Great for commercial catering in the financial district of SF! The pasta is so good. The ravioli is tasty for vegetarians and homemafe Tiramisu. Call Antonio to make your catering order!

Down the block from where I was staying, the crew hit this up for a late lunch. When you’re the only people eating in the restaurant, you would expect service to be solid. That was not the case on this particular day. We were seated at this table in the far corner at the front of the restaurant which is the furthest distance from the kitchen, where our server was most of the time, likely watching TV because I could hear the TV playing but not able to see it. Our waters were empty half the time and it seemed as he checked on us when it was convenient for him. Their house salad was exceptional with the vinegar dressing not too overly strong but just at the right balance. The bread and marinara sauce with traces of olive was good, except for the fact I had to ask the server if we could have bread and he failed to give us more: unacceptable. I ordered the RAVIOLIDIANATRA: for those who don’t know Italian(myself included) it’s ravioli with roasted duck on the inside. As a food critic, I felt that proper measures weren’t taken to elevate the dish to the next level. It didn’t taste like duck which makes me wonder if it was some faux duck. The sauce wasn’t as good as the dipping sauce that came with the bread and to top it off, there were only like 8 raviolis. Guess I should have known that when looking at the type of restaurant we were going to. Subpar service and a meal where the two best items I had were not even the main course= «no return trip for you»

Mediocre. Ended up here for New Year’s Eve dinner and found the only option was a $ 40 set menu. Everything was just ok. Wine selection was sad. Service was good and waitstaff was friendly.

Went here the day after Christmas 2015. BTW: for those looking for a decent restaurant the DAYOFCHRISTMAS, I learned that they had been open for Christmas day as well(not so common with the Roman Catholic Italian places). We had a party of five and ordered a variety of pasta dishes mostly and the rib eye entrée, plus some vegetable sides(spinach and roasted vegetables $ 5 each, unfortunately they didn’t have the online menu’s roasted asparagus). The rib eye was quite large, enough to share with three other men as a smaller secondi dish since most of us ordered pasta. Two of us had the orichette with sausage — pretty good but not outstanding, they subbed broccoli bits instead of asparagus. Other’s had the meatballs with pasta and another had the arrabiata. We were a little dissapointed that they had run out of gnocchi so we couldn’t try the gnocchi with gorgonzola pasta dish. To be simple and clear: the food was good, much of it was very good, my fellow diners liked what they received. Nothing was exceptional, but I see this as more of a regular go-to place that is very comfortable, not too fancy or pretentious… so not so hard to get a reservation or walk-in. The service was just great, very attentive and casual, nothing rushed and nothing overlooked, which helped create a very comfortable and relaxing meal for a group who wanted to take their time during a holiday dinner. I look forward to trying more of their dishes in another visit.

Loved it! I had the gnocchi which melted in my mouth and was the best I ever had. Also had a salad and the greens were very fresh and crispy. Will definitely be back!

Solid 4 star… Dinner last night with my son. I ate the special that was Penne Puttanesca, soup, and glass of wine for $ 20– excellent, he had the capellini al pomodoro and enjoyed it too. We had the bruschetta, tomatoes were great and well seasoned. Dessert was bread pudding wth dried fruit for me and cheesecake for my son. I really never give 5 stars, I might have here but the restaurant was too warm for enjoyable dining. For some reason the air wasn’t moving and it was warm towards the uncomfortable range even on a night that was very comfortable walking the city.

What a neat little find! I did not know this place until yesterday when a friend took me there for lunch. As a born and raised Italian, whenever I approach a seemingly non-authentic restaurant — whether is it California inspired Italian food, or checkered cloth American-Italian — I set my expectations and rate accordingly. Boy was I mistaken here. Caveat: I have only tried pasta dishes(the true measure). Yesterday: Penne Arrabbiata: The penne were perfectly al dente, the tomato sauce fresh and tasty, spicy to perfection, not too much, not too little. Today:(yes I’m sick) Ravioli all’anatra, or duck filled ravioli. Very tasty, salty just enough, and a light tomato based sauce. Yum! I washed the meal down with Barbera by the glass(at $ 10 I think it was the most expensive by the glass red) and it was good. Service is attentive and friendly, bread is soft and addictive, comes with two dips that are quite good. Causal atmosphere(read not a date place) perfect for a good value meal with friends, coworkers, etc.

MANGIATUTTIRISTORANTE When I was invited to an Italian restaurant in San Francisco for a group outing, I was surprised that it was tucked inside Chinatown, of all places! Great interior brings the Italian lifestyle and dining experience to life. The pasta was GUAZZETTO: Spaghetti with sautéed black tiger prawns, mushrooms, fresh onion and tomatoes in a mascarpone cheese sauce — decent pasta but the sauce was a bit too heavy. BRUSCHETTA: Toasted bread topped with fresh tomatoes, shaved Parmesan cheese and basil — wonderful appetizer to start your meal TAGLIATADIMANZO: Grilled Rib Eye steak in a brown sauce served with roasted potatoes — the steak was grilled to perfection! The service was wonderful and the dining environment was enjoyable. The food was good but not spectacular. Overall, a great place to eat at with friends.

Complimentary bread is kind of addicting actually… their bread is nothing special but it is really soft! They give two types of dipping sauce — one with olive oil and olives(?), and another tomato based sauce, and it was unlimited bread and sauce refill. AWESOME! I ordered to Bolognese pasta, and it didn’t disappoint! Perhaps it could’ve been a little bit more salty, but they did add two heaping spoons of parmesan into your plate after you were served. The pasta was a perfect size portion, and nicely al dente. My friends who got the spaghetti and meatball dish also looked really, really good — there were three giant meatballs on there. how can you not like that?!

Under whelming– the waitstaff was wonderful but the food was not. We literally were the only patrons in the restaurant. The bread was stale and the sauces were uninspired. We started with the antipasto plate– it sounded so much better than it was– unfortunately it was the best part of the meal. We each had a different entrée and of the three, they were all at best average. I had the chicken saltimbocca– the chicken breast was dry and over cooked topped with a huge portion of mozzarella cheese that overwhelmed the plate– the vegetables and starches on the plate seemed to be poached in olive oil and overall I could only eat about a quarter of the meal. Unfortunately, not what I had expected. Perhaps it was an off night– with that said, the ambiance was pleasant and the waitstaff was nice.

The food and service was excellent. However, it was way to warm to enjoy it. My entire group of friends were sweltering, and we skipped out on dessert simply because we could not stand another minute. I would recommend this resturant to a friend, but would mention there is no air circulation and suggest getting a table near the enterance.

A group of us came here for a co workers birthday lunch and it was delicious. I couldn’t decide on what to get because everything on the menu looked delicious but I ordered the Fettuccine Scampi, the prawns were a good size but I only got 4. My friend ordered the Guazzetto, and I wish I would have gotten that one instead. Although mine was good, the Guazzetto had a creamy sauce, which is the kind i like. The service was very good, they were friendly and checked on us a few times. I would love to come back. It’s a little on the pricey side but you won’t leave disappointed.

I stumbled on this place when trying to find somewhere nice for a lunch. I was definitely not disappointed. The pre-meal bread was OK. I had the Bruschetta appetizer and really enjoyed that too. The salmon I ordered was cooked great and I also was good too. The only thing really keeping this from a 5 for me is the amount of time to get everything to eat. Almost went over my hour for my lunch break. I recommend!

This was probably one of the best Italian food that I have ever had outside of Italy. We had planned on going to a high scale Irish pub and when we got there, they said that they were booked until 9pm, and it was only 7pm. So, we decided to get on our phones and search for another place for dinner. We found Mangia Tutti. It had good reviews and a good rating so we decided to walk the few blocks to get to the restaurant. We walked in and there was only 1 other couple in the place, I thought for sure this was a bad sign and wanted to leave. But, when we walked in the staff was so nice and welcoming so we went in and sat down. We opened the menu to find no pizza on the menu, my boyfriend wanted pizza for dinner. But, what we found was authentic Italian dishes. This was to good to be true given that there was no one in the place. We ordered caprese salad and bruschetta as appetizers. Wow, amazing! I wanted wine and asked to taste the Cab that was sold by the glass, our waiter suggested the Cab from Passo Robles instead and he was right, this was so much better. We had the spaghetti carbonara for our first course and it was absolutely amazing. Not heavy like the carbonara that you get normally. It was so flavorful and light and delicious. The second course that we ordered was the meatballs for my boyfriend and I ordered the Saltimboca. Both were prefect. My Saltimboca was in a light lemon wine sauce w veggies. It was so delicious. The chicken was cooked prefect. The meatballs were delicious as well. This is definitely a hidden gem. The service was prefect and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t regret it!

This restaurant is a little hidden gem. Though if more people knew about it, I probably wouldn’t be able to get a table during lunch. If you are looking for an authentic Italian meal, this is the place to come. You can never go wrong with any of the menu options. And the dessert is great too. I ordered pork chops while my friends ordered pasta — we all loved our meals. The wait staff is great, and you don’t feel rushed. This is also a nice place for groups.

My visit to Mangia Tutti was more of a decision influenced by PMS cravings than a love for Italian food. That may be TMI, but it’s the truth. I couldn’t understand the bad reviews about the service until the end. A man, who hadn’t been serving me, saw that I had my credit card out to pay and he tried to swipe it out of my hand. How rude is that?! I pulled it away from him and towards me, and he, said, «I just want to help him!» in an angry/annoyed tone of voice, and then he reached for it again. That is fine to help my waiter, but bring me the bill first! Never in my life. .. So, he went to get the check and angrily dropped it at my table. Yikes, bad vibes! The food was okay. I’m not a big fan of Italian food or rather, Americanized Italian food, but I saw the restaurant in my recent wanderings, looked up their website, and saw the Gnocci. For some reason gnocci drowned in cheese sauce is just what the doctor ordered today. It was good; however, way too salty for me. I will probably blow up like a balloon, lol. The complimentary bread and sauces were nice. I had the Italian Sangiovese wine, which went down quite nicely. I normally avoid both wheat and sugar, but damn those cravings, they forced me to get some chocolate gelato — nice, but not the nicest I’ve had. Sorry, that’s a lot of «nice’s.» The servers were friendly and helpful, but not professional/first class. I appreciate their effort though. At least they smiled! Would I come back to Mangia Tutti? Probably not. Would I recommend this place? Probably not.

I was taking a friend out for her birthday and I chose Mangia Tutti as(1) I was looking for an Italian restaurant within walking distance of Punchline Comedy Club and(2) I was looking for something away from the overpriced, touristy North Beach area. Walked in here at 730PM on a Saturday night and the place was near empty, with only a few scattered tables. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. Water was poured immediately and a plate of bread was delivered. We had starters of a Caesar salad and the bruschetta, and for entrees, my friend ordered the GNOCCHIALGORGONZOLA and I ordered the ORECCHIETTE. The entrees themselves were good — solid, delicious Italian food. I have to say it was the the bruschetta I most enjoyed — really fresh, juicy tomatoes and perfect flavoring. Very reasonably priced. Entrees less than $ 20/each. Total tab with two apps, two entres, and two glasses of wine with tax under $ 70. You won’t find that in North Beach! No complaints about the service, food, or atmosphere. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, though. I almost feel sorry for them as it’s not located somewhere that probably sees a massive amount of foot traffic.(Maybe they are busier during work hours, as they are located in the Financial District?) All in all a good experience.
