Do not use this company. They are unreliable, and rude. Ten minutes before the drivers were scheduled to arrive, we received a call that the truck had broken down, and they would be two hours late. There was no backup plan in place(another truck perhaps?) and when I called to complain, «Dan» was extremely rude and indignant that I would suggest they should be taking better care of their equipment.

Very high prices, sloppy and unprofessional work, and damage to my wooden furniture. No way to file a claim for damages because I did not use their«professional packing» services. The movers said they did not need the cloth furniture pads I provided, so they did not use them and just wrapped wooden furniture in plastic mover’s wrap, so the furniture ended up with gouges and missing paint. Very disappointing experience.

I do NOT recommend this company. The good: The woman that answers the phone is nice and helpful. Their rates are good. The bad: They sent 3 movers that were here for the summer from Kazakhstan. They spoke enough English to do the job however communication was still somewhat challenging. They were not(by any means) moving professionals and this showed several times over. A few of the frustrations: 1. The movers damaged several walls while removing furniture. 2. The movers damaged several pieces of furniture — sadly some of it was custom stuff. 3. While taking a sofa out of our place, they decided to take a break ½ way through the moving job. So, where did they leave our sofa? Right in the middle of the front door! That’s right folks! I had half a dozen people taking boxes and other items out of our place that could no longer do anything because these @$${$ decided that moment in time would be the perfect time for their unscheduled break.(In hindsight I should have told them to get lost right then and there.) 4. The movers spent an incessant amount of time organizing the things into the moving truck even though I told them to focus on bringing the heavy items out. 5. When I called the company to complain and ask for a partial refund, I was told that I have to fill out forms(forms that they told me they’d send me, then never did) and get estimates for everything damaged. All that because they sent unprofessional schmucks. Finally I just got my credit card company to refund me the money I paid since I was completely unsatisfied with Handy Dandy’s sesrvices. So, that’s 1 to 5. 1 good, 5 negatives. Not a ratio I like!

I called these guys on a Wednesday and they showed up Friday, and worked for 9 hours, moving our 2600′ house to a 1200′ apartment. 3 guys, all Russian/English speaking were just great. We had waay more stuff than we estimated, but they were great and don’t worry about them having only 1 other review.
