Delicious AND healthy. Pick and choose what you want in the bowl and it is immediately hot and ready! Love the stone bowl option and the spicy sauce.

Chipotle-esque build your own bibimbap(Korean rice bowl) station tucked inside the International Food Cout. Great place to grab a tasty and affordable lunch in FiDi. Don’t let the line scare you– they are fast! +$ 7.50 for standard carb and veggies +$ 1 for stone pot +$ 2 for bulgogi +$ 1 for sunny side up egg =100% delicious I recommend getting the orange ginger sauce. Mmm

Quick and affordable Korean food. Vegan and gluten free. Great place to get a Korean craving fix. There are four steps: select a type of bowl, vegetables, meat and sauce. What you don’t get are the typical complimentary side dishes but for an extra $ 5, i think you get some kimchi. It’s located in a international food court where phở, Japanese, Thai and Mexican food are available.

An absolute gem of flavor! I work down the street and eat here so often that I’ve had to pull back for my wallet’s sake. The ladies at the counter are sweet, and remember what I like without me having to tell them. I like to get the hot stone to crisp the noodles and keep everything warm throughout my extremely satisfying meal. Nom! I recommend this place highly.

This is the best place in the underground food court. For $ 10 you can get a very healthy Korean«salad» lunch. It’s one of the best around, go for the pork belly, that’s the best. You can also get your bibimbap with rice noodles, rice or go pure vege, if you are worried about carbs. You choose your sauce, the ginger is pretty good, but be sure to put some spice on it, it’s Korean after all. Sometimes they will throw in the crab soup on the side for free.

This is Korean Chipotle basically. Spicy Pork Belly is the meat you want. Opt for the spicy ‘bibim’ sauce, but«not too much».

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Let me repeat that again — don’t be afraid of this place because of its«food court» setting. BibimBar is legit the bomb dot com. This is right down the street from my office so I tend to find myself here more often than I’d like to admit but it’s totally worth it! I typically get a regular bowl with brown rice, all of the veggies, chicken, bulgogi, or spicy pork belly for a protein, kimchi, and medium spicy sauce. Every different combination I’ve tried has been amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Food is ok as far as food court expectations go. Nothing to write home about. Shady pricing practices, upcharged me for a side that was clearly marked for a lower price as a side on their menu(and the upcharge wasn’t mentioned anywhere else). Shady pricing practices won’t bring you back customers, folks.

I was searching for Korean food for lunch and Bibimbar showed up with 4 stars and decided to check it out. It was out of my way from work, but my coworker and I decided to try it out. The 4 star reviews fooled the heck out of me. Their food is already prepared, so you just pick what kind of sides you and you have a rice or japchae party in your bowl. The food was hella cold and it was super bland. I wont be coming back at all.

First pick your container, then your base(rice or jap chae), your meat, add some veges, sauce, and most importantly PAY. I got the regular bowl with jap chae, bulgogi, and sesame teriyaki. When I saw the jap chae, I literally thought, what is this?! because all it was was clear noodles. No veggies, nothing. I was already disappointed. After I sat down, took a bite, mmm there’s the jap chae flavor I know and love. All the disappointment disappeared. The meat was flavorful and the noodles were perfect. The only thing I disliked was the small bowl size and my food was just warm. Too used to the big bowls I get from Sorabol. Will definitely come back for lunch!

it was ok. Quick rice/noodle bowl. I didn’t get the heapings of meat everyone else got. Tried it with the egg, but skip it, it is overcooked so you don’t get any yolk’y goodness. I got the marinated beef, mixed brown rice and noodle(I recommend that, it was nice to not have all rice which is too much. The spicy wasn’t, as others mentioned. good for a quick bowl. wasn’t a line when I got in, but when I got the food there was. I did order to go, I am very interested in trying to stone bowl, which you can’t get to go. I just have to sucker someone into going there with me at some point.

Food court cuisine at its finest! A little Chipotle-esqe with all the starch, veggie, meat and sauce choices served in a fast casual manner. But if you eat it in the food dungeon, you can upgrade to a hot stone bowl that will crisp your rice and keep your food warm. Ends up being a bit cheaper than ordering dolsot bibimbap in a waiter service restaurant. Kimchi Tofu Soup: More exciting than the free miso soup that Japanese places often give you. Reminded me a bit of cabbage borscht since the cabbage flavor dominated the soup more than the pickled or spicy flavors of the kimchi. Just enough tofu to give some morsels of texture, but nothing like a soondubu. Spicy Pork Belly in Stone Bowl: I’ve tried the various meats and the spicy pork belly is definitely my favorite. It’s like triple thick bacon that is mostly firm on the outside with some tender section in the center. The spicy sauce adds a nice accompaniment and, since it’s already giving you a kick, you can feel free to order a not-so-spicy sauce at the end like orange ginger. The raw veggies(carrots, red cabbage) were crisp and fresh while the pickled and cooked veggies each had their own nice flavor and texture profile. I was partially tempted to eat each one separately, but then that notion passed and I mixed it all together per usual. With the stone bowl I like to have a thin layer of white rice on the bottom, so it gets nice and crispy, and then some slimy(in a good way) sweet potato noodles on top. The staff seems happy to oblige my quirky starch order.

Honestly, this place was the best selection out of all the eateries in that underground space in my eyes. And 3 stars is a fair rating that is representative of how the food was: serviceable. I ordered a hot stone bowl with brown rice, all the veggies available, pulled beef, and had it topped with spicy sauce($ 11). The portions themselves were generous and the beef tasted a little stringy but cooked decently enough. However, the sauce definitely tasted more sweet than spicy. Well, it’s not like it’s an authentic Korean stone bowl restaurant, so I was okay with it. It’s a decent option to grab a quick lunch if you’re tired of sandwiches or boxed salads(which are EVERYWHERE), but I probably wouldn’t come back repeatedly for this.

3.5 I got the noodles with bulgogi. The sauce was not spicy. It was more sweet than anything. The food made me quite gaseous. Not cool.): Probably wouldn’t come back even if I was in the area.

NOT A FANOFPULLED«MEAT» Last Wednesday my coworker bought me lunch. It was a nice gesture from her as I never asked or expected it. We were going to «The Dungeon», a downstairs food court at corner of Bush Street and Kearny Street. When I go to «The Dungeon» I go to Foogle to buy lunch. This was my first time I went to BimbimBar. The concept for your lunch bowl is you order either rice or noodles, choose of meat, and select a sauce. I wasn’t sure what to order since this was my first time. On the counter there was a sign of a new item — J Bap, which is sunny side egg, rice, pulled beef, and American Cheese. I ordered this dish because like Anthony Bourdain I’m an egg slut. I liked almost everything of the dish. The mixture of rice and American cheese had a texture of macaroni and cheese. I love that the egg was sunny side up instead of over easy as yolk tends to be creamier. When you break the egg yolk and eat it with rice and cheese the texture is similar to a risotto. I liked everything except the pulled beef. In general I don’t like pulled or shredded meat because the quality it possess. I think pulled pork is overrated because it tends to be flavorless or dry. When it comes to nachos I never order shredded chicken because it makes the dish watery. There’s a difference between when the meat is moist or eatery. Moist meat brings out the flavor of the meat while watery meat makes the meat flavorless. For the dish I ordered the pulled beef not only was flavorless but watered-down the dish. It turned the creamy egg yolk into a soup. If I do come here to eat again I’ll make sure I’ll order a meat that isn’t pulled or shredded.

As sketchy as this place is… I really wanted to love it. You’ll enter through a bannered doorway that says«food court», the. You’ll descend down a set of steps into a small«food court». If you don’t actively look for bibimbar, you’ll probably miss it. You’ll find bibimbar on the side near the steps so it’s not immediately apparent. Service was nice. No complaints. Very fast and efficient. I ordered the bibimbap bowl with white rice. The ingredients seemed fresh enough, but it didn’t stand out. It was slightly above your average bibimbap, but nothing to rave about. I might give the pork belly a try next time and pair it up with a sodden sauce. Maybe that will change my mind.

BibimBar is located within the International Food Court at Sutter and Bush. You order at the counter and find a table within the food court to enjoy your food. I typically order the Dolsot Bibimbap with pork or chicken. The whole idea is that the stone bowl is hot to cook and make the rice crispy. However, this stone bowl isn’t that hot and the rice usually doesn’t get too crispy. The food here is pretty good and a solid go-to place for lunch! The flavors are somewhat americanized but still think it’s delicious. I recommend coming here especially if you are craving Korean bibimbap!

How many times have you descended a sketchy looking flight of stairs to find a crowd of businesspeople clamoring over Azn food?! If the answer is none, come check out IFC and make a beeline for BibimBar, a gold star among the plethora of eateries down here. You get to pick your style, base, toppings, & sauce. I’ll parrot everyone else and say that it’s Chipotle-style even though I’ve never stepped foot in a Chipotle. Figure out what you want before you get up there and be vocal about it otherwise you will get eyes rolled at you! D: My favorite? Bulgogi BiBim Hot Stone with ½ brown rice, ½ japchae and whatever sauce the lady decides to throw on it. She said it was«special mix» for me the first time and special it was! Putting your faith in strangers usually works :] I’ve burned both my hands + mouth eating my lunch because I’m both overeager and clumsy when I’m hungry, but totally worth it for the nurungji(scorched rice) and crispy japchae. That mixed with the tasty bulgogi and vegetables helps me reach a rare state of lunchtime zen. The portion you get has been enough for lunch + dinner for me multiple times. You also get a free kimchi tofu soup with a meal here. It’s soothing and yummy. And did I say free? :D BibimBar is a quick, healthy lunch that’s cost-effective even by non-FiDi standards. I find it funny and sad how the line after 12 will block the whole storefront of The House of Lumpia. It’s a dog eat dog world!

I would’ve never found this place if it weren’t for Unilocal. It’s located in an underground food court with a variety of other Asian options(Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, etc) so it doesn’t stand out that much from the street. This place is essentially a Chipotle for bibimbap. You can order a bowl, hot stone bowl, wrap or guksu(cold soba noodles), and then pick a base or two(white rice, brown rice or japchae), a meat(or vegetarian), veggies and sauce. I ordered a bowl with brown rice, chicken, all the veggie toppings and bibimbar spicy sauce on the side. The food is decent, not bad for a food court and a quick lunch to go, but the portion size is pretty small for $ 8.65. The chicken is pretty well cooked and flavored and I liked the pickled veggies, but the other veggies were just raw veggies like a salad. Good for an easy lunch and it’s a healthy portion size despite the price. I’d probably come back if I were craving quick Korean food, but not particularly impressed.
