I’ve been getting my haircut from Myrna ever since(dating myself) high school(I’m in my late 40s). I’ve been through the phases of long hair(80s and 90s) and short hair look(I prefer short now). I can literally go into her shop, sit in the chair and go to sleep. She knows exactly the type of haircut I want and have never been disappointed. My wife and children all get their hair styled by Myrna. Whether it’s a haircut and/or color, you will not be disappointed when you leave her shop.

The only stylist that gave me a complete cut/fade with a set of sheers only =). Never has she pulled out the good ol’ clippers. note: my hair is kept short. Usually w/a #0 along the bottom and #3 up top. Myrna can do this w/just her sheers.

I have been going to Myrna for over 20 years(did I give my age away??) My husband has been, too. She is a true artist. The shop is nothing to brag about, but it’s the haircut that counts, and so what if the fixtures are a bit in need of a facelift? Over time, Myrna has suggested ways for me to style my hair. I don’t like change too much, so I usually make her do what I want. In time, I come around to her suggestion, and realize that she is right on with her advice. The shop is half a block away from Tower Market, on Portola. SF just added metered parking in front, but you can usually park around the corner from the market up the street for free. If it’s the Maiden Lane experience you are looking for, this isn’t the place. If it’s the Maiden Lane haircut and style that you seek, check out Myrna. Her prices are very reasonable and you get someone who doesn’t compromise on time or advice.
