Bayshore Market is pretty bare of convenience items, just the basics they have beer and sodas too. sammies and mexican eats on the menu. eats: asada burrito(6.25) –didn’t upsize to super when asked cuz didn’t see pricing listed. –asada mostly chewy, some gristle, not flavorful –beans and rice mushy –tortillas chips fresh –good sized burrito, just average tasting. takeouts: –friendly service. –burrito made to order, maybe asada was too.

NOTE: They have since removed the«Farmer’s» from their name. It’s just Bayshore Market now. The burritos here(my favorite is the chicken one) are FREAKINGDELICIOUS. I don’t even understand what it is… maybe the full flavored chicken, or perfectly seasoned rice… whatever it is it’s magical. Also the burritos are giant, they usually serve as two solid lunches(although I’m a 125 lb female so that might just be one solid lunch if you can really pack it away). Re-heat pro-tip: wrap it in a towel and microwave for 1 minute. If you’re not feeling a burrito, they have so many other wonderful options, too. It’s very well priced so I’ve eaten there like 10 times in the last month. The quesadillas are delicious, I recommend asking them to put shrimp on it. The tacos are cheap and tasty, they have two different kinds. The have heavenly popusas(but only a limited amount, so if you want them go early! [that’s also why they’re only on the menu under the Salvadorian Plate]). They’re also really laid back about the menu. If you want a certain kind of meat on a certain kind of dish that isn’t on the menu, just ask and they’ll happily oblige. This place is Bayview’s best kept secret and I adore it.

I ordered a vege burrito that tasted very good and fresh. It was a little shy of avocado/guacamole. The place was a little dirty and I couldn’t find salsa or napkins. Nice and friendly staff.

Attention, Bernal Villagers! If you venture down the eastern slope of your majestic peak, you will be rewarded with perhaps the most valuable treasure known to humankind: the perfect sandwich. It’s a Mexican sandwich. No, not a torta. A Mexican DELI sandwich. It’s like a regular deli sandwich except the mayo is spicy, the dutch crunch roll is fresher, the cheese is better, it’s crammed full of delicious avocado, and there’s jalapeños on there. Plus, they add magic. Just trust me: this is the sandwich that all other sandwiches aspire to be. Ironically, a farmer’s market is the one thing Bayshore Farmer’s Market isn’t. What is it? Just your standard bodega — deli — taqueria — check cashing center — café Cubano stand — card room — barbecue pit — tamale parlor — lottery ticket purveyor — juice bar — convenience store — carniceria — social hall. When you walk in, you’ll truly feel like you’ve entered the one store in a one horse town south of the border. Pretty cool — and unlike anything you’ll find on the hilltop. So why not slap on some Coppertone and head downhill to enjoy a mini sandwich vacation? You could also dine on delicious hot food, like enchiladas and ribs and the like. Grab a table if you want to join the gents hanging out, or take your delicious comida up the hill to Holly Park for a nice pickanick. Bernal is getting a lot of press and a lot of play these days. All well deserved! But if you’re in the mood for something a bit different, something slightly less precious and still completely delicious, you have to give Bayshore Farmer’s Market a try. It’s not just a sandwich. It’s a sandventure.

We had two carne asada, two pollo asada, one carnitas and one chorizo taco. These tacos are simple but fabulous! Just some onion and cilantro and a squeeze from the two types of salsas they offer. There’s absolutely nothing better than street style tacos. They also have these grilled veggies for free. I don’t know what type of fat those veggies were cooked in, but they were so flavorful and yummy. Their selection of groceries is pretty small, though. This is definitely more for ready made food than grocery shopping.

Great little Mexican deli away from the mission hipsters and marina morons. I heart this hole in the wall

Damn fine chicharones at a very reasonable price. There I said it, I love chicharones much to the horror of my vegetarian friends.

The bf and I were heading to BK at Bayshore to get a slurpee and we were deciding what to have for dinner on our way there. While he was driving, he told me to check to see if the seafood market was open, but the Bayshore Farmer’s Market«BBQCHICKENANDRIBS» sign caught my eye. So I yelled out.: BBQ Chicken and Ribs~~~~!!! The bf: Whaaaat!!! Where!!! Me, pointing at the market: over there baby! The bf: Looks like a winner! So we picked up the lemonade slurpee from BK and headed to Bayshore Farmer’s Market. The BBQ chickens were hugeeee with pretty nice brown skin, and the grilled ribs looked delicious. We put our noses next to the display glass, mmMmm smelled sooo good. Pricing-wise — for the ribs, it’s $ 6.xx per pound, so 2 ribs were less than $ 10. We also picked up half a BBQ chicken for $ 4.99 or you can get one for $ 8.99. We also picked up some potato salad. We were both drooling our way back home because the car was filled with nice bbq aroma… MmmMm delicious dinner! Huge chicken deliciously glazed. Pretty tasty ribs, just a little rough outside but overall very satisfying. And the hot sauce is HOT! but very very tasty. Yup yup, we’ll definitely be going back to pick up some delicious dinner!

I would call it more of a carniceria than a farmer’s market. Good place if you want to grab a bunch of bulk meats, tortillas, bring them back to your party, and put them together. Very reasonable prices. Small selection of other items, too. Watch out for expiration dates.
