I came in last time to celebrate my friends moms birthday and the staff were super friendly and I even had something to drink with the alcohol also mixed with some type of soda. Afterwards, me and my friend had the chicken quesadillas and it was good. Anyway, I had fun just chatting with my friend with the boys talking to us. We went dancing even though I refused to dance but my friends mother wouldn’t take«NO» for an answer and she kinda pressured me by dragging my arm to dance with that man. So I danced with that guy who was asking for me to dance. I didn’t enjoy it much. After the song was over I immediately went back to my table sitting next to my friend that was that and we also had some cake(vanilla) and the(chocolate) cake. They played really good music in the night club. Security was friendly. I will probably be back but I am NOT gonna go with my friends crazy mother again. I will just be going with my other friend the next time around.

Came here last night with the hubby and had a great time. It was dead but still had a great time, we were told by numerous people there that it gets packed in weekends. The reason it was dead was because people were at the San Jose covention center. Defenietly a place to come next time.

This place has a lot of character in a good way! Good drinks, good ambiance, welcoming atmosphere no matter what night it is. The owners really care about making this place great for everyone. Have I mentioned their tacos? If nothing else, you absolutely have to try their tacos. Additionally they have a great spacious dance floor and many tables. Really comfortable and pleasant.

I used to go dancing at El Toro back in the day, but I just recently started going there again. The bartenders are awesome. They are very personable and fun to hang out with. I’m more of a beer person, but they do have a full bar and they know their drinks, and they are always coming up with new ones. Good times, Good times. I like El Toro because sometimes you just want to go to a place«Where Everybody Knows Your Name».(Cheers theme song). I love this place. My favorite days are Mondays because after the Spanish house band performs, they bring in Live Mexican well-known bands to perform. The place gets packed with dancers when there is a good band playing. The house band is very energetic, they play songs like Banda, Cumbia and Romantic songs. They have Karaōke on Wednesdays. Their Karaōke DJ is cool, you can tell he likes what he does. The singers usually sing Spanish karaōke, but the DJ will play English songs if you request them. Note: Although, I have seen some non-Spanish speakers sing Spanish songs really well. I’ve always had a great time. They don’t charge for singing songs like other places. In fact, you get free food on Wednesdays, things like tostadas, flautas, fish tacos, etc. It’s always a great ambiance on Wednesdays, and it’s fun whether you decide to sing or not. They have Karaōke on Thursdays too, but I haven’t been there, so I can’t speak on it. The house band is usually playing on Fridays, but the DJ does play some English music and even brings out the music video screens. Nice! Saturdays are lots of fun too. You can easily dance the night always with the live house band that performs and the cover is less than it is on Mondays. On Sundays, they have a dj that plays«Sonidero» music. They have a small kitchen in the back. I like the carne asada tacos and quesadillas. Oh yeah, and they have two big screens that are usually playing whatever sports is on. They also have a juke box that plays English and Spanish music. I always have a great time when I come to El Toro.

ONe of the most mexican places you can visit on most nights. Since 1986 has hosted various bands from latin america. A humble team, with a passion for fiesta every night. You could go out to a close by club and listen to DJ music, but live music is the heart of this place. Diana Reyes, Carlos Santana, Banda Recodo, Larry Hernandez, Leo Dan, Horoscopos, Inquietos, Pancho Barraza, Liran Roll, and many more. Most are spanish speakers so bust out your high school spanish class lingo. The drinks arent cheap but the bands need to get paid. and for the most part they ROCK! Fridays are tropical so if you like Salsa, bachata, merengue, this is the spot. Dont forget to try the tacos. the dude in the kitchen use to be a butcher so he knows his carne Azada! Full sliced steak taco on two corn tortillas… is.heaven. if you like free food, wednesdays a different dish is prepared. From carnita tacos to chicken floutas. free is good. Pair this food with discounted drinks and Karaōke on wednesdays. cant go wrong. Wednesdays… local feel. no dance club or live music though.

I would definitely be going to El Toro more often(Making it to be one of my new hangouts)

Ok so I have lived in this area for about 6 years and I decided to roll into this bar. Keep in mind i am a bartender so I am on the other side of the fence when I write reviews. I have never been in here before and it is only like 5 blocks from my house and I was not ready to go home yet. The giants vs dodgers game was on the big screen and I thought what the hell I will have a few drinks. Besides myself there where only a few people in here and 3 staff people. One of the customers had to help me talk to the bartender and tell him what I wanted but over all people here seemed nice. Yes the first bartender had a hard time understanding me since this is after all a Mexican bar with Mexican speaking bartenders. The second bartender that came on however did speak English was also very nice. After reading the other reviews I have to remind people this is a night club so after a certain hour drink prices are higher. My MGD was only 3.50 during happy hour but after happy hour was over the prices went up. The staff in general was very nice to me and I am sure I will go back. They had some band playing tonight but once the game was over I went home. The music I did hear was fun. The Tacos are GREAT

The Julio’s dance with precision. It’s like drum and bass but for people with red eyez. They go here right after no one picked them up at U-haul. Hey, there’s a ATM outside, so it’s easy to get cash for a cab.

So i was invited by my friend from 93.3 La Raza last Monday night to come here. A popular band was playing that I am familiar with, and yes I do listen to Spanish music. The group sings about«puro desmadre»(basically partying like a motherfucker). So I knew all my fellow drinking Mexicans would be out in fool force. Remember that when i do attend these functions I stick out like a sore thumb, not to mention me and my girl are the only lesbians in the whole damn place. I am going to list a few things that should make you wanna stay away. Let me tell you I am never coming back!!! Bucket of 6 beers: $ 33 wow Mixed drink: A well drink is $ 10 and mainly all juice. Waitress: Pushy and I mean more pushy than strippers on a slow night. These waitresses are waiting to hustle your ass, especially if your not fluent in the language of Spanish. Oh ya and they are not even cute, shit at least look hot if your gonna be pushy Establishment: Small, Dark, bathroom smells like pee with pine-sol. The KEYPOINT: So spent a lot of money there and when I ran out of cash I used my card. Lucky for me I wasn’t shitfaced YET. I kept my receipt like I always do, and I tipped the waitress in cash. There are a few phrases you will need to know before you come here. Me gustaria un trago de tequila y una cerveza (I would like a shot of tequila and a beer) No, gracias. No se como bailar as (No thank you, I do not know how to dance like that) Se que soy un gringo, pero realmente me gusta su club nocturno (I know I am a gringo, but I really like your nightclub) And for Darin I; Donde estan los banos? Tengo que vomitar (where are the bathrooms? I need to throw up) The waitstaff here do not speak English, or maybe they just won’t…either way you should be fine if you stick with the above phrases and don’t mind the stares from all of the patrons that silently echo«What the fuck are you doing in here?». This is a Latino night club which features various live Latin music acts. When you walk in there is a bar, complete with disco ball(even at 10 in the morning that sucker is showering you with sparkly goodness) but beyond the bar there is an area with fold away tables where they will serve you up some food while you listen to some live music and get your groove on. There is also a digital jukebox but I would highly recommend Usted solo la musica latina a fin de desempenar su asno gringos no obtener expulsados(you only play Latin music so your Gringo ass doesn’t get kicked out).
