Pretty amazing local designer. Somehow she curates fabrics like no one else. Her designs are quirky, but still wearable on a daily basis — that’s very hard to pull off for a designer and as a customer who wears the pieces. She’s self taught which is a quality that I admire. She’s very much a woman’s woman, but she’s not girly or precious. She’s nice and kind, and smart, and she’ll tell you if something looks good on me or doesn’t. Besides clothes there are bags that she’s made her self from leather. There is a small amount of cool and very unique jewelry. Lola is the kind of gal you can hang out with and be inspired by. She understands the female body, no matter what shape it is. That’s pretty rare. Everything is made to order unless you happen to fit into what’s on a rack. FUN shop!

I have two treasured pieces of clothing from Lola that I bought, oddly, in Santa Fe when she formerly had a business selling her works through third parties. I thought it funny at the time — Lola of San Francisco, where I live, and I was buying her clothes in Santa Fe. But I walked into the store for the first time last week and bought a fabulous dress for a very reasonable price. Her personal attention, and the ability to buy one-of-the-kind clothing for less than what you’d pay for impersonal, mass-market stuff, is amazing. I am still thinking about going back, I tried to be frugal but loved several other pieces.

Lola is fabulous. I’ve purchased several items from her store at this point and have loved every one. They end up being important pieces of my wardrobe. They are well made and ultra stylish. It’s all her own designs and she makes the clothes right there in the store. She works with you to get the best fit and will alter pieces on the spot or in good time! She’s super personable and fun to work with, she’s honest about what seems right for you or your occassion. And, she makes me feel like I’m the only customer that shops there! She’s awesome as are her clothes! Check it out!

From the moment you step into Lola’s, her creative world captivates you. Patterns hang on a rack in the front of her shop and her fun and clean designs beckon you to explore further. Her atelier serves as both a showroom and workshop and pieces can be made to order, fitted to your body with beautiful fabrics that change with the seasons. And then there’s Lola herself. She’s an artist with boundless energy and ideas. With a practiced eye, she pulls from her inventory and even works in progress to try on. Her service takes a good thing to a great experience. I now own pieces from her very reasonably priced collections that range from formal evening wear to business attire(nothing boring of course) and casual separates. Best of all, Lola’s designs fit perfectly.

I still get some of the most compliments on my delightful hand-made Lola clothes. Her designs are truly whimsical and expressive of her passion for clothing and the arts. A true gem in Noe Valley.

Welcome to Noe Valley, LOLA. Now in the former Apple Blossom location at 1303 Castro St — Let’s just say I am in LOVE! Being a self-proclaimed fashionista, I walked into this boutique and as Rachel Zoe would say, «i die!» Lola is a super cool, down-to-earth artistic genius, who uses luxurious European fabrics and creates one-of-a-kind, couture quality, edgy meets classic modern pieces that are timeless. My philosophy is cost per wear, and you will wear her designs over and over again. Step into Lola, and you will WANT one of everything!(i do!) Some items on my wish list: UH-MAZING reversible made-to-order Italian leather motorcycle jacket, stunning silk taffeta dress with gorgeous details in fuschia, a fabulous fitted coat in fabric i have never seen before, that can also be worn as a dress, and last but not least, a wool 2 piece suit, perfectly tailored for work and equally sexy for after work cocktails/dinner. Lola is extremely kid-friendly — and my 2 very active boys were very content while mommy tried on several pieces – Lola has crayons and paper to keep the kids entertained!!! My latest acquistion that i live in is a beautiful augbergine boiled-wool sweater coat – perfect for SF weather, and makes me feel far more glamorous and put together than my standard puffer vests!!! MOms and fashionistas alike, you must stop into LOLA — you will be very happy you did!!!
