll just give you the TV. And nothing else. And if that didn’t sell you how about the fee, 170 a night! For all that?! Golly gee, come check on in. You’ll have fond memories of homeless people and drug addicts in the streets. Ah, yes only one night here will make you rethink most your life decisions. P. s. I gave it a star because, they atleast had a bed in the room

My friend and I(two young females) booked the place based on just few positive reviews. We are not local to SF so we had no idea what we were getting into. 1. We took BART to the place. We got off the train at Civic station and walked. It was already clear that the place we had chosen to stay is in the rough area. It’s filthy, filed with drunks and drug addicts. It all was like a scene from a scary movie. 2. After ten minutes of the walk of fear we ended up in the hotel. We had to walk up to the second floor to check in. It was dark and gloomy inside. 3. Ok we got our room with shared bathroom and toilet which I didn’t quite get from the description while booking. The hotel manager took us to show the amenities which were cheap hostel like. 3. The shared toilet was filthy, the bathroom was on the forth floor(we got our room on the third floor) which I didn’t even bother to check as at the moment I was sure I was not going to stay even for one night. 4. I went to the manager of the place to ask for my money back. He tried to refuse saying that the cancellation is 24 hours in advance. I was desperate when drunk two-teeth woman walked in and started talking to the manager. I felt cold water pouring all over my body at a mere thought that I had to share toilet and bathroom with that lady. While I was talking to the manager my friend met a man who could barely walk as he was too high. 5. I got my money back after that lady walked in who the manager tried to persuade to stay inside her room to be invisible for the guests. 6. We left because we did not feel safe staying in that hotel. 6. Having spent extra three hours desperately trying to find a new location to stay we ended up booking Union Square hotel which became like a sip of fresh water in the desert.
