Not a good service. The drinks were not that great. Would not recommend it. There are plenty of other bars around. Parking was difficult.

I have to say I was a tad disappointed in this place. It is beyond over priced for what it is. I came here for happy hour with a few friends and we got a few drinks and some rolls. The rolls were tiny… for the $ 10-$ 14 dollar price I expected at least a decent portion, this was 8 tiny pieces… Besides that, the spicy tuna tasted a bit funky. At what ended up being $ 40 per person, you would expect better quality. On the other hand however, the service was great.

Ordered from Blue Fin Sushi using Eat24 and it was delivered in ~20 mins! Fast sushi delivery makes me SOHAPPY. Their speed might be because I ordered during a slow time — 9PM. I love that this place is still open so late at night for when I get after work cravings! I ordered the 49er roll, Super California, and seaweed salad. All were super yums! The 49er is comparable to the Citrus Salmon roll at Daigo(my favorite sushi roll ever), but a few bucks cheaper. Pricing here is average for SF. I’ve found my new favorite go-to for sushi delivery, and will definitely stop by in person one of these days.

I love the volcano roll here, seriously it tastes like crack, I keep coming back. The rest of the rolls are good, not the best but not bad either. The ingredients are fresh, but I’ve had better. The location is great and they have a lounge section where you can watch tv and drink.

The fish is good here! I like the ambiance although it was a bit dark. The place is spacious and very classy and clean. It was a little pricier than my preference but I had a Groupon! We ordered the Sea Bass which came with rice, veggies and miso soup, the Sun Kiss, Sun Rise, and lastly the Romeo and Juliet Roll. Everything tastes delicious but I think the Sun Kiss was okay because it was mainly crab and mayo wrapped with salmon(salmon was very tasty though). Not worth my money in my opinion. Sea bass was delicious but was around $ 20. All in all, I think I would come here again if I had another Groupon. Otherwise, it’s just too pricey for my liking unless it was a special occasion.

Went to Blue Fin Sushi last night unexpectedly and walked in with six people, no problem. The staff was attentive, although all of our dishes were served at different times, the Nigiri not arriving until we asked for it and the rest of us were finished. I had the Dragon Roll, edamame, miso soup and tried the roll a friend had which was«The spiciest on their menu». All were very tasty!

My sister took me to this sushi place that was I her old neighborhood, I was impressed with it, lighting was perfect, not to dark not to light, and the serve was great. Always on top of it. Was a little warm in there but that was the only thing that I would say neg about that place. Other then that the rolls where amazing! Diff would go back there.

Service is good. We got a sushi boat. Neither the sashimi nor the oysters are fresh. Look at the photo. The oyster broke down after i picked it up with chopsticks. The chef told me it’s because the oysters are fat. Then I got sick the next day.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend’s coworker. It has a really pleasant ambiance, music wasn’t not too loud, clean, open, ample seating considering the size. The food had such great flavor! –The 49’er Roll was my favorite, however it wasn’t very big. Nonetheless, it was seasoned very well… It had a little bit of a salty /lemon zest which was strikingly delightful. No need for soy sauce. –We also got the«sunkiss» which was good but awkward to eat. Essentially it is a ball of snow crab with avocado wrapped in salmon. When you bite into it, the snow crab shmooshes out the bottom/sides making a mess lol. The other two rolls we got were the«Grasshopper» and«Gold Mine» . –The Grasshopper has a perfect blend of warm/crunchy and cold and refreshing. The shrimp tempura inside was nice and crunchy and the exterior avocado was cold and fresh. –The Goldmine has mango on it and it was mm mm good !! More sweet so it was a good roll to end with since it was more«dessert» like. Service was fast! The rolls seemed to have come out within 10 minutes and one after the other in perfect timing. All around very impressed. Would definitely return next time I’m in San Francisco.

Very tasty sushi rolls. We had the Seaking roll — eel and avocado topped off with uni and ikura $ 16.95, Pay Roll — Soft shell crab, snow crab, eel, garlic, avocado, cucumber, tobiko and green onion $ 15.95 and Sunkiss — 2 balls of Snow crab and avocado wrapped with fresh salmon $ 8.50(prefect with a touch of soy sauce), The Chirashi Don $ 17.95 was fresh, big slices and excellent! Very attentive and friendly wait staff. Water refilled without asking constantly. Extra napkins dropped off. Low sodium soy offered. Etc Clean and sleek look albeit a bit dark: P Only drawback is this meal was $ 75(tax/tip included), so come during happy hour and many items are 25% off OR get an online deal that they have sometimes.

Birthday dinner w/party of 10. Everywhere else on the street had a 2 hour wait so we somehow stumbled on this spot. They seated us right away. They allow kids too even though it seems like a lounge environment. Food was good, served fast. Drink specials even on Saturdays! $ 5 drinks, where can you find that? For the price this place is awesome. They have darts that the kids had fun with. The waitress was great serving our large party. Did these super cool rainbow shots for us too! Pleasantly surprised by this place!

Pretty good! Came here on Valentine’s day with a reservation. We got there early, but they were able to seat us right away even though the place was packed. They’ve turned one half of this place into a bar/lounge area, and the second half into the restaurant. The prices for this place were a bit steep, in my opinion, especially the sushi rolls. I would suggest getting the sashimi and nigiri! We had the half dozen oysters with uni and quail egg, which I highly recommend! It was pretty much an oyster shooter :) The uni had a great texture, and all three went well with each other. We also had the blue shrimp nigiri and amaebi nigiri, both excellent and melt in your mouth good! The sunrise was really good too! It was sushi rice wrapped in raw salmon, topped with tobiko and a quail egg. A few of my favorite things. :D The live scallops that they had on their specials menu and the Ice-land roll, I could have done without. The walu that topped their iceland roll had a water-y, just thawed taste. Service was pretty good! All the waiters and waitresses were attentive, although they didn’t seem to have a system, because 3 of them asked us if we wanted drinks, one right after the other. haha All the food came out super fast too! Right after we placed our order, we saw the sushi chef making it. And at the end of the meal, they gave me a rose in honor of Valentine’s day.

Being a big fan of sashimi, I have been back a few times for their sushi boat. It’s not a bad deal and the quality of fish is great most of the time! Although rolls are a bit smaller, portion wise, compared to some places. There’s also livingsocial deals you can look for if you are looking for a good deal. That does not include the sushi boat though. Their service is also pretty nice and attentive. You may need to flag them down now and then, but I’ve never had an issue. They also have a cool looking lounge area on one side with a bar and dart machines. I’ve always wanted to go test that out. Maybe next time because I’ll definitely be back.

Okay-was there last week. Had all the specials – and my absolute favorite – Live Uni(sea urchin roe)! This was 5 stars all the way! Still not my favorite in San Francisco, but definitely 5 star! Pictures coming soon!

Food came out with the quickness. Service was great, or maybe cause it wasn’t busy that day? Came here at 7:30 Wednesday night with a friend. We ordered quite a lot for 2, but hey it’s okay to treat yourself once in a while! The live scallop was amazing. Live uni melts in your mouth, a bit pricey but was well worth it. Spicy salmon roll, delicious and fresh! Dozen oysters, no complaints! Overall was good, other than everything being on the pricey side.

The décor is really nice, and the atmosphere is loud. The music over the speakers is of the Top-40 variety. My roommate and I had dinner there early, so it seemed louder, and it probably was also playing in their bar area. I ordered the dragon roll, and it was good. The unagi was delicious. It was as if it was grilled a little. I also ordered inari, but they forgot it, so I had to order it again. But other than that, it was a good dining experience. They also have happy hour every day, which is worth checking out.

Two weeks ago, I passed by this place and saw a huge banner advertising their sushi boat for $ 50. Who can pass that up?! So today, my bff and I finally had our sushi dinner here. Upon entering, silly me didn’t realize there were two doors, one for the lounge and bar area and another for the restaurant part. Whoops. But the bartender was friendly and smiled while I pointed to the other side apologetically. We got seated next to the fish tank(nice view… but poor fishies had to watch us eat their friend…). Upon sitting down, we got served iced water and some pickled cabbage. We ordered the $ 50 sushi boat, which we came here to try, half a dozen oysters with uni and quail egg, stuffy mushrooms, and lady finger roll. We got the oysters first and the mushrooms and roll came shortly after. Then our final surprise… the sushi boat… IT’S HUGE! 5⁄5 Oysters — I never tried uni before and surprisingly, it matches with the oyster so well. I loved it! Very fresh and sweet. 4⁄5 Stuffy mushroom — It’s stuffed with spicy kani. A teeny bit too spicy but yummy nevertheless. 4⁄5 Lady Finger roll — I don’t remember what’s in it, but it’s wrapped with soy paper. Crunchy, warm, and delicious. 6⁄5 Sushi boat — Yea… it’s so good, I have to go over the 5. The reason why we ordered the roll was because we didn’t expect the boat to be so big. But when the waitress put it down, it actually is the length of the table! It contains four more regular oysters, a shrimp head, assorted sashimi, assorted nigiri, and california rolls. Sashimi was so fresh and sweet. My first piece was the hamachi sashimi and I almost had goosebumps when I put it in my mouth, almost. By the end of our dinner, I was working overtime to finish the last of the food. It was super worth it. Super friendly servers that kept our tea and water filled at all times. Always smiling. So I had to tip them well! Definitely coming back for more!

We ended up stopping by bluefin for dinner after driving by their happy hour sign. It was 25% off all sushi rolls between 5−7pm. We ordered a cherry blossom roll, a dragon roll, takoyaki, half dozen oysters, and one of their specialty cocktails. The rolls were good and my boyfriend really enjoyed the oysters. I personally hate oysters but he got me to try one anyways and it wasn’t bad compared to others I’ve had. Still not a fan but my opinion doesn’t count because I already have a thing against oysters lol. The litchi salt frozen cocktail was really good but got really strong towards the end. I can’t wait to come back again and try their strawberry sake mojito! The service was great and our waiter was very attentive.

Went for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Warning: plan ahead as parking is nearly impossible in this neighborhood. The restaurant is quite large and can accommodate large parties easily. We ordered a variety of rolls to share but everyone ordered their own entrees. My husband and I shared a chirashi and salmon onigiri. The chirashi was fresh with one slice of each fish and several slice of tomago. The onigiri was preeminently rice and wasn’t seasoned at all. There was maybe one bite of salmon in it– not recommended.

In an area flush with Japanese restaurants, Blue Fin easily sets itself apart from its competition. After all, there aren’t many restaurants in the Outer Richmond that can feature a restaurant and bar/lounge joined at the hip. Man, if only the food could have be more exciting! Offering a mix/fusion of Asian dishes, Blue Fin’s menu is almost as unique as the restaurant itself. Sushi, appetizers, noodles, salads, entrees, cocktails and more certainly wins them points for variety. — B52ROLL — Spicy Hamachi, Shiso Leaf, Cucumber, and Tobiko…$ 8.50 ( ) Pretty«meh». I liked the shiso leaf, but the heat from the fish was diffused by the cucumber. Not awful, but it didn’t do much for me either. I don’t think I’d get it again. — ROMEO&JULIETROLL — Salmon and Avocado wrapped with Soybean Paper, topped with Scallop, Tobiko, and Spicy Mayo…$ 10.95 (see above) The three of us agreed this was the best roll of the night. The roll wasn’t heavy on rice or mayo, and the salmon and scallops seemed decently fresh. Certainly worth trying. — CATERPILLARROLL — Eel and Cucumber topped with Avocado, …$ 9.50 ( ) The taste was pretty standard, but it’s not a bad choice. Although it’s comparable to any other decent sushi joint, both the portion and price were quite friendly. — TAKOYAKI…$ 6.95 ( ) I love takoyaki, but this one underwhelmed like almost everything else we tried. Even though the pieces were sizable, they were light on octopus given their size. The bonito flakes were nice though. — KIMCHIFRIEDRICE…$ 10.95 ( ) I didn’t expect much and that’s what I got. It was apparent just from the looks of it that there wasn’t much kimchi flavor. Given how it tasted like a generic fried rice dish, I think we might have been better off with the unagi fried rice we were eyeing. To be honest, it kind of bums me out to be giving Blue Fin only three stars. Especially since I thought they were pretty good the first time I tried them a while back. I’ll be back at some point to give them another shot, just in case we just happened to catch them on a bad night.
