Stripper poles and white table cloths. Hello Good Evening Thursday. The private«Pussycat Lounge» of the upstairs of Bruno’s(with a fitting«Pussycat» sign made out of lights and a… might I say… large cat over looking the bar) is turned into an interesting vibed, one night a week steakhouse on Thursdays. Their menu was a mix of appetizers and main courses, somewhat distinguishable by their prices. The appetizers included a chopped salad with blue cheese and beets, oysters rockefeller, fish and potato topped toast, and pork rillette(a stewed like pork, with the consistency of pulled pork). Their entrees included a hamburger with fries, breakfast for dinner(a French omelet with goat cheese and greens), prime rib for two, filet mignon with bone marrow, and fish stew. The best dish we had was the filet mignon with bone marrow. The filet was cooked to a *perfect* medium rare and the bone marrow was delicious. The prime rib for two was tasty and also cooked to a beautiful medium rare, but lacked a bit of flavor and maybe some au jus. The creamed spinach and bacon/fingerling potato hash-like sides were delish. We also had the pork rillette, chop salad, fish toast, and a bottle of wine. For 4, the bill came out to $ 150 + tip. The atmosphere was different, with the orange lights, «aint no sunshine» playing in the background, loud fellow diners, our server in flip flops and a vest, and… two stripper poles. But the service was good and the food was tasty. And they were playing the game downstairs at the bar.
