Interesting beer selection, but unfortunately they were out so many beers there wasn’t much to choose from. There isn’t much ambience but it’s a welcome addition to the area near Zynga.

This place has a Doblet unit Nice. The menu is small but focused. Coffee tasted pretty well – I especially liked the large curvy cups. We came here for lunch and the chicken salad was pretty good – it’s the only time I’ve seen any salad that has all the lettuce shredded up. Nice touch. The ambiance inside is also quite nice. Not a lot of tables, but feels quite cozy. Overall, a good place to chill out.

This is a nice little bar. It’s pretty clean and the service is very friendly. The Mac and cheese and chicken wings were especially good.

Perfect hideaway spot. Menu is pretty decent. Bone marrow fries are pretty good. Burger was the best. Goat cheese salad was delish. My favorite of all the dishes was pork belly fried rice. The desserts are just okay. Last and certainly not least. The ROOTBEERBEERISAWESOME(5.9%AL) This place is a must try.

We had an unfortunate experience here last week, and it wasn’t because of the food(which has been consistently good every time I’ve eaten here), or the beer/wine offerings(also, great), it was the service. I had just picked up three family members from the airport after a long flight from Boston, and they had decided prior to their arrival this is where they wanted to have dinner. I called in advance to find out how late the kitchen was open, and we walked over from our apartment(a block away) at 8:30. Two of the guests sat down while the rest of us finished up a conversation outside. I’d say all seven of us were in and seated by 8:45 at the absolute latest. We were left alone to look over our menus(we shared the only three we were provided), and were very eager to place our food and drink order(not only were we starving, but our guests were really looking forward to checking this place out). When our waitress finally came to the table at 9pm, it wasn’t to take our orders, but rather to tell us the kitchen had JUST closed. This is when we realized the lack of service wasn’t because they were slammed(they were decently crowded for a Wednesday night at 8:45, but nothing crazy), but rather because our waitress either wanted to go home, or didn’t want to deal with a large table. I’ve worked in food service, so I understand to an extent, but I can’t express enough how disappointed we were. Unfortunately it’s unlikely we’ll be back unless we’re popping in for a quick bite to eat, and as a result I can absolutely guarantee we will not recommend this restaurant to any of our friends… especially those from out of town. PS The seven of us were going to share three burgers(pretty simple order) and proceed to drink our faces off for the next hour. Luckily Mars Bar saved the day.

I’ve been here numerous times. The wings are really good! Best wings in the bay area. The pork belly friend rice is also delicious as is the gumbo and mac and cheese. There is a nice variety of craft beers and they always have an IPA that I have not tried before. I’ve brought my kids here and they also love it! I’ve heard that this place is owned by a SHC alumni, GOIRISH!

One of the best fried chicken sandwiches in SOMA. Dark meat chicken without a ton of overbearing toppings. Some slaw and slivers of peppers, so it’s got a mild bite. The chicken is crisp, juicy, and flavorful. Comes with side salad that is just ok but you can upgrade to fries for a couple dollars more. Kind of worth it if you aren’t on a diet and like fries — they are better than most. Way better than nearby, overhyped Market and Rye’s fried chicken. Worthy rival to other popular SF spots.

Came for lunch. The fried chicken sandwich is a must! The chicken skin is perfectly crisp, and the meat in incredibly moist and tender. I don’t like slaw(which comes inside the sandwich), so I swapped that out for some tomato, lettuce, and pickles. Delish! The fries were also so very good, perfectly cooked and salted. This is a nice space. I came at noon for lunch, and while there was a good number of folks, there was no wait and it never got crowded. I’ll have to be back for the happy hour. You’re allowed to taste the beers before committing to one!

First, let me say I’m probably being a little harsh with this review; it’s more of a 2.5 star place that I’ve chosen to downgrade to 2 instead of bumping up to 3. Why? It’s pretty easy for a gastropub to booze me up and send me on my merry way, but I wouldn’t end up going back to this one. Why? Smallish variety of beers, none of which appealed to me that day, and underseasoned food.

If you were jewelry shopping like we were… And you know how that doesn’t take just a few minutes, I’m sure you’ve built up quite the appetite. This spot is one of those hidden gems where you say, thank GOODNESS! I’m not familiar with the food stops in the area but it is worth it. A cold beer. A good sized burger. And that feeling of ‘ohhhh yeah that hit the spot’. Go here. Oysters for an appetizer. Hubby ordered a fried chicken burger. It was massive. With REAL potato French fries. I had the Pork Belly Fried Rice with two over medium eggs over. Sriracha on the side. Yes please. We will be back!

We’ve been meaning to come here for the past six months and finally made it. WOOT! The service was great. It was a medium amount of busy– not poppin like crazy but not deathly slow. We were able to put in our beer orders pretty quickly and BAM! Literally a minute later they were delivered and ready to drink. We also ordered the bone marrow fries which were one of the specials of the day and some apple almond ala mode. I’m not a huge bone marrow fan so I’ll pass judgement on that but the apple was delicious. Maybe I just wanted some vanilla ice cream to go with my beer but still…

Tips: Only open till 3pm on Sunday Michelada —(Bloody Mary with Beer instead) Pork Belly Fried Rice($ 11 or $ 12 I forgot…) Fried Chicken Sandwich with Sriracha aioli($ 13) — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - My friend and I got a brunch here around 1pm and the place had plenty of seats left. The fried chicken sandwich is very crispy and the sriracha aoili is not too spicy for my taste.(I usually cannot do spicy things) Very tasty, I’d recommend getting it. The fried rice was great as well and great for egg-lovers because the eggs are cooked over easy great for mixing in with the fried rice. Our server was very nice and attentive too. Overall, I had a great meal!

Though a bit off the beaten path, Blueprint Tap Room is well worth the search. My friend works nearby and was heading there with coworkers, so I grabbed the 9 from Market and stopped in for a brew and a bite. The place has a warehouse vibe to it, but it’s clean and new-feeling, and with a couple indoor plants and Zynga across the street, I felt happy. The bartender said they’ve been there for almost 2 years, and I thought, wow, I really need to be more adventurous in my beer seeking abilities. I had the«Le Freak» belgium IPA which may be my new favorite beer. It was sweet, hoppy, and strong at 9.2%. It paired well with my Bacon Mac ‘N Cheese with Fontina cheese, scallions, and topped with breadcrumbs($ 8). My friend wasn’t too hungry so I ate most of it, and it was really delicious, the bacon definitely made the dish. I will surely be back since on my way out I noticed their Bone Marrow Fries which I feel like I need in my life. Cheers!

Pretty good beer selection, though they were out of Le Freak when I came. I had the fried chicken sandwich and was quite pleased. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The slaw had a nice spicy kick to it, the bun was solid. The fries were well executed as well. Just not sure why I got charged $ 11 for this when it said $ 10 on the menu… Maybe the fries are $ 1 extra?

The place is directly across the street from Zynga, so I image they make bank during the lunch hour, and, of course, happy hour. Zynga’s the lucky one, though. BEERSELECTION. Freaking on-point. Huge variety, and they offer a flight of 4 beers(~4 oz each?), and you can pick and choose your favorites. Very awesome, and very affordable. BLUEPRINTWINGS. Sharing these bad boys was difficult, as they were fantastic, some of the best gastropub-ish wings that I’ve had. Definitely worth getting an order(or 2) of! BLUEPRINTANGUSBURGER. Topped with aged cheddar, grilled onions, pickles, horseradish aioli, and bacon(extra), it was one of the juiciest, most flavorful burgers out there. Again, hard to share when you just want to keep stuffing your face with it. FRIEDCHICKENSANDWICH. This place can do no wrong when it comes to things on a bun. Piled with cabbage chili-slaw and sriracha aioli, it had the perfect kick, while still giving you tender, moist fried chicken. The Kennebac fries with rosemary aioli we got with it were pretty amazing, too. SERVICE. We had the nicest server out there, super friendly, and the wait time for everything was astonishingly short. LOVE this place, never in the area but would make the drive to come back for a chill meal!

I came here for the SFBEERWEEK and they had the 10 $ pairings. I had me a sweet pairing which was dark chocolate pudding with a spur beer. The beer … DELICIOUS. The desert… ACCEPTABLE. Considering this was an L shape restaurant there really isn’t much space to miss you so the waiters were friendly and came by often. The crowd was good and adultish. Will try again soon!

Came with the fellas for SF Beer Week Came in a little after 6 and suprisingly(or not) the place was full but not packed. Tables turned over quick and I liked the comfortable vibe from the casual techie crowd. Specifically for Beer Week they have beer and food pairings like a carnitas tostada and IPA for $ 10. Better than average selection of both local and regional beers on tap. I made my own pairing with a beer flight and some fries with this zesty garlicky aoli. The 4 x 5oz sample flight was $ 10 Buzzerkly Strong Pale Ale from Walnut Creek Petrus Bruin Sour from Belgium Oaktown Brown Ale from Walnut Creek — My favorite. Bourbon Barrel Stout from Anderson Valley Pretty good for groups. Casual vibe. Definitely not a sports bar but they do have a tv showing the game. Worthy destination for a SOMA pub crawl.( )
