We love coming to AT&T park! Especially when it’s time for tailgating before the Giants baseball games. McCovey Cove parking lots are fairly large and has plenty of room for tailgating. It’s a bit expensive to park here but it’s well worth it. I always feel safe when parking here. The best part of McCovey Coves parking lot(with the exception of the parking spaces by the cove itself) we were pretty much sheltered from the wind. Again, we love parking and tailgating.

I have a 24⁄7 parking permit with them at Lot C, along the wharf. Today, they are attempting to deny parking to lease holders because they have sold out all the spaces to the Giants baseball organization. They don’t honor their leases, CAREFULL!

It’s a parking lot. If it’s open and the price is right, use it. In SF I’m never happy with parking. But I don’t have a nice car and if I drove into the city I has a plan. Read the other reviews. They know better than I do. But I’m just saying, if you’re coming to the city don’t drive if you can help it.

forget all the fluff… its a parking lot. Here’s my issue. Bought tix to SF Giants including parking pass. Parked no issue, attendant scanned barcode as we entered. Came back to car after game and I have a «payment notice’» on my windshield. Says ‘failure to display valid receipt, and did not pay flat rate’. First of all I did pay, 2nd, I have parked there 20 times before, I have never displayed anything, and have never been told to. Its a damn attended lot, you have to pay or give them your pass to get in! So I need to prove I paid, otherwise they threaten to send me to collections. Fake ticket says«no written dispute accepted», must call a toll free number. Message on phone says 2 choices. press one to pay, or press 2 to dispute. Press 2 and you get a message saying experiencing high volume of calls, try back later. Called all hours of day, several days, they’re always experiencing high volume of calls. Probably so, if attempting to rip off all as they did me. Started blasting them on twitter finally got a response and the removed charges. Whole thing was a joke. By the way, you can park closer at indoor garage across the street for same price and it’s closer and easier getting out of.

Convenient lot for where I work. Several issues though: I have monthly parking here and the rate has been raised twice in the last year. On top of raising the rates, they are now ticketing parking pass holders for being parked in the lot past 6pm. WTF?! Yes, the parking passes are technically valid from 6am to 6pm. I was ticketed at 7:36pm. $ 75! My fault for having to work late? I was one of approx. 30 cars in the lot that holds over 1000 cars! So, it is not like I was taking up a spot that could have been used by someone else. I arrived at 7:45pm and saw the Impark car with the guy driving around checking cars. He said it was his job to issue tickets and my pass was only valid to 6pm. Dude, you have a sorry job! Hope you are going to school or something to get a better job. You get minus stars & bad karma! The customer service rep(Dora) at their office nearby is great. She gets 5 stars. She is very helpful & nice.

$ 10 parking was really good on 9÷16÷12 for SF Giants Race. $ 10 to park compared to the $ 20 or $ 30 that is charged for parking in the lots during SF Giants home games was a real bargian as far as I’m concerned. Lot A parks about several thousand cars. Lot A is a lot smaller then lot D, which is right across the street.

Baseball season is almost here, so buy your tickets and plan your sick days. This parking lot is a God send. It is the perfect place to tailgate. We always show up five hours early and find a corner spot to set up our grill and throw down a few beers. The parking is affordable and they provide porta-potties. There are also several bars in walking distance in case you need a night cap before you head home.

i cannot believe i am reviewing a parking lot right now but this ones a good one.. . we park here for the giants games because it is literally right next to the stadium and its one of the only parking lots that you can drink and tailgate in! there is usually a ton of people tailgating and parking in this lot so get here early. .security to keep the bums out which is nice considering it is SF. .port a potty is clean(shocking!) the whole lot is clean for the most part actually, 30 bucks to park so kind of pricey but worth it if you have a large group in one car. .not much more to say, i mean its a parking lot =P

Also known as LOT A Parking Lot. Yes, it is expensive but what do you expect? It is city parking. Don’t like paying a lot for parking in the city, take public transportation. If you go deeper into the city, the price for parking goes up. This is a good place to park if you go to any event at AT&T park. I think this lot is owned by the company IMPARK. The parking attendants are very friendly and very organized when it comes to handling the parking for Giants games.

I don’t know why I keep shelling out $ 30 to park here. Guess I’m too lazy to take Bart/Muni. I’ve tried various ways to not forget where I parked. The best is snapping a photo of my stall number, but that always seems to fail too! Haha! Oh my Giants!

Public Enemy, 5 Stars, i didn’t get to see the whole set because i was at the Paid Dues stage watching Hiero at the time. but i could hear it and Chuck D put it down. hard. Black Star(Mos Def and Talib Kweli), i was at the front of the GA barricade the whole time up to this point and was going crazy, i hadn’t seen Talib live yet. so i was extremely happy to see him perform, Mos was alright too. but i was more blown away when Talib brought out the artists on the Blacksmith Label. Willie McCovey got screwed. Willie Mays(not a nice guy) got a statue that the hordes take pictures in front of and a street named after him. Juan Marichal also got a statue with his foot up in the air near the Giants Dugout. Orlando Cepeda got a bowl of CHACHA and another drug bust. McCovey, the nicest guy you will ever want to meet in your life, got a smelly cove, a dumpy, dirty concrete parking lot, a worthless baseball field and a statue that no one ever visits. It’s like he was banished to Alcatraz. $ 15.00 to park. That’s for those who are blind, dumb and just looking for a quick place to get drunk or tailgate in an always freezing, windy patch of asphalt. Go early and get a free street spot. The best are by the Flower Market. I know, I have season tickets and have searched out where all the prime locations are. Life isn’t fair, not even for good ol’ WillieMac.

Look where this addiction to Unilocal has taken me. Here I am reviewing the big piece of asphalt located adjacent to AT&T Park. Good for me though that I’m not the first to review this site; that could have been taken as a sign of desperation for me to land another FTR. Since there is basically no chance of me ever using the McCovey Cove Parking Lot as the parking lot that it is intended to be, I’ll review this site based on my experience of actually working on the lot. I’ll be honest though; there’s a motive for the timing of this review. For those of you not familiar with my profile I contract event work on the side in addition to my regular job. It all began with producing running events many years ago, but thanks to the thoughtfulness of a couple of really good friends at ESPN I was lucky enough for the opportunity to crack into the world of managing adrenaline-based sports events such as the summer X Games. That in turn got me in the door to staff San Francisco’s own Esurance Icer Air. In 2007, I spent four and a half days getting to know this piece of asphalt known as McCovey Cove. Alongside a core of dedicated events people, many of whom I met in the late 90’s when San Francisco hosted the summer X Games, I helped to transform this empty parking lot into the site of the first-ever Icer Air Sponsors Village complete with a beer garden, a food court, a FMX demo site and a BMX /Skateboard Park. For nearly five days, we erected the set up, managed it, policed it then tore it down and cleaned it up and turned it back into the big piece of asphalt that it is. Having managed an outdoor venue in the parking lot of the Staples Center in Los Angeles I definitely appreciated the groundwork that exists at McCovey Cove. Not only that but the management staff and the security group affiliated with this lot were such a pleasure to work with. Here’s where my motive for this review comes into play. This weekend the McCovey Cove Parking Lot will not only host the 2008 Icer Air Sponsors Village, but the entire event. The big air ramp that had been constructed inside AT&T Park during the past two years will be moved out to the parking lot as well as the outdoor concert stage and spectator bleachers. A construction team along with engineers from Finland and Sweden have already begun constructing the new ski and snowboard jump ramp which will feature a catapult system that propels the athlete onto the ramp. My work begins early on Friday morning. I’m expecting it to be a zoo out there, but I wouldn’t miss this action for anything in the world. For more information on the Esurance Icer Air, you can check out my event listing:

I guess I’ll follow the lead and review the Lot in regards to the Rock The Bells Festival ’07. I’m sure the parking lot is perfectly hospitable… to cars. But to thousands of humans on a hot summer in the city… it’s not cool. Perhaps a 2 – 3 hour concert here could work. But a full day festival didn’t so well. Let’s be frank. You don’t put a festival on asphalt. Also, I agree, I was pretty peeved when I left the show and realized I could have just watched Rage(the reason I went) from the street without paying. Sure, the experience wouldn’t have been as nice. But I could have saved a cool $ 75. All in all: Rock the Bells= 5 stars in McCovey Cove Lot=0 stars

Rock the Bells — 5 stars The parking lot they chose to have the concert — 1 star I’m sorry but this was not the place to have a concert. It would have been better at one of the 3 nearby stadiums(Candlestick, PacBell, or Oakland). Spending a day on hard and hot asphalt is just not for me. The only thing that got me through the day was being hyped to see so many great artists performing. You could have brought your own lawn chair, set up across the street and enjoyed the show for free just as well as anyone who paid $ 76 for a ticket.

Yes, just as the other 3 reviews on here, I decided to review on a damn parking lot because of(insert drumroll here) Rock The Bells! Yes, yes y’all. I was there. And damn, so were thousands of other people. My bodyguard(aka: boyfriend) and I got there sometime after Public Enemy because we drove in and there was traffic up the a$$ on the Bay Bridge, thanks to the 49ers and Raiders game. Parking didn’t take *that* long. Walking up to the parking lot and seeing the sea of people was freaken crazy. I expected a lot of people, but damn, it was almost intimidating when all I saw was a ocean full of people and hearing Flavor Flav in the background. Anyway, the parking lot was already messed up when we got there. meaning garbage cans about to start overflowing and loose trash/smashed food on the pavement. As soon as we walked in, 2 girls walked towards us and stuck their hands in front of my face saying«hi! hi! hi! hello!» and walked away. Uhhh, yeah, they were definitely on something. Now get your hands out my face and move on. Cypress Hill and Wu Tang were cool. The port-o-potty’s were not. OH. MY. GOD. They were freaken disgusting and I’d rather just forget that experience. Luckily, the 2 times that I did pay them a visit, they were on the«clean» side. But there were plenty others that were freaken hell to where guys were coming out of them saying to the girls standing in line«you should not go in there! don’t go in there! that is strictly mens only!!». So yeah, after hearing that, I stopped drinking liquids for the rest of the night. Finally, it got dark… and cold… and my beloved Rage came on. They were the reason for me getting the tickets anyway. And they kicked a$$ and it was so great to see them. LOVEDIT!

Never thought I would watch a show in a parking lot, but hey«never say never», right? They held the multi-stage ROCKTHEBELLS07 here this summer and I totally understand the choice for the location. Where else can you comfortably and safely fit 45K+ peeps in one area for about 12 hours(upon which many of those hours are in party mode) and not destroy a venue or park. Oh and hell ya, the place was trashed at the end(see pics) but nothing a few street sweepers couldn’t handle over night. The pros and cons of watching a show in the parking lot of Pac Bell Park(yes i still call it that, and i still call the other park Candlestick). Dig: Nice views of SF city scape and of the handsome ball park just across the water.(again, see pics) Dig: Easily accessed through public transportation. Whoas: Acoustics not good so you had to position yourself within good range for the speakers. Whoas: No trees=No shade. It was a sun beatdown. Whoas: Parking lot=lot of asphalt. If you wanted to chill and sit down, guess where you had to park your ass(literally)? That’s right, on hard pavement. Not bad overall, it was a good day filled with good entertainment. Show gets 4 stars, venue gets 3. Rock the Bells 07, you get 3.5 total, which is not bad for what some people were negatively expecting.

I never thought I’d be reviewing a parking lot but I guess this place has been more than just that. I’ve been for Giant’s games way back when this was PacBell park when it first opened, and ‘ve been told Cirque Du Soleil sets up camp somewhere around here too. Now I’ve seen Cypress Hill, Wu Tang Clan, Hieroglyphics and Rage Against The Machine here. Pretty diverse for a parking lot. Not the greatest venue, but surprisingly large. Someone was saying it was upwards of 45,000 people here. Since it was outside the acoustics sucked a bit and we were far back enough where the sound and picture were starting to rift on a delay. Rage made up for it with a good solid set but as you can imagine, with all those damn people, it was a pain to get out and it transformed into a huge ass trash pile. So much for being a Green show and such. Definitely know I’m glad not to be part of the cleanup crew here.
