Eden Villa Assisted Living and Memory Care

I could not have been more pleased with the loving care my mother-​in-​law, who was in her late 90s, received for over 4 years at Eden Villa. Michael the owner and Laura the Director, to the caregivers and staff all of whom went out of their way to offer professional and loving care. I know my mother-​in-​law looked forward to the weekly bingo and blackjack games, the exercise routines, even the meals, which were always nutritious and often delicious. There is an on-​site hairdresser, a beautiful garden, and on holidays special meals and celebrations. The 4^th of July is celebrated with an outdoor barbecue with professional entertainment. The constant is the loving care from the dedicated caregivers. In a word, I could not recommend Eden Villa more highly and know my mother-​in-​law is joining me from on high in praising her beloved Eden Villa.

Amen to the review about Laura Gibson being FAKE. She admitted my great aunt last Thursday afternoon at 2pm. We were super excited because we live in the Richmond District and this was very convenient. BUT just a couple hours later, at 4PM the same day, Laura told my mother that we needed to find «another community» for her b/​c Eden Villa wasn’t equipped to take care of her. The very first thing we covered was that my great aunt spoke very little English. Laura said it was all fine and dandy and Eden Villa had the resources to help — apparently she just wanted the sale upfront. We were forced to scramble around the city finding a new home for her to check into that night. Thank God we found one, but what kind of human being does this to a family?! Eden Villa pretty much said bye and good luck to my 88 year old aunt with a recovering broken femur.
My family feels so duped and this whole ordeal has caused a great hardship on us.

Although we had a few issues with staff compliance with changing doctors’ orders with end of life care, the staff were very friendly and the facility is clean and fresh smelling.
Most staff appear to be Asian or Filipino, with definite issues with the English language, so a few problems are language acquisition related.
Eden Villa is the most respectful of demential patients of the agencies we have had to deal with in the last year. The hospice/​alzheimers unit was great to work with.

Having to find placement for a loved one was a «Daunting» task. She could longer care for herself in her home. What was such a difficult time was made a bit easier with the help of Eden Villa. We looked at many options elsewhere and were mortified by what we saw! There entire staff have been exceptional! Kind, caring, and professional! Having to run our own company for over 30 years, we can clearly see their excellence… They go above and beyond. Food, fantastic! They were kind enough to arrange a surprise birthday party for our loved one. They served 8 of us what was on the menu, excellent… Amazing activities schedule. Beautiful garden! We show up at anytime and it’s always great, no hidden anything as we had found with other places.

Eden Villa was great when I needed to get my mom in assisted ASAP. They were professional and very nice. Process was smooth. Facility is clean and the staff is real friendly. I recommend this facility.

For more than 5 years, I have been visiting a family member here and find that overall the staff provides excellent care and is willing to make additional accommodations as needed. The facility is well maintained, clean, large common areas, beautiful large window overlooking the gardens, restaurant-​like dining areas, and spacious rooms. The food is good and nutritious. The staff provides excellent coverage over the residents. There are regular activities to keep the residents entertained. This is definitely a place I would like to placed if I needed assisted living services.
