Awesome coffee! Just a little on the pricey side and a bit of wait as it is usually quite busy and not so easy to find a table.

Amazing coffee. I got the latte. The caffeine didn’t make me gittery at all, and it definitely gave me the energy I needed. The people who work here are super friendly, and they are all very passionate about the coffee. The man who made our drip was fantastic. Great atmosphere and ambience for a nice, relaxing Saturday afternoon. Definitely recommend it!

My favorite spot for Coffee when I’m in SF! Everything I have ordered here exceeds my expectations. COFFEE is top notch, but also serve awesome yogurt with granola and even their oatmeal is fantastic. Blue Bottle is full of friendly employees that care about quality coffee and breakfast. PLEASEOPEN A LOCATION in SANDIEGO! Please!!!

I think this location lacks the cheery atmosphere of the Ferry Building location. It’s possible the rainy Tuesday morning didn’t help. The location is barely marked on the outside so I had to use my smart phone map application which had me walking in circles. I ordered a drip coffee which cost $ 3.50. My favorite coffee in the country, Three Africans, was not available as pour over which saddened me. The staff was a friendly as hip coffee employees can be. My coffee was very dark and oily, thick like motor oil. I’m not a coffee novice so something was off. I drank about half and opted not to tempt fate with an acid induced stomach ache.

Came here after a tiring day of apartment hunting and I’m so glad I did! The coffee was strong, but not overly so, and it was the perfect pick me up after an exhausting day. Definitely better than your local Starbucks or Coffee Bean! The cashier was also super patient as I was thinking about what to get. Wish I had more time to sit down and truly enjoy the coffee, but I guess I’ll do that the next time I come by!

Ordered the Bella Donovan: «DAMN!»(Coffee can taste this good?) Also had an apple + brown butter cake: «Pffffftt… I need 12,000 of these.» The staff are also welcoming, and treated me like a friend: «What are you doing later, Mike?» This place is great!

This is the 2nd Blue Bottle Coffee establishment that I have been to and this one was even better than the last. It’s located in the back corner of a building but you’ll know you’re at the right place when you see the long line of people out the door trying to get their caffeine fix. I ordered the Caffe Latte and my cousins ordered the Hot Cocoa. The latte was just as good as I had hoped. Rich coffee flavor with a smooth creamy finish from the milk. Plus the art is spectacular! These baristas are pros! Somehow they are able to create art in every single cup. The hot cocoa was amazing as well! Kids may not like it because it has a dark chocolate taste to it, but I loved it! And it doesn’t have that chalky feeling at the end that you normally get at Starbucks. Overall, the place is nice, with more seating than the Oakland location. The location is away from the main street so you have to be in the know to find out. The coffee here is top notch plus they serve food like waffles and such. Highly recommend!

I ordered a siphon which was really good and got me going in the morning… I am from LA and they only have their blend for some reason so it was definitely a positive experience being able to try a single origin coffee I also had a bread with poached eggs with a side of marmalade which was really delicious. Recommend also trying their hot chocolate. one of the best I’ve had in California

Tried their drip coffee au lait on a rainy day and it was smooth and mellow yet strong. The location itself is kind of hard to find. It’s in the corner of the business building. It’s neat and also busy bustling with hipsters in the morning. Like WOW I couldn’t believe I was in the vicinity of so many hipsters all in one space. But I guess coffee brings beautiful people together haha

This place definitely has the hipster atmosphere for coffee shops. I have been here twice and have gotten their mocha and new orleans iced coffee. It was fairly expensive, and the taste was very different than the coffee I was used to. So it was hit or miss. I persoanlly didn’t think it was that special, but I definitely know a lot of my friends are huge fans of it.

The coffee I had wasn’t that great, it was not very warm and had a strange bitter after taste that I didn’t quite like. Besides that it was alright. It also took me around 10 minutes to get my coffee which is like double how long I usually wait for coffee at Special Extra or Philz. People gave really positive feedback of Blue Bottle, but I failed to see it this time. I’ll try it again, hopefully it will be better. I have to admit the environment was really appealing and clean. They served high quality brown sugar which I appreciated and the service was excellent.

Blue Bottle Coffee is exactly what you expect it to be. The coffee is superb, the store is clean and modern with ample seating, the service is prompt and helpful. But for me, this brand of hipster is juuuust too uppity. Even a dab of cozy/friendly/mellow would make this place five stars for me. Come for really great coffee, do come. But know that you’ll inevitably leave feeling a bit superior to anyone who hasn’t walked in, wrestling with the tension of whether or not your love for quality lattes has made you a coffee snob.

If you are willing to bear the line, Blue Bottle consistently serves up the best coffee in all of SF. I always get a soy latte, and it is absolutely divine. I crave it all the time. Definitely worth the wait!

Blue never cease to amaze me! Consistent with the quality of their coffee. I use to go to the Ferry Building location but so glad I found this one on Mint. Don’t have to crowd with the tourists and great large communal table to sit and enjoy your coffee. I tried their shortbread and almond rocher and both were amazing especially with my cappuccino. What a great start to my morning! ;) This place gets super busy. I’m sure that’s the case for all Blue locations.

I love this coffee shop. It’s trendy, cool looking with tall ceilings and away from the street in a quiet corner. If you did not know this place existed you probably would not find it. There is no sign outside the shop and all you see the number 66 Mint outside the shop and a small Blue Bottle logo. It looks like a chemistry lab on the inside with narrow long tables and some space to sit along the big old windows and look out. It’s certainly not the place to sit out and people watch as there is barely anyone on this street besides people who are coming to this shop. The inside however is a whole different story… trendy people ordering coffee and eating breakfast ;-)) I love their coffee and whilst I am not a big fan of cold brew and so on, I always appreciate a good cuppa coffee :-) they also have a limited choice of food items and you can buy beans to take home. They use cloverleaf organic milk and the coffee has been consistently good here.

Blue bottle chain always find hidden gems and alleyways to locate their coffee beans at. This place is one of those spots. I was meeting up with an out of city, dear friend of mine and opted for Blue bottle since it is a staple for San Francisco. This coffee stop was it. It’s tucked away in an alley that is not too far from central Westfield mall and offers seclusion if you want to get away from the bustling crowd. Quaint surrounding and an open plaza was of existence here. Like Blue bottle coffee’s aroma, the ambiance provided an urban feel to just shy yourself into. Kickback and remember to smell the coffee.

The location is beautiful with all the big windows and white walls, but not a place I would want to sit at all day. I noticed a lot of different accents being spoken around me, such diversity sipping on this coffee. Behind the iPad register, the smiley barista was friendly and asked a few questions about my coffee preferences and then got me a New Orleans Iced Coffee. Coffee is simple here, but it’s been perfected.(I guess I just don’t like iced coffee?) What I liked about the coffee lady, she was personable! She talked about how she’s from Walnut Creek and got my molasses cookie(a great pairing with the iced coffee by the way) It’s good, but not a place that I’d crave. It’s not necessarily an experience or anything I’m writing home about. Next!

Hands down, best coffee I’ve had yet. The NOLA iced coffee with almond milk(although a whopping $ 5) is 100% worth it. My boyfriend and I were not sure what to expect when we came here, but were completely blown away. I was so in love with it that I had to stop myself from drinking the whole thing in a few minutes! My boyfriend was the opposite and made sure to savor every last drop. We were able to find a spot at the table to relax that had a light breeze. The area for the line is very short, so it seems to always be out the door. But don’t let this fool you — many people are getting to-go drinks and don’t sit down to enjoy them. It’s a very small location, but suits the branding perfectly. There’s a lot of light wood and white, open, airy space. I wouldn’t plan on sitting here for very long, but you can easily hang out for 10 – 20 minutes. Would come out of my way to go here again, even though it’s in a bit of a random alleyway. Might even want to buy some of their bagged coffee!

Ended up here on a coffee adventure around the city with some fellow work peeps since a lot of us had some time to kill before having to head back to the airport to go home. It’s sort of off the beaten path in a corner of an alley with other businesses and food trucks — so if you get distracted, you might pass it by. The confusing part was that they have a satellite station with a pop-up tent to help alleviate all the traffic going into the retail space — they serve the same stuff inside, but they don’t have any iced drinks and it’s a much more abbreviated menu. The girl working the booth noticed stunned expressions when everything that was being offered on the Unilocal app was nowhere to be found, and told us that we probably wanted to turn around and head to the REAL shop. She was right! I loved the indoor/outdoor coffee shop. Since it was a nice day, you could sit inside while looking out without having the windows in your way. You got some fresh air without having to be hit with the sun. The aroma of the café was quite strong as it’s not a huge place, but when a lot of people are inside, it gets quite warm with body heat real fast. I’m sure the dual reasoning for no windows was to allow for a cross breeze to come in through the café to make sure it didn’t become an oven. They have the standard lattes, mochas, coffees and such, but they have some cool cold brew selections as well as concoctions that look like they’re being crafted in a science laboratory. The more complex and crazy you get — the more expense your cup of Joe becomes. As a creature of habit, I went with an Iced Americano and it did not disappoint. They pull their own shots here so my drink was nice and strong. The pastries and desserts looked fantastic, but since I had just had breakfast, I was not in the mood. If you love their coffee, they sell it by the package in both whole beans and ground, which is a nice touch if you’re just visiting and want to experience they great options in the comfort of whatever city you are in. Service was friendly and I really enjoyed my drink. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in SF… hopefully with more room in my stomach for a sweet treat to pair with it!

Oji(wan) I will follow you to the end of the Earth and back just to learn your delicious ways! In case you’re not familiar, which I certainly wasn’t before visiting Blue Bottle, Oji is a Japanese method of preparing cold brewed coffee that produces a more viscous final product with a complex flavor offering notes of bourbon and chocolate balanced out with just the right amount of acidity and brightness. At the back of this Blue Bottle location you can see the Oji apparatus used to brew this beautiful beverage. It was truly a work of art and something to behold. I wish I had asked how it worked, but I was mesmerized by the black gold slowly dropping and collecting at the bottom and forget to ask. I’m all about new experiences and I never really thought a coffee shop would deliver one. But Blue Bottle proved it ain’t your typical coffee shop from the minute we walked in. I enjoyed my Oji to the last drop, and wish there was a place to get some in Reno. Until then, I’m looking forward to trying the espresso roast I picked up!
