The fruit here isn’t so great and tends to be bruised/old looking. I haven’t tried anything else here really…

I live pretty close to this produce store. Its a whole in the wall– but that’s why I like it :) Simple and honest. The prices are very reasonable, and they have all the basic fruits/veggies you need. What really keeps me coming back is the sweet girl at the register. Shes always kind– and most importantly to me, Shes nice to my food! I know its silly but I hate when people just carelessly toss everything into the bag on top of each other. Ruins the time spent carefully picking out nice stuff only to be bruised and broken before your out the door! lol She took the time today to re-arrange my bag after I grabbed a last minute coconut water! That shows detail and care. Small effort– BIG impact. Thank you nice produce lady! Ill be back very soon :)

Like most Mexican produce stores, this place is cramped and crowded. But it’s a small price to pay for getting better quality, lower cost produce. For example, I can get tomatoes for .69/lb that are much redder than what Safeway sells for 2 or 3 times as much. I also love their«paletas»(Mexican ice cream bars) — strawberry, coconut, tamarindo and their Mexican candies, which they keep at the register. For those of you who get all your groceries at big-box grocery chains, definitely check out La Loma for your produce — grocery chains can’t even compare in price.

This is a small very Latin oriented produce and staples market. Plenty of beans, rice, and produce to be had(including a pretty nice refrigerated shelf in the store). They have some pretty nice deals on the produce up front to. And they have Mexican chocolate. When the weather inevitably turns crappy again, I’ll go back and buy some,
