I have VERY tight, corkscrew-​curly hair. It has always been a challenge finding people who even know how to go about cutting this hairtype, let alone actually executing it well. I consulted Jocelyne at the salon before the appointment, and she understood exactly what I wanted, and how to do about doing it. I am very pleased, which is very rare when it comes to my hair, and I’ll be getting my hair cut much more frequently now that I have someone I trust to do it.

A week later, and I’m still getting compliments on the fabulous haircut Carla gave me. I would recommend her services to anyone… In fact I have done just that on a number of occasions as the compliments have begun pouring in:-)
The salon itself is chic, stylish, clean, and in a great part of town; their staff took great care of me. The front desk attendant was particularly attentive to my needs during my session– making sure I was taken care at all times.
I have a pretty unruly mane of hair; and to make matters worse, have been attempting to cut my own hair for the last few months, so needless to say Carla had her work cut out for her.
Despite the challenges, she managed to give me a stylish, versatile look. I can slick it back w/​product for professional occasions, or let it fly natural when I’m performing with my band etc.
Her rates are also very affordable, meaning she and I can continue sculpting a unique look w/​«touch up» appointments every 2 – 3 weeks.
No more taking matters into my own hands… I won’t trust my hair to anyone but Carla. Thanks guys!

Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Carla, seriously, you’ll be glad you did. Without fail, every time I spend a couple hours with Carla, I leave feeling beautiful. Carla gets me and my hair — so the haircut that ensues is personalized, representing me at my best. I have fine, curly hair that is unruly at the best of times, yet Carla weaves her magic and the tresses calm and behave in extraordinary ways. My haircut looks great for weeks!
Carla is top notch — for curly girls I especially recommend! What makes Carla uniquely great is that she has the technique AND she’s a pleasure to spend time with. And for that, I won’t go anywhere else!

Monique is absolutely amazing. Coolest chick Ever. And, I’ve never had a better haircut than hers. I will be paying her card forward every chance i get. 5starzz. Hands down. And if you bring her a cinnabun you might get a free haircut some body told me.

Carla is awesome, I love when she does my hair. It always turns out great and easy to style after I leave the salon. Plus expect to get lots of compliments from complete strangers.

They do a great job! I just can’t afford to keep going there because of the prices! But it’s Pac Heights so go figure! The customer service is outrageous awesome. Everybody I’ve been to has just been so personable, professional and amazing at working with my hair!

The BEST haircut ever! Shelly is great. I swear there is nothing she can’t do. I fly to California from Nevada so she can cut my hair… yes, she’s that good!

Monique is the best thing that ever happened to my hair! I like to switch my hair up always and she nails the look every time! When I was over my short hair look she was able to give me my long luscious hair back with extensions. I was skeptical of doing extensions (since I’ve seen some pretty bad ones out there), but she did such a great job blending them in that nobody ever knew I had them! I am forever thankful I found my lifetime hairstylist!

Monique has been doing my hair for almost 10 years now. I follow her where ever she goes because I love her that much! My hair is not the easy to work with. It has been thinning out through the years but the way Monique cuts it you would not think it’s thin. She also takes great care when dying my hair because it tends to dry out so quickly and damages easily. I would recommend Monique for any age group or gender. She also does my husbands hair and he is much more particular about his hair than I am.

Shelly did an amazing job coloring my hair. She helped me chose a new tone for my highlights and I love it. Also, Yuni gave a great hair cut and corrected a lot of mistakes that other hair dressers had made. I will be going back!!!

I came here to get my hair done 20s style with finger curls for a holiday party. Carla was awesome and my hair turned out great. She was super friendly, informative and listened to my requests. It took about 2 hours but it looked awesome! I got lots of compliments on it during the party, thanks Carla!
However, the only thing that I wasn’t satisfied with is that when I called to make the appointment, the woman gave me one price over the phone, and when I actually paid I got charged about $ 40 more than what I was told on the phone.

Monique is hands down the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to! I recently decided to go blonde and even with all the different colors of red and brown I had in my hair it came out exactly how I wanted it! Not to mention she has a great personality, and is so easy to talk to! I will never again go to any other stylist.

I’m sure people say this all the time but I don’t write many reviews, HOWever, there is always that one place/​store/​restaurant that breaks your streak. Well, this is that place! Not only is the staff friendly and nice but my hairstylist/​colorist is freaking amazing at her job. I’ve had two pretty drastic hairstyles (ombré effect on dark hair AND cut 10 inches) and «Van Bui» did a fantastic job. She’s not only super cool buuut she’s great at cutting hair. Fantastic all around. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place and furthermore, Van Bui!

Monique has been doing keratin hair extensions for me for 3 years now. I first did it for fun but fell in love with the way they looked and felt. Monique takes her time and is patient in her technique which makes her extensions last a long time and keeps my real hair from pulling out. My extensions looked very natural and lasted 3 – 4 months. I recently moved and tried another stylist and was very disappointed. The extensions were falling off and the keratin bonds were visible. If you are looking for a clean, professional job of keratin fusion extensions, I *highly* recommend Monique! In addition to her talent as a stylist, she has a great personality which makes me continue as a loyal customer, even though I now live out of state.

Had the most amazing experience with Van. I came in with an idea of what I wanted but wasn’t too specific. She ended up doing a balayage/​ombré that was just perfect for me! I plan to grow out my hair so she started pretty high closer to my roots so I won’t need much maintenance. She was very precise and made sure to check in with me every step of the way to make sure I was okay and comfortable. I’m definitely coming back soon to get my hair lightened. Highly recommend her!

Van is awesome! Loved getting a hair cut from her. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and she actually got my mubo jumbo ideas and put them together into exactly what I had in mind! I am definitely getting my next hair cut from Van.

I recently decided that I needed a new place to have my hair cut — and what better idea than to buy a local coupon to try out the services and potentially find my next salon?
Honestly, the coupon thing became such a headache and 4 phones calls later, I decided it wasn’t worth the trouble — I couldn’t even get through the scheduling! I made my last phone call to cancel the appointment, and I got Bella — my future stylist. She listened to my concern and basically changed my mind about coming in, admitting that the receptionist was no longer an employee of the business. She even agreed to honoring the coupon (I had deactivated and cancelled it).
I came in this weekend and the services I requested were a one color process with hair cut and styling. We had a quick consultation (she let me use her phone, and log into pinterest) agreed on a simple rich brown color and talked about what I was looking for in the cut (layered lob).
I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The color is amazing. A rich, shiny, and bold chestnut brown — looks amazing with a red matte lip and my hazel colored eyes. The movement and layers of my hair were what I was looking for. I felt like Bella not only heard me, but really ‘got’ what I was looking for. She was also really easy to talk to and made me feel welcome and relaxed from the moment we met. I would have taken pics if my iPhone wasn’t stolen from me right before the appointment.
The salon is clean and hip. There seems to be a mix of walk-​ins and folks who have been frequenting for awhile. You’re of course offered a drink as soon as you arrive and the vibe is really mellow and friendly.
For a non-​stuffy excellent experience, give Bubble Pop Electric a try. You can eat at Jane before and pick up your red matte lip after, and feel amazing :)
