They have $ 2, $ 3& $ 3.50 washers. The small ones hold quite a bit, do the job & only take 30 minutes, but they have larger ones too. Dryers will dry a load for $ 1– 32 min. The manager instructed me to press ‘normal’ on the dryer to get the hottest setting. Quite a few washers & dryers, so never a wait &4 long counters for folding. They sell boxes of soap for 75¢ if you need it & they have 2 change machines that takes $ 1, $ 5, $ 10& $ 20 bills. They have a booth near the front & have cameras watching the area, to keep an eye on things. That & it’s on the same block as the police station. There are chairs to sit & pass the time and the owners/managers are friendly. The bathroom was fixed & working on this day. If the place were a little bit cleaner, it would get a 5.

First coin is my 1st pick. Extra capacity 50lb washers great for thriving massage practice or B&b. Owners are super friendly and plenty of nearby corner stores or restaurants for a snack while waiting. Hint: The soap and bleach are cheaper at the store next door. Plenty of chairs inside or pass the time out front where the tender tender is never dull.

Yes, this place is cheaper than most laundry mats and has many different sized washer and dryers, but if you put $ 3 in the dryer, and it doesn’t work because of one of their messed-up seals, good luck on getting your $ 3 back. The guy said it was my fault because I didn’t check the seal and proceeded to put 3 quarters in and told me I prob needed 4 more quarters and walked away. The nerve! It’s your messed up dryer and I’m already pissed off that I have to come back downstairs for the 4th time since it didn’t work the first time, and now you’re telling me I have to put my own money back into your messed up machine? To his credit, he fixed it before he told me to put more of my money into his machine, but told me to always make sure it’s working before I leave. That’s fine, I probably should have checked but since it was an error with your machine, can’t you just make it right by putting a couple extra quarters in instead of pissing of your customer? I used to do their wash and fold too and recently stopped because of the strange way they fold your clothes. They fold them inside out, mis-matched socks, they fold it so random and odd, that in order to see which shirt it is, you have to unfold it so you know where to put it, and then refold it! What’s the point of wash and fold if you have to re-fold it again?! Grrrrrr very upset with this cr**hole right now. Bad management. The younger guy is cool, if this happened while he was there, he would have just put in those few extra quarters and been done. It would have been inconvenient to come back down again, but at least he isn’t making me pay twice!

This laundromat is a little dirty, and the clientele much like the rest of the tenderloin. But the washers are quick and the price is bit cheaper than the machines in my building. Bring a book or a mobile phone and relax on the crappy plastic chairs. Honestly there’s nothing materially wrong with this place, but is not awesome either.

This place is exactly what I needed — near downtown, lots of machines in good order, and reasonably priced supplies. It could be slightly cleaner but it was not so dirty that I had any problem waiting there nor using the machines with relatively expensive clothes.

Sitting in First Coin as I write. A very adequate laundromat, though the bathroom is out of order. Mixed crowd. Sure beats paying for the hotel to do my laundry.

Clean, affordable laundromat in the Tenderloin — who knew? I had trouble getting the dryers to go to the hottest level, as it seemed this feature was disabled. Otherwise had a great experience, and will be doing my laundry here in the future.

I love this laundromat because it has a lot of tables where you can fold your clothes, and there’s PLENTY of MACHINES. +1 star for 2 very very big drying machine. I’ve been a victim of getting my clothes stolen over here by crackheads. KEEPANEYEONYOURCLOTHESWHENITSDRYING! The staffs are very helpful too!
