Sandee Henry is one of the best practitioners I have ever worked with. I cannot recommend her enough if your are ready for true breakthrough and change in your life!

I saw one of the therapists here for close to 15 years – and was moved by the warmth, caring and compassionate treatment I received from day one. I’m super picky and opinionated and had a tough time finding a therapist that I felt was a good fit. When I landed here I knew I’d found the right place. Several years after I stopped seeing my therapist I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Of course, I was freaking out. My former therapist opened her heart and made time for me even though her schedule was completely filled. She was a pillar of strength and support during a very dark time, and I know that making time for me was not easy for her. That’s the kind of generosity of spirit and professionalism I would want in any therapist.

When you’re depressed, spending time searching for a psychologist can seem utterly overwhelming. I know. A few years back I was at the end of my rope. I was broke and broken and after visiting too many offices that told me I would have to wait at least two more weeks to see someone, I begged office number whatever to give me another option. That’s when I first heard about the Laurel Center. As a lesbian, I wanted to see a female therapist and hoped to work with a woman that truly understood my life(wink, wink). The Laurel Center is home to a number of therapists that fit that criteria and thanks to them, I am now healed and healthy. The Center works with other minorities as well, so if you need help, give the Laurel Center the once over. I did and it saved my life.
