What a horrible experience. I came here through the advice of my personal shopper at Saks. I was looking for a dress for my daughter’s wedding. They would only show me a few styles that they thought would fit me. I saw a different dress for another client, tried it on, and ordered it in my size and a different color. the price tag was $ 1800. She wrote down $ 2500 however, saying that if it was custom-​made, it was more. Wait… i go to get something custom made and have to pay $ 700 more? Also this was a VERY simple dress with fabric that was so-​so. I was so tired of shopping however that i ordered the dress. Four months later, i get the ugliest dress i’ve seen. The darts were pointing up to my chin, the fabric was pilled, and the wrap had 2 snags in it. The seams were puckered. I sent it back 2 weeks before the wedding. We had asked to make the wrap (a clever «sleeve» thing) with a wider opening, which they did not do. I just looked there in horror.
Thank gd i had ordered through Saks, or i would not have been able to get my money back. Saks was great. They found me another dress that day and saved this disaster.
Do not go to this place. Tacky fabrics, horrible crystal buttons, matronly styles and overpriced. They did have a couple of cute things i liked, but there are places with much better prices, service and style.

o.k. so my wedding is coming up and we were trying to find a beautiful dress for my mother, who happens to be plus size. Our wonderful sales friends at Wilkes Bashford sent us to this place, since they can make whatever dress from scratch. Lily Samii wanted, and I quote «at least $ 12,000» for my mother’s ball gown type dress. First of all, she mostly works with tafita, and has the cheapest beading ever! I can literally walk down to Chinatown and find more beautiful dresses, and better structured ones at that! I was so upset by this nobody, who I think doesn’t even understand fashion, that I called my sales person at Wilkes and let them know. Wilkes Bashford was shocked when I told them what amount she expected! They were able to get my mother in with a designer from Pamela Rolland (an actual brand name designer) that is able to make a GORGEOUS dress for my mother with less than half of what Lily Samii expected. If you really know high end fashion, they you will not be impressed by this horrid place. Save your time, save your money, and go to a respected place like Wilkes Bashford or Neiman’s for a beautiful dress with half the money! I would not recommend this place to anybody, not only for the horrid prices, but also for the attitude that this woman has! Save yourself, trust me!
