This place is quickly becoming my favorite workspace. Fast WiFi, quiet, and clean. The food is a bit pricey, but the wine is only $ 6 a glass. Best of all they open early(7am).

They only had cheap Bigalow tea so I didn’t stay to order. Nice atmosphere, wish they had what I wanted.

Wow. I came into the Dog Patch Café because I needed a break, a coffee and a place to escape the rain but … I should have kept on walking. The only thing good about the experience was that it had a place to sit(and was less crowded than other places in the ‘hood — I should have known). The coffee/cappuccino was awful(I don’t think it was from powder but tasted like it), the egg toasted sandwich cheap and reheated. Worst of all was the surly guy behind the counter which made me feel unwelcome. Keep walking … Great coffee(and kind people) up at La Stazione by the Cal Train station!

The Dogpatch Café is a very nice place to stop by for a quick bite and a cup of coffee or a beer! The staff here is really friendly and the food is delicious. The environment is casual, you order from a counter and the menu primarily features pastries and sandwiches. Amazing sandwiches. I highly recommend«The Works»(add turkey), and the turkey wrap, which features a delicious cranberry-mayo sauce that is incredible. The bacon here is really tasty, so anything with bacon on it is a good way to go. Travas and Garland are really nice guys that work behind the counter, always ready to strike up a conversation! The décor is really amazing, there are some cool pieces of art. Make sure to check out the LED light spider that is mounted on the wall, it is really awesome!

Should be called the dodge patch café because this is a place you want to avoid. Bagel breakfast sandwich great. White guy brown hair terrible attitude, will put a bad taste in your mouth. This guy wouldn’t even hand me my sandwich, he walked all the way to the register and left it there just to spite me. Great food but work on ur customer service. People don’t want to be treated like shit or made to feel like they are an inconvenience. Not coming back, don’t care. There are so many places I can get a bagel, and so many places where the staff can at least fake that they care. Boo you dog patch café. Have fun losing all your business, this isn’t Starbucks, people will NOT come back here because there are so many options. Bye bye

This café is exactly what I need. Comfortable seating, beer, good music, wifi, power outlets, great staff. I’ve never seen it super crowded and it’s perfect for writing.

Thank Dog for the Dogpatch Café. New to the neighborhood, I’m here A LOT for all of my consumption needs. Morning latte, a quick sando for lunch(dat bacon tho!), and a post-commute beer to end my day. I like the welcoming and laid back vibe, and as a person who tries her darnedest to shop locally, I appreciate the inexpensive menu. It is worth noting that I am INNOWAYWHATSOEVER a morning person, and DPC staff are usually the first people I dare speak with in the AM. Always pleasant, always making my day brighter. Another thing I love about this spot is their community involvement. Various local groups use the space for meetings, art exhibits, and events. Plus you can find items on the menu from other neighborhood shops. Way to keep it in the neighborhood, DPC. Overall great vibe, yummy treats, champagne, and a sense of community. Easy 5 stars.

Just your average coffee shop, nothing fancy, nothing great, just good stuff. Today, for some reason, the lady there was not in a good mood, and could not smile to save her life. People have bad days, I get it. But in service jobs, you do expect a smile. Wi-fi was great, not a lot of space to sit, and in the summer months(Sep/Oct) it gets hot in there. Not a bad place to pass time or work while waiting for your next meeting or the traffic to die down. But not impressed.

I really, really really wanted to like this place, but the couple times I’ve come in, I was given some major attitude by the baristas. All you have to do is smile and fake it. If you hate your job, then quit. It’s not fair to put your attitude on your customers.

The woman with blue hair was very polite and made a delicious Chai latte. However, the bearded man making all the breakfast sandwiches was constantly touching his mouth, face and countertops with the gloves he had on while making the food. He didn’t remember to make my sandwich so I had to remind him.

If you are looking for a phenom a chai latte look no further. When I’m having a rough start to the morning, I pop over to Dogpatch and splurge on a large chai. It perks me up for the rest of the day. I’ve heard great things about their food but haven’t tried for myself yet.

My room mate and I were waiting for the next Muni train to come so we decided to try this café since we were starving. It took us a while to read the menu, especially my room mate, since she didn’t have her glasses. I think the cashier got aggravated that it was taking us so long to order(I’m only saying this based off her body language… I’ll never know.) But instead of helping us out with the menu that was unfamiliar to us, she was too busy playing games on her iPad. Instead, it was up to me to explain this menu I had never seen before to my friend. So my room mate finally decided on what she wanted and gave the cashier her order. The cashier typed up her order on the iPad and rudely passed the iPad to my friend. We didn’t know why she passed it to us, only for her to grudgingly say that she required her signature to compete the transaction.(It would have been easier to explain before you passed the iPad why you were giving it to us, but hey, that’s just me…) Then, it was my turn to order. I didn’t want much so I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. The cashier pointed over at the pastry stand and annoyingly said, «We’re all out of bagels.»(Given it was past 12 p.m., what café runs out of freaking bagels? Or all types of pastries for that matter???) So I decided to go with their Polar Bear Sandwich. Call me weird, but I hate condiments of any kind, so I ordered my sandwich without mayonnaise. The cashier gives me this weird look and says, «You do know that that’s going to be a dry sandwich, right?» ISITANYOFYOURBUSINESS??? As we Nigerians say, «Wettin consign you??» If I want a dry a** sandwich, that’s for me and my mouth to deal with, not you. I told her it was okay, since I didn’t like condiments. She sighed and typed in my order. Once again, she rudely passed over the iPad for me to put my signature. In short, the café does have a nice atmosphere, which is why I gave it 3 stars. If you live in the area and need a nice, quiet place to study or just a place to get away from the noise, this is it. They also have nice pieces of art from Africa on the wall, which was a plus for me ;) The café was clean, not too busy and just felt very comforting. For the food, I wish I could say was nice, but it wasn’t anything spectacular, especially at a whopping $ 8.50 per sandwich, but then again, it is the Bay… The café’s 1 saving grace is that I had accidentally left my purse in the store and another associate came out to warn me that I left it inside. Sadly, the Muni train was coming just as I was walking back into the restaurant. We ended up missing the train, but at least I didn’t lose my purse. It’s nice to know that 1 of the staff members is a decent human being…

This morning I had a small latte and an everything bagel. Latte was fine and the bagel was warm and fresh with a generous amount of cream cheese. However, I did notice the staff chatting while my bagel was done toasting off to the side. I have been here twice now and this is a no frills café with a casual ambiance. if you are looking to get a small bite or drink, but nothing special, this place is fine.

SHORTREVIEW: Very unfriendly staff, greasy, mostly bread breakfast sandwich. LONGREVIEW: Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered, not the way I want to start my day. Unfortunately this is the only affordable café nearby, but it’s almost not worth it. Every single time I have gone in there I have tried really hard to be as polite and smiley as possible in hopes of getting a friendly response but it’s always the same thing, straight face«what can I get you.» I say a warm thank you, they don’t even respond and just move on to the next customer(and it’s not like there’s a line out the door, there’s usually me and one or two other people in line.) The breakfast sandwich… I ordered the bacon egg and cheese. The bacon was great, the bread was great(a fairly large roll that is pretty much all there is to the sandwich), but the two together was not great. I couldn’t even tell if there was egg in there(now looking at previous complaints its very possible they just didn’t put any on), and the cheese and bacon were so greasy that the bread soaked it up and it literally dripped down my chin when I took a bite. Not my cup of tea(if you like bacon grease all over your face in the am then you might enjoy this). Sadly, until I learn to wake up earlier and make my own breakfast I will be coming here… TRYDRINKINGSOMEOFYOURCOFFEE, STAFF. ITMIGHTWAKEYOUUPANDGIVEYOUTHESLIGHTESTSMILEFORYOURCUSTOMERS. Honestly I just pop in here for coffee before work. I think the dudes there are nice. I also think the music is a little intense for the daytime(like, heavy piano. Like dude, chill), but ??? Whatever? I have some recommendations if they want to listen to depressing stuff.(Hey if you work there, feel free to ask me the next time you see me.) ANYWAY. Coffee. The coffee is a decent price(I think?) and idk I’m digging the .50 cent refills. Like that’s fantastic, because then I can pop in again later for more freaking coffee. If they had bigger cups, I would get the bigger cup. There’s a lot of seating, but I don’t really have time to hang out. But idk I would not mind doing so. It has like a parlor vibe I guess. Y’know, like a parlor room. O k. Great!

Just your generic neighborhood café. It’s a nice place to stop by before work to grab a quick coffee and a snack. There is a lot of open space for people to sit, and a lot of places to connect your energy source. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. They have sandwiches for vegans and carnivores alike. It’s not a must go to café, but it’s a cool place to stop by.

I’m seriously still thinking about the breakfast sandwich from Dogpatch Café. Coming from NYC, I was expecting some sort of roll/microwaved egg grease pile. I was wrong. The tomato, egg, and gruyère sandwich was served on a toasty baguette. The eggs were not a gross microwaved texture, the cheese was not a bright orange plastic, and the bread was perfect. There’s also a bacon option, but that’s wasted on this vegetarian. My chai latte was sweet and nice(tasted like the Starbucks Oprah chai) and there was plenty of seating at 10:30 on a Saturday.

Free Wifi and baristas without pretension? Yes, please! Found myself in the Dogpatch with a few hours to kill… Where did I end up? Dogpatch Café! Felt a week bit sheepish coming right in and taking advantage of the complimentary«internets» without buying something, so I got a water. And paid with my credit card — sorry! No worries from the guy behind the counter. He was very, very nice. Thank you! Sat at the high top chairs by the window and got some great people watching in while I typed away on the keyboard. Other customers came and went, everyone was respectful of space and no loud conference calls going on, like I often see happening on Caltrain. Very nice setup, clean and welcoming. If I lived closer, would definitely be working from Dogpatch Café more often.
