What a GREAT place to do YOGA! Since International Orange closed a few months ago, a lot of people are now migrating to FLOWSTUDIOS, which is adjacent to Pacific Heights Health Club. You can go to yoga everyday here, instructors are well informed and experienced. I guess the small studio vibe really adds to the experience. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the group exercise schedule is varied with all sorts of classes. Great place to meet new people and build community. Highly recommend it!

I’ve been to a number of physical therapists over the years, but none has offered this level of personal attention. You spend an entire hour with Stacee, and she is focused just on your situation, offering gentle but very effective help to get you better. I started seeing results after the first couple of visits. The exercises she gave me to work on at home have significantly sped up my recovery from hip replacement surgery. I was quickly able to start walking normally, and after only 6 weeks was up to walking for 2 — 3 miles. On top of it all, she is a really pleasant person to be around, and her whole team is the same.

Love the natural, individual approach! I began going to Flow in mid-February to see Jennifer Cooper, PT(see my review of her: ), for a running injury. While being treated, I began having back and chest muscle pain and inquired about a massage therapist. Jenny recommended Neal Pressman, with whom I have had two sessions. He was outstanding — he listened to what was bothering me, treated the root cause not just the symptoms, and took time to do additional research between our two sessions in order to figure out how best to help me. Both Jenny and Neal took a genuine interest in me as a person and what I needed from them. They provided natural, long-lasting, healing treatments that aligned with my goals for recovery and future activity. Neither tried to «sell» me on what they could do; rather, they shared their thoughts and capabilities and let me decide how to proceed. I would return to either in a heartbeat. Everyone I have met at Flow is friendly. The setting is intimate, and any«tools» I needed for my treatment were readily available. Highly recommend Flow!

it’s time to get myself back into shape! it’s been years since i’ve been to bikram so i decided to slowly get back into yoga by trying a pilates mat class at flow studios this morning. the instructor jenny was awesome and the poses kicked my butt in a good way. i forgot how much i miss downward dogs and planks and yes even the bicycle crunches. for new students, they offer a $ 25 for 3 classes within your first 30 days. i’ll be back for more!

Flow Studios pilates is great. Kristin is an amazing pilates instructor who has extensive experience in physical therapy techniques. She is intuitive and truly understands what’s going on in your body and constantly comes up with new exercises to address the problems. I’ve gone to multiple people to help me with pain I have due to scoliosis and Kristin is the only one who has thoroughly understood my muscle issues. She’s also very quirky and fun to work with. Highly recommended!

I am becoming addicted to my weekly appointments with Devon Reid. She has an amazing amount of power in her small fingers, but wow is really making a huge difference in my jaw pain(I grind my teeth at night). Totally recommend her!

Our daughter’s neurosurgeon referred us to Jen Cooper for physical therapy while she recovered from a horrific car accident that left her with three fractured cervical vertebrae. He said Jen was simply the best, and we concur. She approached Simone with utmost sensitivity and expertise as she gained her trust and gradually rehabilitated her body. Jen guided Simone from a fearful reluctance to even move her head to posture realignment, education and strength training — and with warmth and a sense of partnership — Jen skillfully brought Simone to belief in the resilience of her own body to heal so she could resume her life with confidence. She is not only back to her university studies, but is also studying to be a certified massage therapist. The fact that Simone survived this accident was a miracle, and the fact that we found Jen was a blessing.

I love Flow Studios, but I’m not telling which class is my favorite because the class is always delightfully small, and I don’t want to give away my new little secret!

Leslie’s Hardcore pilates class is fantastic! The women who run the counter in Flow could brush up on their customer service skills.

Extend yourself a kindness that will ripple gladness through your week and schedule a massage with therapist, Kimmy Vuu. She has an excellent sense of how to truly meet the needs of the person in front of her and a keen knowledge of how to coax tension out of the body. My session with Kimmy was at a crucial juncture at the end of a stressful week going into a intense weekend of studying for final exams. When I went it to see Kimmy my body was congested and in pain. Kimmy’s skillful touch unwound both my body and mind, enabling the physical and mental clarity I needed to get through the weekend in peace and productivity. With glee and gusto, I highly recommend taking advantage of Flow’s massage special with Kimmy Vuu to usher some sweet rejuvenation into your days!

I have been working with Jennifer Cooper on several different conditions. She has helped my rehab after surgery. I can’t imagine a more compassionate and eager professional who has the patience and determination to figure out the best plan for each individual. She goes out of her way to truly understand your specific needs to tailor her treatment accordingly. Her knowledge and experience are as deep as her commitment.

Not only does Flow Studios offer great classes — yoga, pilates and more — they have also just added acupuncture to the long list of available healing modalities. The acupuncturist, Debbie, is extremely knowledgeable and makes the sometimes strange treatment of acupuncture very comfortable and relaxing. She takes great care to know exactly what is going on in your body and life, both by asking you, but also with wonderful tools from Chinese medicine. It seems she has a way to address every issue you are dealing with. I am getting regular treatments from Debbie for a lifelong structural issue in my neck and chronic headaches. I have found immediate relief from my pain, but also feel less stressed and overall healthier. Each visit, I leave feeling much better than when I walked in! I would highly recommend Debbie if you looking for an acupuncturist. She has the perfect combination of wisdom and compassion to guide you to a better you!

Rebecca Zito’s 9am yoga class is easily one of the best classes I’ve had. She guides the class though a peaceful yet energizing flow routine that leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the weekend. One of the best things about this class is that Rebecca is great with form correction, which is so important to staying injury-free. If you can’t maintain a pose, she modifies it for you. If you are feeling stiff or sluggish, she doesn’t push you farther than you can handle. She relates well to everyone: advanced students, beginners and lapsed yogi-wannabes such as myself. And she’s very encouraging throughout the class. Have you heard of the concept of Hip Tranquil Chick? That’s Rebecca, for sure. Her classes combine traditional flow with some essential core work and meditation sprinkled throughout, all set to an eclectic soundtrack. Plus the studio itself is a spacious, breezy, sun-drenched oasis located on a rooftop in Pac Heights. A beautiful spot to continue your quest for inner peace. Drop-in rates are only $ 15 per class. Check it out, you won’t be sorry!

I received physical therapy from Devin Pfister for five weeks. I was suffering horrible pain related to a lower back injury and was finding it very difficult to perform basic day to day functions as a result. Even after the first session with Devin I felt positive results. Because of her hands on approach and great instruction I was able to manage my pain and develop core strength. Devin was extremely helpful in describing exactly the physical effects my injury had caused and how the exercises she was prescribing me to practice would create the desired therapeutic effect. I can honestly say that Devin is a god send and actually resolved my back pain. I would suggest anyone in need of physical therapy to consult with Devin. She inspired me to continue learning the art of Pilate’s exercises and to continue strengthening exercises. A wonderful experience and a very friendly staff!
