I took my mom for her first visit with Dr. Watanabe. We were referred to her after a frustrating experiences with doctors who were hard to get in touch with and did not spend the time due to overload of patients. On arrival to Dr. Watanabe’s office, we were the only ones in the waiting room and we didn’t have to wait. Dr. Watanabe she spent quite a long time getting to know my mom and hearing our concerns. She was professional and very thorough in examining my mom. She carefully explained what she was doing and her recommendations. In addition, she was very kind and caring. I have never met such a wonderful physician. My mom and I were both very happy and relieved to find such a great doctor! We highly recommend Dr. Watanabe and her efficient and friendly office receptionist, Hiroko.

Dr Watanabe is taking care of my wife and son. We can get practically same day appointments. And she is tenacious when it comes to getting lab results from slow moving facilities. How someone wants to be compensated for their years of schooling, training and special talents is up to that person. This is not a socialist republic. If you can get this level of caring and personal attention from an HMO or a wonderful Obama-care program, I’d like to hear about it.

Dr. Watanabe is the best doctor! She has been my physician for a number of years. Additionally, she saved my life when I somehow contracted bacterial meningitis! She is personable and displays genuine and loving concern for her patients. I gladly pay the $ 250 per month and am honored to be her patient!

So, when I moved to SF many moons ago, I was really happy to have found a doctor who was nearby, part of my healthcare plan, and who, coincidentally, spoke Japanese. She seemed to be a popular doctor among the local folks I worked with in Japantown, and I felt quite lucky. I was fired from her, however. Dumped!(See Marian G’s explanation, below.) I explained this situation to my other MD, who expressed her dismay. She really seemed disappointed that Dr. AW went«concierge». She said, «If those SAME people put their efforts towards helping us move towards Universal Healthcare coverage for the entire population… Doing what she did, that’s no solution.» I posted a symbolic number of stars here, but I’m sure you can figure out how many stars I really want to award here. From Marian’ G. s Review: UPDATE: Dr. Aileen Watanabe will be moving to a new office(September 2007) and changing her medical practice to «concierge medicine»(which means she is limiting the number of patients) In addition to eliminating Medicare, HMO and Brown & Toland Medical Group and accepting PPO patients for a monthly fee of $ 250/a month. Dr. Watanabe’s address: 2186 Geary Boulevard, Suite No. 213, San Francisco, CA
