I really love then style and staff… 2 stars! BUT watch out on their sales! They use tricky advertising to get you in the door. It was buy 2 get 50% off entire purchase — today — 1 day only!!! But what’s not mentioned is that instead of 50% off the discount price they give you 50% off the regular price… It’s not mentioned on the sign though– the sign says nothing about any stipulations — so doesn’t that mean you have to honor that pricing? I buy dresses from them all the time and sales are always like this. This was the last most obvious time I’ll let this company take advantage of me through deceptive marketing. I won’t shop here again. I suggest if you shop here ask the details and don’t get surprised at the register.

My new favorite shop in the city! Love, love, love their whimsical jeans and outerwear and tops and purses — yea, just about everything! They’re located at the corner of Powell and Pacific, near Blondies Pizza and the cable car turnaround(a short walk from Union Square). Their jeans are hand stitched and they will reimburse the cost of any necessary alterations(ask for details). Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards program, too!

My wife discovered Desigual when she was recently in Spain. In the Desigual store in Madrid, she bought a very colorful purse from which she absolutely loves. We were in downtown San Francisco the other day and we found the store, so we had to go in. My wife loves bright colors and this is the store for that. Unfortunately, they have very few clothes in sizes for larger people, so she can only get accessories there. She found very colorful purses at prices similar to those she saw in Madrid(60+ Euros there, about $ 84, and in the SF store they were about $ 80). The store has two levels: one on the ground floor, and a basement. For people with mobility issues there is an elevator in the rear of the store. The store staff was very helpful. My wife was looking for a very bold colorful scarf and didn’t see one just right for her in the large selection. A very helpful sales person«read her mind» for the perfect scarf and then found it and she was right; my wife loved it and purchased it. A bit on the pricy side at $ 49, but it is very bold and colorful, which is just perfect for my wife.

My girlfriend introduced me to this brand. She loves Desigual’s clothes and I really like many of their outfits for guys. It is pricey, but they recently reduced the prices a bit because H&M and Uniclo are cheaper. At this store they have a frustrating lack of small sizes(especially S and XS for women). We also found out that their rewards card does not give you the typical discount in that store right now because most things are discounted 10% or more already. It seems these guys need every single dollar they can squeeze. Today we were at the store. It was 8:40 and as were were browsing their sales rack the security guard yelled at us «you only have 10 minutes, after that we are CLOSED). We tried to be quick but ended up trying a few things and buying some of them. When we came up from the lower floor at about 9:05 the security guard kept yelling at us because we were still there after closing time. He also pushed out a few other customers. The rest of the staff apologized for the security guard’s behavior but didn’t tell him anything, at least not while were were there.

This is a fashion brand from Spain that opened up in Union Square in 2012. To celebrate the opening, they held a Undie Party where the 1st100 customers in their skivvies got to take home a free outfit. Well, they redesigned the store, and did it again today, and I went! I love their marketing and their events. They often host instore parties with drinks and small bites, and a DJ. They’re a very fun, youthful, colorful brand. The clothes are quite expensive(the tshirts can cost $ 100). One of the event organizers said it was possible to get a free outfit worth more than $ 1000. You were allowed to pick one top(shirt, blazer, or coat) and one bottom(jeans, skirt or dress). I picked up a free dress and coat. How fun! Now, since the clothes are very loud as in they’re extremely colorful with bold patterns and prints, and also very expensive, this isn’t the type of place I regularly shop. However, they do have great promotional deals like today, even if you weren’t in the first 100, they were still handing out postcards that gave you 50%, so I think that’s pretty cool. Almost all of the staff are super friendly, and they got down to their underwear today too. A few people seemed pretty exhausted and not very friendly, but let’s just chalk that up to be tired. Basically, this store isn’t for everyone due to their bold designs and pricey clothes, but those that love it… really love it. Tourists from foreign countries especially love this store. Almost all the people in the line today were visitors.

I absolutely love the unique style bold colors an patters and the overall unique look. It is definitely statement fashion. Yo ca spot a desigual piece immediately when you see it on a street. Despite my addiction to the desigual styles, I absolutely dislike a few hind. It seems that the brand has not yet figured out how to opera in the US and perhaps this is why they are not nearly as successful as they can be. The prices are extremely high. A t-shirt could cost almost $ 100 or even more. But even this is not heard of. The problem is hat the fabrics and quality are that of a bargain brand. Cheap fabrics that shrink or stretch in the laundry an fort about putting any of the garments the dryer. Another sore point is customer service. The people hat work there are great an friendly but their corporate offices have draconian and vey unfriendly policies. They are looking to get you. It seems to be almost norm in Europe but absolutely unacceptable in the US. Since I am addicted to the styles, I still buy the clothes despite all the quirk but the only I can fee good about my purchases is when there are double sales, which by th way seem to be v dry inconsistent with the online store that offers much better value for the exact same items.
