3.5 stars Grilled Cheese — Excellent French Fries– Perfection Thai Basil Chicken Pizza — Yummy Ranch– I could drink it. Chips and Guac– Nope. Tostitos… actually Mission Tortilla chips. Stale. Guacamole from a pouch. Never again. Dessert– What dessert? They don’t offer any dessert options here. So sad. No worries tho! Plenty of liquor stores around to pick up a Choco Taco. Service– Friendly Staff

Grabbed a late dinner and ordered one of their grilled cheese sandwiches was pretty good. There fries were pretty tasty as well, not sure if they handcut them or not? Only thing is the prices are a little on the high side for what you get but then again you are in San Francisco so what would you expect?.. lol. Not a bad place for a quick bite to eat.

I love this place. It’s a really nice neighborhood bar with excellent pizza, good service, and good beer list. It can get packed on Friday and Saturday evenings but it’s a great place to grab a bite and a drink during the week.

This place has a pretty decent happy hour menu. Three of us split a little pizza for $ 6.95 and had a couple drinks. The ambiance was relaxed and the wait staff was nice. The waitress was kind enough to keep replenishing the pita for our amazing hummus plate. The olive spread was amazing as well. Definitely will keep this in mind the next time I’m hanging out in Nopa. Thank you!

Food was delicious atmosphere was ok. American food — salads, pizza(very tasty), grilled cheese, etc. seat yourself bar with not too many tables or space for parties bigger than 3. Wait staff was not terrible but seemed a bit stressed with the amount of people in the bar. Also the one toilet was broken and the staff was yelling at each other about who was going to fix it.(P.s. It was not fixed by the time we left)

Definitely nothing fancy. Happy they have some decent salad options. The nicks salad is a Cobb salad, plentiful in size. The chicken in the nicks could use some love. Tough and unseasoned.

This dark, semi-jazz influenced bar was an interesting experience. The staff at first contact was fast paced and stand off-ish(though this could have been that it was Friday around 7:00). Upon first entry on a Friday evening, the restaurant and bar were hopping! Yet, the way the seating was constructed(a long wall side booth seat with round tables and chairs) was awkward. I ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza, a classic pizza. The pizza wasn’t bad, but was considerably comparable to a Digiorno’s oven pizza — my initial first thought upon tasting. In Closing — Not an entirely bad experience, as the cool space and music had a nice ambiance. There leaves room for desired improvement, even though some elements were on point. KB

The atmosphere is casual, but the seating is very crowded, especially on the weekends. I chose a glass of sangria, which was refreshing, but a bit too sweet(perhaps due to the liquor they chose?). The pizzas are yummy and are very generous helpings. At $ 9.50 a ‘za, you can’t go wrong. Some of the staff is friendly, while others are a bit standoffish. Positive experience overall.

Drinks are solidly cheap during happy hour(until 6pm). $ 4 sake bombs? Yeah, I can get behind that. Great tap list as well, with plenty of options for every type of drinker. Food is made particularly well, but man does it take a while. Order a plate of nachos, and even if the place is half full, you’ll be waiting for at least 30 – 45 minutes. It honestly shouldn’t take that long, even if you’re making everything to order. The chips themselves are soggy, and if you get the chicken skewers, be prepared for some dry chicken. I’ll come in for cheap drinks, but I won’t really stay for too long. If you’re at this place, you should grab a quick drink and then head across the street to 4505 for some real food. Super easy to grab seating though, especially in the afternoon.

I don’t spend nearly enough time in NoPa. However, when in the area, Fly Bar isn’t a bad choice. The food always surprises me. I don’t expect much and they keep things simple, yet tasty. Chips and guacamole? Solid! Sit at the bar and enjoy happy hour, one of the more affordable and reasonable timed ones in SF. Who’s going to leave work at 3 pm to get a dollar off a drink? Bartenders are nice, have a great sense of humor and aim to please. Perfect for an early evening drink or late night meet up. Classic SF.

I really like the vibe of this place! Been here multiple times for food and drinks. If you’re looking for a chill, dive-y bar for happy hour or for dinner, this is one of the best places to go! Their pizzas are good, their drinks are good and it’s an all-around good time! The location is kind of small so you might have to wait for a table if you come at peak times(weekend evenings). It’s seat yourself bar type seating but there’s also tables so not everyone has to sit at the bar. It’s always a great time here!

*NOTE: not hard alcohol! * Pros: — sake bombs for $ 4!(It goes down really easily b/c they use hard cider) — sangria is a pretty good deal(I think it’s $ 4 for a large glass) — billiards in the back — chill, relaxed atmosphere when it’s an *empty* night Cons: — no hard alcohol… their name is just misleading — waitlist for a table?! On busy nights, you have to find the one person who has clipboard to put your name on a list — rude service when they’re busy Bottom line: If it looks crowded, just stay away. It’s not worth standing in a crowded bar where you feel unwanted. If it looks pretty empty, I highly recommend getting a sangria and just relaxing.

Definitely a nice spot in the neighborhood. I came here with my girlfriend just as much to get out of the cold as to get dinner and it was definitely worth it. Got a great sandwich(called the foghorn leghorn, gotta love looney tunes references) and my girlfriend got margherita pizza, also awesome. Tab was cheap, food was reasonably priced, definitely recommend.

We went to a photo gallery a few blocks down and were looking to grab a quick, cheap bite nearby afterwards. Some of the places around this area are really pricey and small, and we kind of just went with Fly Bar because of the cheap prices. But it was actually super solid! I haven’t had dinner for two for less than $ 25 before tax in awhile, it’s just the nature of where we live. But this bar had a really nice atmosphere, a big TV to watch the game, nice waiting staff, and pretty good food. It’s not going to blow your mind, but you really can’t beat the price. Only major gripe is how dark the place was, but it is primarily a bar so I can’t completely hold it against them.

NOHARDALCOHOL?! BOO! I was bummed because it was my first time here and I was excited to get pretty buzzed and play some pool. When I ordered some tequila the bartender told me they only had beer and wine and sake. Bummer. With the amount of sake bombs and beer it would take me to get the same buzz off of 2 shots of tequila, my tummy would be as big as Santa Clause. No thanks. Point is, for this place being a bar I was pretty upset that they carried no hard alcohol. Pool table was cool, although the limited amount of space around the pool table allowed very limited shots to play pool.

(Club) going up on a Tuuuuuuesday. Pretty packed for a Tuesday, but service was still on-par. They have a good selection of drafts, sangrias, and $ 4 sake bombs. I love that they use cider for the sake bombs :) There’s only one pool table in the back, so it can get a bit cramped. There’s plenty of seating around though and TVs for your viewing pleasure. Bartenders are very friendly and efficient. Hoorah for Fly Bar!

This Spot: is definitely A Spot not too miss. Love lifes changes & adapt: my friend i planned on hitting the Madrone Bar a couple blocks down* it was MJ vs Prince night. My digression ends with this: the line was long the venue small and packed. We, head back & discover FlyBar: The Cat at the Door(not an actual cat) very welcoming with his dog(an actual dog) on a bar stool was cool. We, Mainly were seeking a restroom, thats thee only Delta. And not a bad thing(male point of view) i Agree with Equality % The Comfortable vibe and accessible bar tender. Delta: not a bad thing: Beer & wine only. lagunitas before i found my Good friend from Belguim«Chimay» say it with your chest. Sangria for my friend. Super bonus*** The Beats** music nostalgia/classic bay area & west Coast & some Biggie & Ghetto boys & Mos Def & like i said Bay beats with thee Bay Diplomatic E40. This Spot is now my Spot of preference. Extended bonus: when the kitchen closes don’t fret those late night need too feed; theres a Mexican spot across the street

This is a beer and wine only bar. There is no hard liquor and no red bull. Their food is limited to just sandwiches and pizza. Their pizza looked a bit oily, but I got the chicken and bacon sandwich and it was good. The chips did taste a little stale, but the beer selection on tap was nice. They have lagunitas IPA on tap and lots of other types of beers for around $ 5– great price. It wasn’t crowded or full when I went but it was a monday night so it makes a little sense. I would go back. it is trendy on the inside!

Grrrrrreat! I love going back to a place I already had a good feeling at, but didn’t get to try much of the food options. Fly Bar has a lot of great options, so I was very happy to go back on Friday and try it out. My friend just got a raise so she was out celebrating at Fly Bar. Some of my friends and I headed over to join around 8PM and the place was starting to fill in. We said our hellos at the pool table and snagged a spot for two at the bar. My friend bartends there so she came over quickly to say hello and took our order of Chicken Nachos with extra jalapeños. The food took a while to come out, so we worked on our beers and chatted. The Nachos were seriously bomb. SOMANYEXTRA jalapeños! I was amazed, but I also did a little schmoozing at the kitchen window while I waited for the bathroom, speaking in broken Spanglish to the chef to please add mas mas! Everything was hot, both temp wise and spiciness, and extremely cheesy so we were very happy. We also got a cup of sour cream, guac, and Pico de Gallo on the side. My other friends came over to eat some nachos with us and also ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza. Love the food and beer options and the friendly staff. Will be trying their other location real soon.
