Ordered takeout here, I highly recommend it. It’s a fast and easy set up to order pick up on your way home from work. This place is set up like a bakery you pick your items they will place them in your takeout box which they charge for FYI. The earlier you get there the more likely they won’t run out of items. In my case, by 6pm some items were no longer available.

Great cheap fast dim sum joint and which is good for both a snack or a meal(though they close early). You can mix and match so go wild. I don’t like it as much as new mong kok in Chinatown which still remains the mack.

Such great dim sum! I’m super impressed. I had bookmarked this place after telling my boyfriend how much I was craving dim sum. We don’t ever get it to be honest, so I hesitated but he was down to get some for breakfast. Thank God. Upon arrival, you’ll first notice how small the café is. The counter to your left houses the delicious dim sum and pastries they also offer. The line actually weaves towards the back where the tables are so prepare yourself for some slight crowding. The line itself does not take very long and even then, most people try to reserve one of the eight tables provided so they can eat right away. Cleanliness-wise, I’d say this place could use a good scrub down. It just looks like your typical Chinese bakery so that didn’t bother me too much. As you near towards the head of the line, you’ll see the menu up behind the ladies working the counter because they use a red board with white letters. Some of the menus will show how many pieces are sold and how much they go for, while others will provide individual costs per piece depending on the size I’m assuming. The women behind the counter are pretty straight forward, I did feel a little rushed because I didn’t know what I wanted exactly. Good thing I checked this page and the reviews though because I was satisfied with my order. My boyfriend got us the shrimp shu mai, pork shu mai, and potstickers. One order for three pieces? Yes please! I myself ordered the egg yolk bun, a steamed bbq pork bun, and a little custard tart. This place is bomb digs and I highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for cheap, yet delicious, pick-up food.

This dim sum is legit. I’ve had it for takeout a few times, and it tastes just as though it was served at a restaurant but without the loud, busyness of a actual dim sum restaurant. I like the lotus leave rice, and all the shu Mai and ha gaw are delicious too.

There aren’t many push cart dim sum places in the city but there are still good dim sum places nonetheless. I took my mom here when she visited and this time I brought Mink. This cozy dim sum restaurant is legit and I would recommend it to anyone craving dim sum in the city. There is usually a line but the wait isn’t too long. Parking: Street(Residential is free or Metered Parking). Dine In: 8 tables to dine on(tables aren’t always clean but you can bus it yourself). Condiments on table(Soy Sauce that’s on the sweeter side and Hot Sauce). Take Out: It’s $ 0.20 per box. Drinks: They sell cold drinks(Juice, Soda, Soy Milk, Hong Kong Style Coffee & Water). Water is $ 1.00. They have Hot Tea but I’m not sure if they charge for that. Food: You order at the counter and you can choose how many pieces of each item you want or how many lbs. They also have other dishes aside from typical dimsum such as desserts, noodles and jook(rice porridge). It’s very affordable and good dim sum here! Payment: Cash Only Service: Quick and Efficient. They can take orders in English or Chinese. Con: There are a few rude old Chinese people that come to your table to do their business while you’re there. Typical but annoying. Not the restaurants fault.

So cheap! Its typical of a take-out dim sum place, so it can be overwhelming with the amount of activity… with the asian women yelling at each other for something or another, and a line of people both waiting to order and at the tables, it can be difficult to know what you’re ordering and if its too much food. They have a lot of the basic offerings like buns and dumpling-like things, but since we were a group of 4, it was kind of annoying that most things came in sets of 3. I remember the pork bun being somewhat uncooked, and the egg custard just… not tasting as buttery and delicious as it should have. Maybe I just prefer the sit-down kind of dim sum better. They ran out of congee :(

We definitely over ordered here! Which is very easy to do when you don’t realize that each order comes with three pieces! Not much of a sit down place, just some tables and chairs in the back. Restroom very clean. The line gets very long but there are moments when it ebbs. Really enjoyed some of their dim sum here! The chives one were my fav.

It was indeed good luck finding this place! I gotta have my dim sum yum fix from time to time. This place is always packed whenever I come. I recommend grabbing a menu and paper while you wait in line and write down what you want and how much. Trust, it’ll make the process go a lot faster. There is seating here but I feel more comfortable taking my food and eating it at home. I feel like this place wasn’t intended to anyway. Bring some sauce containers since they don’t provide any. I generally get the basic: eggrolls, siu mai, deep fried stuffed dumpling, and har gow. And they all taste great! Everything is super cheap which is great for me! You can get full roughly around under $ 15. What a steal am I right? Authentic, cheap, and delicious.

Ehhhhh… Definitely the McDonald’s version of dim sum. You get in the queue and grab a pink menu and just make your selection. Keep in mind that each order is 3 pieces for $ 2 which is pretty cheap. The place could just a wipe down. The tables were filthy and I didn’t dare look under the table. The dim sum we ordered was just ok, it would have been better if it was hot. It was just luke warm temperature. It was also served on paper plates and with plastic forks. I firmly believe that some of the best foods are found in hole in the wall places but this definitely wasn’t the case. I’d pass on this one or else take it to go if you really want to try it.

There are lots of dim sum bakeries in SF but Good luck has some of the best food. Parking in Inner Richmond is definitely easier than Chinatown but the line at good luck gets quite long. The morning we were there the staff was struggling to fill both call-in and waiting orders and the kitchen was behind resulting in repeated shortages of certain items. On the positive side the price and quality were excellent, so a 5 for food but try to go at off days or hours for best selection.

Service was awesome! dropped by here for a quick carb load before heading to the zoo :) Total meal fpr $ 15 was enough for 2 people! couldnt asked for a cheaper yet satistfying way to start our day! Love their shrimp w/taro dumplings and chive dumplings! would definitely pass on the egg custord buns(the skin is way too thick). seatting is tight with alot of turnover. dont expect to sit at a wiped down desk– and try not to look at the floor under your table. there is discarded chicken feet bones everywhere!

My friend and I were craving dim sum but didn’t have the time for a sit down dim sum place in Chinatown so we found this place on Unilocal. There was a bit of a line inside when we came but it went by pretty quick. You have to grab a menu and pen and circle which orders of dim sum you would like. Unfortunately, they were out of sesame balls which are one of my favs. I also wished they had some veggie dishes as well. Our Order: –Shrimp Dumplings!(YUM) –Shrimp and Chive Dumplings –Porridge –Egg Rolls –Pork Shumai I wasn’t a fan of the bbq pork in the pork buns. The service was super quick in getting our order and luckily we were able to swoop in on a table. What I loved the most was how cheap everything was! Our whole order was only $ 14 which fully fed 2 of us

So cheap and good! The three of us stuffed ourselves practically sick(with no regrets) for $ 21.30. The flavors are all delicious with no pretention-just good, cheap dim sum the way it should be. Favorites were the radish cake which was flavorful and fresh and the pork shumai which was super juicy. My main complaint is the thickness of the dumplings skins… They’re all a bit thick which takes away from the impact of the filling. The egg tart crust was also too thick affecting the ratio of egg to crust. Also did not enjoy the sweet rice with chicken which wasn’t sticky or flavorful enough for me. Fyi another reason for takeaway(besides the mentioned lack of seating) would be that some of the food comes cool and would benefit from reheating.

This is by far the best place for dim sum without the fanfare and show that comes with dining in. The location itself is pretty narrow and has limited seating. However, most people that venture here take their order to go. It’s a quick operation that makes being in line not so bad. Once you’re inside, take one of the pink slips and pens to mark the items you want. This eliminates any potential language barriers, so it’s positive for both sides! Three tiers are available: 3 for 2 dollar items, items for less than a dollar and then the a la carte items. I always go for the siu mai, fried stuffed dumplings, leek dumplings and the turnip cake because it makes you want to turn up! Eh eh?! Okay sorry. But I won’t apologize for eating it all myself because the food is great. An added bonus is that it usually costs less than 10 dollars to get you full. If you’re still hungry, I highly recommend the baked bbq buns. They’re huge and the pork filling is better than most places around the city. The women who keep the line moving are really nice. I’m not sure if they have any ownership but they definitely work like it’s their store. If you’re nice, they might just throw in some extra goodies. This assumes they’ve seen your face a bajillion times, which will likely happen because you’ll come back after your first time here.

Was taken here by a friend and it has become one of my favorite places for delicious, cheap, authentic dim sum. You’ll probably be in line for a little bit(esp if you come on a Sunday). But this gives you time to look over the menu which is written in Chinese and English on your order form(and stare at everything that comes out in the big steamers!) Everything is quite a steal! Most of the savory items will be 3 for $ 2, including the shrimp dumplings, shrimp and chive dumplings, shiu mai, and turnip cake. A lot of sweet items like the mochi rice puff with peanuts and coconut, egg yolk bun(steamed white bun with a sweet yellow filling — love!) will be $ 0.90. Sweet rice wrapped in lotus leaf, a baked BBQ pork bun, Chinese donut, and porridge are all going to be a dollar or 2 more. But they will ALL be worth it! My favorites — dumplings! They aren’t pan fried dumplings, so their skin will be chewy and glutinous. The shrimp and chive dumplings have a great balance of the two ingredients, and the plain shrimp one is stuffed full of delicious shrimp. If you don’t know what to order, just be adventurous — everything is delicious!

Dine in or take it to go. Either way you won’t be disappointed. No frills hole in the wall establishment on Clement between 9th&8th with awesome dim sum made fresh throughout the day. In the steamer baskets: Assorted steamed buns and dumplings are 3 for $ 2.00. Glass cases: Most buns and pastries are $ 0.90 each. Highly recommend: * Steamed BBQ pork bun * Shrimp dumpling * Pork siu mai * Custard bun * Sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves * Taro puff Bring your cash. And perhaps your own reusable containers. Good Luck Dim Sum is cash only and charges $ 0.20 per box.

Good Luck Dim Sum is one of the more popular«take out» /«to go» Dim Sum spots on Clement Street in the Richmond District of San Francisco. The food is fresh and reliable. They only accept CASH, so bring your USDOLLARS and leave the checks and credit cards at home. The portions and pricing is fair and reasonable. Parking is tough in the Richmond District on Clement Street, the heart of the shopping area, but it’s not impossible to find a meter nor free parking if you have the right amount of patience, karma, and timing.

Cheap and quick dim sum! This place is CASHONLY! The lady at the counter spoke English so there were no issues with us ordering. We came towards the later part of the day and they were out of some items like shrimp dumplings. We got a ton of shumai and pork dumplings in a to-go box and it only ended up being $ 8 which was a great deal. The quality is solid and the serving size of each dumpling is huge too! There’s also some seating inside but note it’s not one of those fancy dim sum restaurants with carts being pushed around if that’s what you’re looking for.
