Maxwell is an incredible therapist. I was dealing with some difficult issues in my life that included a lot of stress and anxiety(both situational and pervasive). The work I did with him literally transformed my life(the actuality and how I experience it now). some key points I loved about how Maxwell works: * Maxwell has the philosophy of teaching a person how to fish over giving them fish every week for years on end. I probably worked with him a little longer than some(~9 months), but I «graduated». I came away capable of continuing my personal growth on my own. Put another way, he teaches self-sufficiency * he doesn’t pathologize parts of the normal spectrum of human behavior. It has often been easy to look my life and see mistakes I’ve made, how perhaps I deviate from«norms»(highly introverted, …), and feel different than others(in a bad way). The type of therapy Maxwell practices(narrative, a particular type of post-modern therapy) is client-centered and stays away from preaching to a client on what they *should* do. This type of therapy coupled with Maxwell’s completely nonjudgemental manner enabled me to figure out what do for myself. I felt like I had the space to do this as well as a companion while I figured it out. I highly recommend Maxwell.

Maxwell is like the honest and loving brother who guides you to the source of your questions/worries/issues. Several of my friends are also his clients, and all of us are huge fans of Max for helping us with our relationships, traumas, addictions, mommy/daddy issues, insecurities, general personal growth, etc. Max blends in the old school therapy approach with some of the more holistic methods to help keep your emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and physical pillars balanced and healthy. Working with Max has made an immeasurable positive impact on my life; he truly is an amazing therapist.

Maxwell is as good as it gets. I have recommended him to several different friends of mine! The people I recommend Maxwell too are either, themselves struggling with an addition issue,(such as drug and/or alcohol) or they have a child/family member with an addiction issue. In my experience, I have seen Maxwell work wonders with young adults/teenagers and he’s also the absolute best when it comes to providing support for families when it comes to changing old patterns/ways of being.
