This place is a decent laundromat. I have used both change machines and many of the washers and dryers without ever losing a quarter. However, my girlfriend took some items in to be dry cleaned because they had stains or smelled of campfire. When they came back, the stains were still there and now all the clothes smelled of campfire. Although the dry clean practice is questionable, the coin-op portion of the business remains solid. The soda machine only costs 75ç which is nice, but they used to have pac-man and the place just feels so empty without him.

I used to go to the Bubble Laundry half a block away, but since they stopped providing hot water, and since they shortened the time on their dryers to only 5 minutes, I am happy to have found the Jones St. Laundry. The hot water is hot, the dryer cycle is long enough(and hot enough) to actually dry your clothes, and an on-site attendant is available to answer questions. The neighborhood is nice, so it’s worth walking an extra block and a half. Their prices are lower, too, even though they’re a block farther up Nob Hill.

I only do my washing there if my machines are broken or I have a large item to wash in the industrial size washers. The change machine there has taken my money(in this case $ 10) without returning any change. The weird little man who’s on-site behind the counter has only given me the run around about refunding my money. I last visited here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was totally empty, there were several out of order signs posted on various machines and they were charging a lot for a regular top-load wash. I think their days of being in business are numbered.

I live half a block away so its convenient, its kind of expensive 2.50 for each washing load! but everyone is nice and there are usually always machines open

Ok, so I live in the TenderNob, or as I like to refer to it as… Academy of Art College Hills. Yeah, they’re everywhere. So, being as there’s a bazillion kids, there’s also a bazillion laundry places. I typically do laundry in my basement of my building, but when it’s broken for some reason, or perhaps being used by everyone there, I go here. Why? It’s a pretty decent washing service, it’s quiet, I’ve never had problems with my clothes getting ruined, and there’s Ms. Pac Woman on the video game for a quarter. SWEET! Makes me enjoy doing my laundry all the more. ;)
