The thing about law students is… nobody really likes studying in their own law school’s library. Hence, I hide out here. There’s awesome, albeit scare, parking right outside the library that’s not zoned. You also get a great view of SF while studying/not studying. The security sometimes reminds me of the airport with the locked door, door buzzing, and entrance barrier, but I guess there can only be one UC Tenderloin.

Why am I reviewing this place? Maybe because I’m spending my next two months here. Either way, it’s a really nice library, the nicest law one I’ve been to actually. Decent chairs, clean areas, and nice workers at the front desk(especially the ones who let me in for the first week when I didn’t have my law student ID). The only crappy part is that it’s difficult to get in if you’re not a law student/lawyer, although I’ve obviously managed to get in sans ID.

I am in this library RIGHTNOW. I know what you’re thinking… «Jack. you wrote this review 3 months ago, so NO, NO you’re not in the library right now.» Sorry Charlie, but I am. I’ve pretty much lived here the last 1.5 yrs and will probably continue to to do so for another 1.5 years. What you should know about this place: 1) STFU. Yes, that means you 1L’s and you undergrads pretending like you’re in college. 2) It is cold. It is very cold. My fingers are burning from teetering on the edge of frostbite for the last hour or two. 3) The tables are HUGE, so feel free to bring as many books as you can carry. 4) The Fulton side is the sunny side — and there are comfy red lounge chairs that are wonderful for napping in. 5) As soon as school ends for the summer, the library is PACKED. Kids studying for the bar exam take up every table and you can see the stress flowing from every pore — I’d avoid it. 6) If you want a fancy, high backed, leather executive chair, head down to the basement where they’re in no short supply. 7) If you get a study room — BEMORETHANONEPERSON.
