The new ArtNowSF frame shop is really great. They have a lot of different styles of work already framed for all sorts of price ranges. I got my prize possession framed to preserve it and it looks stellar.

I’m writing this review as an artist who has participated in one of ArtNowSF’s events. I was in the Veni Vedi Vici show at Club 6 on May 9th. As an emerging artist, it was a good experience to receive greater exposure, and ArtNow is good at pushing their events. However, when the allotted 60 days hold they had on my paintings was over I tried to get in contact with Joseph Gross in order to retrieve them. 2 emails, 2 voice messages, both ignored and unanswered. After the show was over, there was no communication whatsoever about where the art was going and there were no contracts signed. I had to find out from other participating artists of the location of the the paintings. When I went to go pick up my art, I found out that several of the pieces were mishandled and 3 of my frames had been broken. I suppose if you like a night out enjoying art and music, artnow has some pretty cool events. What I don’t recommend is participating as an artist because they treat you and your product like crap unless you are a personal friend or are more famous in the art world.

I first heard about ArtNowSF a year or two ago, when I bought one of my favorite art pieces by Devin Harris, from an ArtNowSF art collection at Thread Show. Lately, I’ve been particularly excited about ArtNowSF’s monthly party, which they throw at Club 6 –with Juztapoz magazine( ) — called Veni, Vidi, Vici. Each month ArtNowSF manages to gather some of the most talented artists and pack out Club 6(it really is one of my favorite clubs) to it’s full potential. All three of Club 6’s diverse large rooms play host to riveting bootyastic music, stirring art, and bumpin’ sexy trend-setters.Two months ago I saw STS9( ) in Club 6’s basement, as well as a slew of other choice Djs who rocked the place, creating the perfect soundtrack for phenomenal live artists, painting poppin’colors to explosive bass. If you’re looking for an exciting scene in SF — stay on top of the Veni Vidi Vici parties. They’re beyond affordable — when it comes down to all of the talent you see will inside. If you get your ticket early online — it’s only 10 dollars — and the parties will often end at around 3:00am or 4:00 am.
