Beckett & Robb

My experience with Beckett & Robb was excellent. In particular Alan, who seems to mostly work Saturdays (?), is a consummate professional. He is extremely knowledgeable about fabrics, cuts, etc, but also skillful in the way he measures and adjusts suits for fitting. My suit fits amazingly well and I am going to enjoy it for a long time. This is in sharp contrast to my experience at indochino (which you can read about in my other review). Everything on the weekend is by appointment so they really provide you their full attention and are quite meticulous. I recommend this place highly!
A few tips for shoppers: I was shopping for a wedding suit. The custom suit does take some time, for me that was about 1.5 months including the Christmas holidays right in the middle of that. My pants had to be slightly adjusted which took 1 extra week (but was not an extra charge). And the price was totally reasonable and within budget. So be sure to leave yourself enough time.

I can’t yet speak to the quality of the finished product. However, my order, consisting of suits, a custom shirt, sweater, and miscellaneous elements is now more than a month overdue beyond the promised date. Communications has been poor, requiring me to call and follow-​up. Even a month beyond the promised date, they aren’t able to estimate a delivery date.

The in-​store experience was fine, but after painstakingly choosing the right shirt details, my order was late, then «sent to the wrong location». I asked the manager to overnight it to me as i was travelling and needed the shirt soon. It didn’t arrive until several days later and had none of the finishes. It was just a white shirt in material that doesn’t feel like it was worth the 200 bucks i paid for it. An absolute waste of money and source of frustration.

Truly an amazing experience. I had purchased a bespoke suit from Nordstrom once before and that experience does not even come close to Beckett & Robb’s experience. Alan was amazing at recommending fabrics, accents materials, pocket squares, ties, etc. It was truly an exceptional experience purchasing my products from Beckett & Robb. I’d buy and buy and buy all their products if I had limitless $$$. Better to have one great suit than a few averages ones, I believe.

Really poor customer service & planning. They had me go all the way for a fitting on a Saturday morning while neglecting to let me know that their factory was closed all month. The sales guy then tried some kind of slime tactic to get me to order the same day because they were willing to make an exception & take my order. Shoulda asked if they also sell used cars!

Alan and Jared are fantastic. Jared was the one who helped with my suit, but Alan was super friendly as well. This was my first time buying a tailored suit, and they gave fantastic advice and suggestions throughout the process. I had a general idea of what I wanted, and they helped with all the details and it turned out amazing. The suit fits better than a glove, and it looks beautiful.
The only issue was the suit took longer than expected (just beyond 8 weeks), but that has more to do with their oversea’s tailor/​shipping than the actual store itself. Make sure you are not tight for time for needing your suit.

First the service is great. Derek helped me out immensely and this was my first time getting bespoke clothing. It can be daunting, it can be expensive and sometimes I did wonder why I didn’t just go to Nordstrom’s. All that disappears the minute your order comes in and that final fitting happens. I don’t think they’ll let you make a mistake but it’s money well spend. Got a pair of suits and shirts and couldn’t be happier. When using Unilocal price and value comes into mind and when you pay a premium, receive a premium service and product with honestly and even accurate timelines, you get 5 stars. Final fitting required no alterations and was as high quality as I could have hoped for.
Great job all around B&R looking forward to visiting again. I’ve recommended and will continue to recommend this place. It’s special and there’s nothing like treating yourself at times. Well worth the cost, wait (although it was accurately indicated and completely on time) and seemingly particular choosing.

I’m writing to share a recent experience I had at Beckett and Robb. I live in San Francisco and I’m getting married this September. I was in the market for a suit that would reflect a 1920’s style. After a great deal of google /​yelp searching and a few visits to local clothiers, I found Beckett and Robb. My fiancé and I met with Alan in the SF store and in less than an hour, my new suit was on order. Three weeks later, my suit arrived and Alan was able to meet with me last Saturday to try it on. The fit and finish was remarkable, requiring no further alterations. I could not have imagined a better experience if I tried. Alan provided fantastic advice and consultation on every aspect of the suit design and also ensured the choices would fit within the narrow window for manufacturing prior to our wedding. In short, Alan’s talent combined with Beckett and Robb’s overall operations not only helped me nail a perfect suit for my wedding, but I will be back to purchase *all* of my future men’s dress clothing from Beckett and Robb.

Good looking place, super clean, AWESOME music. Great vive, great customer service. All they are missing is some scotch on the rocks haha. We came here to get my finances wedding suit, after scouting every department store. Although we probably could have found a cheaper alternative, we are glad we went to Beckett & Robb! I can’t wait I see him styling on our big day. I’m sure he will look and feel like a million bucks. Thank you Alan! You’re awesome.

I just bought my first suit from B&R. I was helped by Alan, who does his best to work with you. Overall I was impressed with the process, but a little disappointed by the amount of time you spend waiting. My suit took almost 8 weeks, which is in their time-​frame, but still a long time to wait. In the end the suit arrived. They had to make some alterations to the jacket since I recently lost about 15 pounds, but after two days it was done and fits perfect!
Would I do it again? Absolutely. I would just make sure not to expect a quick delivery! I look forward to customizing my wardrobe with the various fabrics and styles that are available at B&R.

I’ve now bought two suits and four shirts from Beckett & Robb. I’m very happy with the fabric selections, tailoring and advice. I’ve worked closely with Alan, the store manager, who was extremely helpful in making my choices. They have a wide range of fabric choices, and the prices are only a bit above what you’d pay at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales. And here, you get a suit that fits you perfectly with all of the fun details (canvassing, lining color, button style, stitching, etc.) that make buying a custom suit a much more pleasurable experience than buying an off-​the-​peg suit elsewhere.
As for customer service, there’s really no one better. They listen to any concerns and react promptly to ensure that the customer is fully satisfied. I can’t imagine buying a suit and shirts anywhere else.

My husband wanted a made to measure suit for our daughter’s wedding. After much research, he contacted Derek at B&R and spoke over the phone on style, cut, color, etc. Showed up for appt and was impressed with their knowledge and friendliness. They guided him through the process and style decisions (who knew there were so many options!) and with their knowledge he was able to get exactly what he envisioned at a reasonable price, done on time! He looks amazing in his suit and custom shirt. Would highly recommend B&R for anyone in the market for MTM suits and custom shirts. He can’t wait to add more pieces in the near future!!!

I just purchased a three-​piece suit from Beckett & Robb for my wedding. The service from the moment I walked in all the way through the fitting process was superb. You really get tremendous value for your money here, with fine materials and thoughtful staff. Definitely recommend this place for your next suit or tux.

My fiancé just picked up his custom suit from Beckett & Robb for our wedding. He looks amazing in it. This business has really figured out how to make a top-​quality custom suit that fits perfectly (they take a million measurements, including things like the slope of your chest, whatever that means!) while keeping prices reasonable.
It was a pleasure meeting with them to discuss what we wanted, and the suit came earlier than expected and didn’t need any additional alterations.
