Nice coffee and pretty friendly owner Terry, easy to find and park nearby. They also have various of tea and snacks to choose, it’s my first place to visit when just landed and I feel very satisfied, a worth to have a try again.

Twice I’d been there, both times pleasantly surprised! Nothing fancy, just pure tasty and affordable! I had a cappuccino with a croissant sandwich first time, so fresh and yummy! Mocha + Crumb cakes second time, Some of the best Mocha I’d ever had.

Paid $ 12 for a customized breakfast sandwich that was honestly so-so. I’ve had Rolling Out down the street which in my opinion is tastier and less expensive. In all fairness the person who helped me was nice.

So I’ve been going to Mellows for several months now and is my go-to for coffee here in the Sunset. The main guy there Terry is great and always greets me by name and starts pouring my usual as I walk in. The place is decently sized where you can sit down and enjoy your food and drink or get some studying/reading in. There are also a few tables and chairs outside if you’d like to enjoy the weather(that is, if the weather’s actually decent haha). A definite go to coffee shop but a heads up, weekdays usually around lunchtime and 3ish it can get kinda loud since Lincoln High is just up the block.

My son recommended this place. I wouldn’t have thought of checking it out. this corner has had a series of cafes over the years. Since it’s close to Lincoln, I figured they were catering to lunch breaks and students. Wrong. Went there at noon on a school day. Place was virtually empty. The counter guy was super friendly and efficient. I got a toasted roast beef and a ham and cheese. Order came up quick and was still warm. And freaking delicious, too! Price was 7.50 each. this is likely why the kids are not swarming the place. But worth it, in my opinion. I’ll be back.

Been traversing around SF studying in all its wonderful coffee shops and came here to study one day as it is right by my house. It’s generally pretty empty and tables and outlets are plentiful. I ordered a latte but it tasted pretty average to me and it might have been a slow day or something but it was basically just me and the worker chilling all afternoon which made me feel a little awkward(I am naturally just a very awkward person) so I ended up leaving a little early. Overall, it’s a solid work spot with the basic necessities down(outlet, tables, wifi)

As someone who loves to hole themselves up at cafes to get some work done or even take some time to sit down and read, I’m so glad I found Mellow’s Café! Although the place seems small, I’ve never had an issue finding a table near an outlet. The wi-fi is quick, the pastries and food are yummy(I’ve had their mini cinnamon roll, veggie panini, and iced chai – all delicious!), and the owner is so, so friendly. He makes you feel welcome each time you come in. There are also MUNI lines that stop nearby, and it’s a generally peaceful area of Taraval which I enjoy. It’s mostly metered parking nearby, so if you’re willing to walk, I’d suggest parking by the residential houses. See you next time, Mellow’s!

I was looking for a chill place to study and stumbled upon Mellow’s Café! Terry(the owner) was very friendly and attentive and made the drinks that my boyfriend and I ordered. I got the ice cream latte and it was way better than I expected! My boyfriend got the pour over coffee and enjoyed it very much. There’s no music playing, just the tv is on. If you’re looking for a home-y place to study or chill with a friend, I recommend Mellow’s Café! I definitely will return to try their food!

Seriously one of my favorite cafes near my hood :) service is always amazing!!! They make you feel welcome in there cozy clean space! The drinks, desserts and sandwiches are fresh and yummy! Plus they have a couple tables outside where you can have beautiful views of the ocean on a clear day. Parking is super easy and the muni passes right in front. It’s hard to try new places when everything is perfect about this spot!!!

The ice cream latte was delicious! Great service, but didn’t care too much for the hobo-looking customers outside harassing people walking by.

Awesome local spot with great options. We love to get lazy afternoon breakfast sandwiches there; they have the best all-fruit smoothies and awesome service! This is a great neighborhood small business, super clean(unlike most other options), open Sunday, and never too busy.

Terry is so nice and friendly. The coffee shop is always clean and welcoming. They have much higher quality products than you would typically find at a café. Cheesecakes, pastries, sandwiches and cookies. I think it’s family owned so even better reason to support the business here vs. a major chain. Right next to the L muni line this place is great on your way to work or out and about on a beautiful weekend.

Nice spot to come and get some work done cause it has free Wi-Fi and has a nice view with the Muni running by and a park. I got the dirty chai which is a chai tea with an espresso shot. It really gave me energy to power through my work. The grilled turkey panini was also really delicious as it contained pesto, cheese and onion.

Such a cute café, and letting me use their wifi pretty much all day! their logo is a corgi, and who doesn’t love corgis: D There wasn’t many people, but i’ve only been here in the middle of the week during holiday season. I wanted a croissant but it wasn’t how they usually make it but they made it how i wanted it anyways. and if you’re a fan of lattes, you have to try their mint latte!

We decided to come here for a quick snack before lunch but ended up leaving with a meal. Like an insect drawn to light, I was immediately drawn to the pastries. Coffee Cake– All the pastries were large in size and looked very fresh. I was going back and forth between the coffee cake and chocolate muffin but since I was getting the ice cream latte, I figure the coffee cake would complement the drink Ice Cream Latte– the ice cream added the right amount of sweetness Roast Beef Panini– I LOVE panini’s. The crunch from the bread adds texture to the sandwich. This was probably the best panini I’ve had so far. The food was great and service was excellent. Definitely coming back.

Awesome café! I’m so glad it’s in my neighborhood, looks like I’ll be visiting more often :) I ordered the White Mocha($ 3.95 for a small) and it was delicious– plus the portion was huge! The owner(I think his name is Terry) is very friendly and hospitable too!

This is my favorite coffee shop by my apartment! It’s a small coffeeshop on the corner. Parking isn’t too bad. There are lots of tables inside and it’s usually not that crowded. The coffee is solid. I usually get just black coffee or an Americano(both either iced or hot). Prices are reasonable(~$ 2 – 4) and service is friendly and quick. They’re always SO nice when I come in. Like the transaction to get a cup of coffee takes like 1 minute but within that 1 minute, they somehow manage to be so insanely nice and friendly that it just puts a smile on your face. That’s the kind of service that just warms your heart, ya know? Their pastries are also really tasty! I usually get their coffee streusel and they warm it up for you if you want. It’s so warm and fluffy and ugh carbs, need I say more?

This is a cute little café, and very convenient for the Taraval/McCoppin area. They have a large variety of beverages, including several tea, coffee, chai variations(mochas, lattes, and some more creative drinks as well). The iced coffee is solid — it’s strong, but a little bitter. Other than that the drinks are decent but not fantastic or special. The mocha they use is done with a powder, which tastes a little… powdery. The ice cream latte is a basic latte with a scoop of ice cream(fine, but could use some extra flavor to make it worth the splurge). I’ve also tried their macarons — they fall in-line with the beverages: good, not great. There are plenty of other bakery treats yet to be tasted. I will say that the cookie selection is strong, and at least looks tasty. The selection of bagels, spreads, and bagel sandwiches are actually quite good, and the staff told us they’re hand-picked(from where, I’m not sure) daily. Try a jalapeño-cheddar bagel with bacon and cream cheese — or anything with egg and cheese. Just make sure to ask for no butter if you’re watching that kind of thing… The service has always been great — very friendly, prompt, and communicative. It’s a pleasant place to go and sit, but the food and drinks work just as well for take-away.

I wish this place was in my neighborhood so I could frequent it more often. I stopped by around noon on a Saturday for a coffee and bagel. The cashier was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered a latte and a plain bagel with nutella. yum. The service was excellent, the latte was great. I would definitely recommend!

Mellow’s Café is small with a few tables. menu: panninis, express/coffee, bagels, cake slices, many varieties of pastries(all baked stuff probably outsourced) brew: coffee(m 2.25) –quality brew, smooth, bold, not acidic drips: –excellent service, server asked a few questions to ensure quality service –coffee freshly brewed. –not sure how pannins stacked up to 2 sammie shops nearby. 3.5 stars, 4 stars for coffee, service.

Mello’s is a small café locates at the corner of Taravel and 24th Ave. Convenient location with park across the street. The L line stops right across the street. As a coffee addict, the coffee meets my satisfaction! They also have smoothies, sandwiches, bagels, slice of cakes available for different needs. If I were still in college, this would be my study spot since it is quite and wifi is available. Owner is pretty nice and welcoming! He makes sure customers are pleased with food and drink qualities. Of course, the big boss(owner’s dog) has not yet presented himself to this café yet. Well, he is the one on the logo thought. ;) I will definitely come often to get some work done.
