Helen is an amazing person and a great therapist. She understands my issues and truly cares about me. She knows when to treat me with kid gloves and when to push me harder on my replies. All in all, cannot recommend her enough.

I admit it. This is not my first day at the rodeo. I’ve seen a few therapists over the years, and Helen tops them all. She is accessible, warm, down-​to-​earth and clinically on target. Completely nonjudgemental, and full of useful insights. She gives practical advice, without directives, and has an uncanny ability to catch the nuance of situations.
If you are at a crossroads, call her. She will help.

I was very fortunate to have a friend recommend Helen Rothbaum to me. She assured me that I would feel comfortable talking with Helen and she was certainly right. Helen is warm, wise, experienced, non-​judgmental and a real person. She has a good sense of humor and I feel that she understands me. She has helped me so much. I wish I had met Helen years ago. I highly recommend her.

Helen is the Jewish mother I always needed and never had. She’ll say to me things like «Well of course you’re wonderful darling, but a little messhugnah at times.» She does not belong to the psychotherapist school of stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable until your hour is up. Her style is talking to a supportive friend, asks you great follow-​up questions, frames your thoughts, and outputs great advice. Helen’s eyes are warm, brown pools that emit empathy and understanding. She used to be in the music industry, a mark of hipster credibility, and often peppers her examples with colorful language. A real person, not an academic trying trying to fit your life into Freud’s theories.
