Had Sara as our guide through wine tasting — such a friendly and knowledgable person! Made an already great experience ten times better. Truly recommend this location!

Disclaimer that I did not visit Bluxome myself but planned and executed a company happy hour here! Everyone who attending loved the setting… relaxed, comfortable, affordable. Having planned this event, I can say the managers are nothing short of fabulous and the price cannot be beat for wine tasting in/around SF. Amazing deal!

The ambience was perfect for a drop in after a long stressful day at work– exposed wood, delicate settings, and the best part: wine flights that were reasonably priced! My coworkers and I also ordered the cheese plate which came with almonds, olives, and dried blueberries. Those matched the fruity reds perfectly. Huge fan of the hostess who helped us out– great attitude and great advice! Will be coming again sometime soon.

Cool space but it was a little disappointing overall. It’s an enormous industrial space that feels like a garage. Despite the great space, they barely have any seating set up, so it isn’t very accommodating. Another strange but true complaint is that the few seats they had were extremely uncomfortable metal stools — so it’s not really set up for relaxing with some wine. On the night we went, they were very understaffed(2 people working the whole place) and the experience suffered as a result. On the plus side, the wine was good, the waitress was very friendly and the cheese plate was delicious.

Wonderful venue with clean cool industrial vibe in a location desperate for wonderful venues. On Friday’s(I think?) there’s a food truck, and that makes it wonderfuller. Having said that, the wines are okay and overpriced for what they are. Go because it’s a convenient place to meet up, not because you’re in the mood for wine tasting. The service is S-L-O-W even when staff members and customers are at a nearly 1:2 ratio. I don’t know what’s so interesting about their cash register but man, they do like to crowd into the little closet it’s kept in and hang out while you make wine glass music. I’ve been twice, I’ll probably go back again because people are always like«meet me down by CalTrain» and you can only say«ugh why» so many times. Hopefully it will be food truck day.

My company had an event here and it was perfect! When we arrived, they had already set up the table & chairs for us — it was beautiful. When most of our party was there, they brought out the wines along with a platter of cheese, crackers, meat, olives, and nuts! I got to try their Russian River Sauvignon, Russian River Chardonnay, and Russian River Pinot Noir — hard to choose a favorite, each wine had a different taste to it. The staff was very accommodating and attentive, especially for such a large group. Beautiful place to have a company event.

I always have a good time at Bluxome — staff is friendly, it’s a nice place to sit and have a glass of wine. I’m a fan of the Pinot & Syrah. Nice place, good wine, reasonable prices.

I want to like this place, but it kind of falls flat in terms of ambiance despite it’s open and modern deco. If you’re looking for a bumpin’ place to have a good time or meet people, this is not it. Tucked away on a quiet street in SOMA close to the Caltrain station, this place feels just as abandoned as it’s location. Probably good for an intimate catch-up with a few friends who don’t talk loudly. The servers here(are they the owners?) are extremely friendly though and will sometimes give you a few complimentary pours of wine.

A great little tasting room on a quiet side street. Check out their newsletter, they always have fun events happening and usually there’s a food truck out front to satisfy the hunger pains.

Eh. I’m sad to disagree with all the stellar reviews but this place was seriously lacking for me. The venue itself is actually great. It would be perfect to rent out for a small event or get together. The space has a very fun, open and modern feel while still feeling oddly intimate. Bonus: It’s also right next to the train station! So no driving out to Napa/Sonoma. Win! Unfortunately after the beauty of the venue and convenience, that’s where the good points stop. I’m trying to(slowly) introduce the beau in to wine, and was really disappointed in the service/experience we had. Don’t get me wrong, our waiter was *very* knowledgable and obviously passionate about wine, and we had great service when it was actually around(rarely). I wanted to share drinks(so I could«help» *ahem* finish anything he didn’t like) and that didn’t seem to go over too well and I felt like it sort of set the tone for a bad day. After our 2nd round of drinks I was so frustrated with the service we decided to head next door instead, to the Local Brewery(which was great, BTW!) Regarding the wine, i’d say just about average in price. Flights are $ 10 – 15 but the pours are very tiny, so I recommend going with one of the $ 15 flights! The wines aren’t the best thing you’ll ever taste, but they’re perfect for a beginning wine drinker who you don’t want to scare off *too* much :) I did, however like the Hurst Vineyard Pinot, which I found significantly more tasty than the Russian River one. Overall…probably wouldn’t be back.

This is one of my favorite places to take people to drinks. It’s open and has a very casual feel, right down to the cornhole in the back. You can actually see the wine barrels and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Wine flights are affordable, even on the cheap side for Soma. The cheese plate is pretty decent as well, but definitely come here for the wine. Stay here for the cool events they host. As long as this place remains unpretentious and chill I will most likely become a member soon!

ive bookmarked bluxome st. winery for a while now, and so happy i got the chance to try it! i’ve been commuting via caltrain so decided to stop by after the commute me to rewind and relax. the place is huggeee(for downtown sf). there are high tops and picnic tables for larger parties, and it seems like you could make reservations for a big group of friends and make a visit out of it! totes cool. we chose flights because i wanted to sample their wines — and lucky that they;re know for their pinot noir! yummmm! $ 15 for 5 tastes — amazing, and all good quality wines! it would’ve been awesome if they could waive the tasting fee upon purchasing a bottle or two, but oh well! would love to come back with a larger group! and they have cheese and crackers and salumi. overall so happy i tried it!

Did a wine and chocolate pairing. bThe dandelion chocolate and brownies were excellent. The last sweet wine was super sweet, 26% residual sugar from the grapes, I think was said. So sweet, almost too sweet. Overall a nice experience though, especially with fun company.

I attended an Eventbrite«Yes» address social event at Bluxome Street Winery on Friday. It was very chill. Getting there early was the key. Eventbrite had an Airvan parked outside and the RoliRoti truck next to it. If you stopped by to chat, you got a spin of a game wheel with a chance to win a prize. I spun the wheel and got a free spin — which led to me drawing a raffle ticket and getting a nifty journal. Attendees also got a ticket for a free taste of wine. Nice. Inside the winery, I chose the BSW Chardonnay, a white wine with buttery notes. On a hot day like Friday, it was refreshing and a pleasant way to start the weekend. People were trickling in and sitting on the wooden benches or the stools by barrels turned into table tops. Pretty relaxing all around and only half a block from the train station-yet a world away!

After several visits to Bluxome, it’s safe to say that this urban winery is 5-stars IMHO. Not only do they churn out great vino, but they also host regular events, ranging from tech gatherings to holiday craft shows. The space itself can host approximately 75 – 100 comfortably? Each time I go, I try a different Bluxome varietal. Chardonnay, Russian River Pinot, Rose — I like ‘em all! Really nice employees, always welcoming guests with a smile and offering a taste. Truly a SF gem.

Oh, San Francisco, thank you for putting a winery /tasting room /event venue just a couple blocks from AT&T Park, so that, when we needed to burn an hour before a Giants game, we could stick our noses in some new wine and do our best«Somm» impersonations while wearing baseball caps and cargo shorts. We tried a nice flight, of which nearly all the wines were very solid. I don’t think they were worth importing back home, but each one, to my mind a few months after the fact, were solid. But the staff was very accommodating — we strolled in just as they were setting up for two(!) private events, but somehow they kept checking in on us and making sure we didn’t feel neglected. Great experience. Tasty wines.

What a surprising and spacious wine venue that is located on the outskirts and in between industrial buildings in SoMa! The space is great for holding private venues in SF — especially when the value of square feet is skyrocketing in the city. Therefore, this Winery is surely a gem! It was simply a pleasant time well spent here with a flight of wine from the whites and the reds! I simply had a leisurely time here and I know you will too!

BSW is a great new winery halfway between 3rd and 4th on Bluxome street. This is conveniently located near the caltrain station and AT&T park. It is our go to place to grab a glass of wine at the end of the day. The interior is very cool with an entire wall made of glass showing barrels upon barrels of their various wines. The high ceilings and large floor area allow for all types of events to be held there, and it is possible to reserve the venue for private parties as well. Every friday they have their own events along with a different food truck parked outside. Having a membership gives you a shipment of bottles a few times a year and the privilege of coming in for a daily glass of wine. It is also dog friendly too, which is a huge plus.
