Came here a few times because it’s so close to my house but it’s average dim sum and overall food. The service is seriously terrible. I feel super uncomfortable going there and they are extra rude to me. I have noticed that they are friendlier to Chinese customers.

Came here for the first time and the restaurant looked pretty dirty but because there’s a bunch of people eating here, I didn’t think too much about it. The dim sum was alright until we found a dead cockroach in our shrimp stuffed pepper. We notified our server so they offered lobster chow mein in replacement. Bad idea, there was a big dead fly in the chow mein. I’m never coming here again!

The food was okay. Not bad. Texture of dumpling wraps were rougher than other dim sum restaurants. But still edible. The prices am were great. All the dim sin dishes were the same price regardless of small, medium, or large side. Same price of $ 2.65 per dim sine everyday. I don’t understand why the checklist menu list different prices on the different sizes. We were charged correctly at the everything $ 2.65 per dim sum price. They did charge use $ 1.00 per person for tea. They get a 3 star from because because the customer service attitude was rude. No need to talk to customers like we don’t know what’s going on. Especially since it was our first time eating there. Just because you know the menu and how everything works, doesn’t mean all your new customers will know. Hell man… Event time they brought out a dish to our table, I would say thank you to which I don’t even get a response. Just a toss I’d the dish on the table and waters walked off. Hard to believe the customer was nicer then the restaurant workers. If they were nicer… No… If they were minutely nice, I would have give them 4 stars.

I loved this place… Until we decided to order a second round of shrimp dumpling(ha gaw). Had to ask twice, so when it came and I picked it up, a cooked cockroach surprise was waiting for me… Completely under and cooked underneath the ha gaw. Then the bf got stomach flu just 3 – 4 days right after.

Really disappointing. The shrimp dumplings were not edible. The pot stickers were okay, though way too greasy. We won’t be back.

I wouldn’t eat is this place again, I found it really dirty, I dont think the waitress spoke English at all, the Egg rolls we ordered were really greasy, we complained and ask her to take it off our bill and we can order something else, she said no, cant do that, I really think she didn’t understand why we were complaining and held up the egg roll with grease dripping from it, No Customer service her, we order Shrimp and Lobster sauce, Not bad but nothing outstanding, along with a shrimp and rice dish, dry and not impressed, all and all it was not a good restaurant, so pass it by… I hate dirty and Greasy, we were praying we didn’t get sick, we didn’t, but stay away…

I’m not really sure why this place has a low rating. I’ve been here a few times and even brought friends here from out of town, and we all really liked it. The pork buns are fluffy and sweet and they have a lot of options. The service was good, although there was a little bit of a language barrier when ordering. Would definitely recommend.

First of all, don’t have any expectations when you’re coming here. There was no wait when we came and the restaurant was about half full with customers. Their dim sum list was pretty limited compare to other dim sum places. We order the usual dim sum dishes like the shrimp dumplings and steamed custard buns. The food was about average, it wasn’t something that would stand out. Their tea was very water down and flagging down a waiter was like a game. I understand most Asian restaurants don’t have good service but this one was one of those you might as well get up and grab things yourself.

There was a baby cockroach in my shrimp dumpling. They apologized and we left. Don’t eat here. If you do decide to eat here anyways, bring an enemy with you so they can be sick as well.

This little out of the way gem is a must. Steamed pork buns were so tender. Steamed egg custard a treat. Chicken wings nice a crispy. You must try.

Eating here was the absolutely worst experience that I have ever had in a San Francisco restaurant. Just walk further up Clement or to Geary to some place else, especially if you are not natively Chinese. 1. Absolutely horrendous service — «it’s a traditional Chinese dim sum hole in the wall» is not an excuse. It’s also not okay for the only person who speaks English to be pugnatious with a horrible attitude and completely dishonest. 2. They will charge you inaccurately. 3. When you dispute it, they will bring back a bill with things you didn’t order added on to justify the charges. Normally, I like to patronize the smaller places around Richmond, but if I could, I would report this place for illegal business practices. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

had a light lunch here on a random weekend… was just ok. we ordered a few typical things, such as siu mai, har gao, lo bok go, etc. and all were pretty good/typical. what turned me off was they placed our foil-wrapped chicken on the table, then five minutes later came and back took it away to give to another table –___– we hadnt eaten any of it yet because we were still working on the other dishes, but this was the last thing that we ordered, and we ended up leaving because we didn’t want to wait for the new order to come out. not very professional, but also not very surprising, as this was a typical chinese-run place. might be back since its so close to my house, and if we were too late to snag a table at hong kong lounge…

alright, i’ve given this place two chances now. both times i have tried to order delivery on a monday night around 7pm, and have had my orders canceled. the first time they canceled my order because they were busy, which i understand, but the problem here is i wasn’t informed promptly. they didn’t call me, i only received an email 40 minutes after i placed my order, at almost 8pm. so i had to to order dinner from somewhere else, because by this point my corner shop was closed, and i didn’t end up eating until around 8:45pm. the second time i tried to order delivery was about 45 minutes ago. i receive a call from an eat24 employee — not the restaurant itself — informing me the order minimum is $ 20 when their Unilocal page clearly says its $ 15. she asked me if i wanted to add something to my order to meet the minimum, needless to say i said«no, please cancel» because this is now the second time i’ve dealt with this place that won’t even call their own customers who want to spend money with them. obviously, i will not be trying to order from this restaurant ever again. there are plenty of mediocre dim sum restaurants in the richmond/sunset area.

Average dim sum, prices are very reasonable. There were 3 adults and 1 child. Total bill was $ 26 bucks… we were completely stuffed! The best was the rice crêpe noodles with different fillings. Fast service, usually a wait for tables. Come back for the rice crêpe!

This place is open on Sunday morning for dim sum!!! There is an error on Unilocal and Google that says it is closed today. Anyways… we have wanted to eat here for years and we were not disappointed. 7 plates and $ 29 later, we left happy :) we tried: Fried chicken wings(you can pass on these) Pan fried pork with veggie bun(out of this world!!) Pan fries chives dumpling Steamed shrimp dumpling(this was ok) Pan fried pot stickers(amazing) Steamed BBQ pork buns(delish) Stuff crab claws with shrimp This place is amazing. Come here. Avoid the hour wait at hong kong lounge. Oh, and it is cheap. My Chinese heritage tells me you should never pay more than $ 5 for dumplings like you do at the ridiculous trendy places… unless you’re getting married.

Long waits, no parking & they forgot one of my orders… My parents say this is one of the better dim sum restaurants in the city, but in my opinion they all kind of taste the same… I wouldn’t recommend coming on the weekends, because there are a ton of families waiting to eat and they have this number system that doesn’t even work! They call out the wrong numbers/only call numbers inside so if you’re standing outside you don’t hear it… As for the food, it comes out pretty quickly, but the last time I came, they forgot one of our orders! So we were sitting there for maybe… 20 minutes without any food and a running meter! We ended up just canceling the order and getting the check cause we didn’t wanna waste our quarters anymore

I don’t care how good the food is, it is NOT okay to make someone that isn’t Cantonese wait an hour for take-out(couple items) in a non-peak hour while you serve every Cantonese person immediately after they walk in. That just doesn’t fly in America. Be pushy and demanding here or they won’t give you your food or respect you. Or just don’t eat here at all.

Cheap prices, but barely passable dim sum. I have no desire to come back. They’ve not offended me in any way in particular, so this isn’t grounds for a 1-star review. Given all the other dim sum places in the area, i have no idea how this place stays open, frankly.

My family and I came here during a holiday in search for some dim sum. Initially, we were heading towards Hong Kong Lounge but after seeing the line, we decided to go elsewhere. And that’s how we were brought here. I actually just found this place by mistake. I was lured in by the shorter line & pricing. We waited a few minutes to be seated. I was so surprised to see that the dishes were so cheap! From $ 2.50-$ 3.25!!! Specialty dishes were priced at $ 5.50…but not bad. The restaurant was packed! So I was assuming it was good. So we marked on the little paper provided ehat we wanted and gave it to the waitress. Service: It’s really not the best. They sorta ignore you and have to wave them down for something. I had to ask 3 times for my water to come. The guy was pretty attentive though when clearing our dishes. But we waited 20−25mins for our food to come out. Idk if it was because it was a holiday? Food: * Siumai: Standard. A little smaller than usual but served hot. Also it was pretty moist. * Har Gow: Good size. The skin was a little sticky but othereise delicious. * Chicken Feet(NOTPICTURED): Was tender yet had an overpowering anise flavor. But not bad for the price. * Shrimp and Chive: Delicious filling but the wrapper was also sticky. We finished it though. * Fried Shrimp Dumpling: A little greasy. But otherwise standard. * Steamed Spareribs: I’ve had better. But it cured my craving. * Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf(NOTPICTURED): Lots of filling. Served hot. * Steamed Tofu Roll(NOTPICTURED): Kept falling apart. Not too much flavor. * Fried Sesame Ball(NOTPICTURED): Good but a little softer than I’m used to. A little greasy as well. * Fried Shrimp Roll(NOTPICTURED): Ehh. Greasy. Slightly burnt. * Foil Wrapped Chicken: I guess I’m not a big fan of five-spice. The chicken was moist though. Overall I would come back if I was in the area and Hong Kong Lounge had a long line again. Not the best dim sum in the world but it also depends on what you order. I loved how the dishes were always served hot. Not bad for a quick fix. Pretty cheap too. All of the dishes ee ordered rounded up to $ 39.

Having had dimsum all over the world I looked up and saw an article as one of the best dim sum places. After picking up my friend from the airport(her first time visiting sf) we decided to come here for dimsum ummm we both agree it’s the worse dimsum we have ever had :(anything fried all tasted of that burnt oil and well we couldn’t bother to eat it so paid and left it lol not worth the calories or nauseated feeling :/ As for service couldn’t tell if there was any but I never expect it from an Asian restaurant lol

I can excuse a brusque attitude, chalk up flies around the front door as trash having been recently cleared and overlook a scuffed up appearance inside and out but I can’t excuse watching an employee squat on the floor 15 feet behind the register shucking produce(I saw this when I returned to pick up the order I’d already paid for) nor mushy shrimp in my entrée that announces it was one step away from being composted. After 2 bites, I threw away my honey walnut prawn entrée and had one too many bites of very fatty pork hidden beneath the sweet & sour sticky sauce. The dim sum was just ok: the wrappers were too thick and the ha gow once again tasted on the verge of spoiled(loads of garlic and spinach didn’t disguise the gooey texture of the chopped shrimp inside). Skip this place; given their lousy attitude, they won’t miss you.

Fantastic! After living in Asia for 20 years hard to find local authentic dim sum but not here, it’s the real deal. Dim Sum fresh, hot, tasty, and cheap. The rice noodles, wonton skin, and, steam dumplings not sticky great texture. Steam buns good proportion with dough and fillings. Service friendly but very authentic(don’t take it personal if they don’t smile at you) and feel at home yelling for their attention. Atmosphere, burbing out loud from other tables is a good sign and compliment. feel free to let it go from the attic not the basement. Great job and keep it real… you win some and you lose dim sum… this place a winner. Xie Xie
