Along with TCM store advertised a box set for Halloween for $ 19.99. I ordered, they took my money. Then 2 days later canceled my order saying it was mis priced, then took almost a week to put the money back on my card. Never again.

Delivery Agent handles order fulfillment for TCM’s online store. Recently Delivery Agent and TCM collaborated to achieve massive consumer fraud regarding the September 2014 release of the Halloween 15-​disc blu-​ray box set. The set was advertised for $ 19.98.
This item was listed at this price in TCM’s web store for several days, and many hundreds of people ordered it. Funds were debited from bank accounts and credit cards, and order confirmations were sent out.
Then, arbitrarily, Delivery Agent cancelled all the orders, citing a «pricing error». However, funds were never recredited to many bank accounts or credit cards, while OVER 500 COPIES of the set (according to TCM’s customer support line) were sent to customers whose orders have been reported as cancelled, and whose accounts *had* been recredited. So hundreds of people who purchased the set and paid for them never received their orders, while many other peoples were reimbursed for the purchase *and* received their sets.
TCM and Delivery Agent’s customer support lines have been less than useless. Promised communications have not been received, while the same form letter has been sent out to everyone being affected by this issue. E-​mail responses are promised within 24 hours, but my communications are consistently ignored.
Delivery Agent/TCM’s laughable attempt to rectify this situation was a coupon for 30% off a future order, a clear textbook example of Bait and Switch, which is the illegal business practice of luring customers to your store or website by offering a low-​cost item, which you then refuse to honor, and instead encourage customers to spend more money on higher-​priced items.
The class-​action lawsuit brought against
in the year 2000 for similar crimes concretely proved that «pricing errors» are not a legally defensible position. It is the merchant’s responsibility to make sure that merchandise is accurately represented in their stores.
By posting a price, and leaving that price in effect for several days on their web site, then accepting payment and sending order confirmations, Delivery Agent and TCM entered into a legally binding sales contract with their customers. Cases are being filed with the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and the offices of numerous state Attorneys General.
