Apartment smelled terrible and service was sub par. An absolute rip off. Do not stay here.

After several months of staying here, would not recommend this place as being of sufficient quality to justify the premium rents they ask for. Positives: Location; Apartments are reasonable; Friendly staff Negatives: Building manager sucks! very unresponsive; poor communication among staff; some aspects of infrastructure are falling apart(elevators frequently stuck; leaky and rusted water pipes)

I wanted to wait until I’d been here a week to update, but the good news is that it’s gotten a lot better. The whole using others’ linens and kitchen utensils still kind of freaks me out, but I think I’m more neurotic than most. I’d recommend buying your own sheets if you’re coming here… I think the thread count for the supplied ones is 7. So what has changed? Probably just my comfort level and familiarity with the place. It’s a great location(a the very Top of Nob Hill), it’s quiet, and yet it’s blocks from a zillion distinct neighborhoods in San Francisco. A 3 – 5 minute walk to Polk, 5 minutes to Russian Hill, 10 minutes to Chinatown(less on the way down, more on the way up!), 10 minutes to Union Square, 15 minutes to North Beach, Wharf area, and about a 30 minute walk to my pilates studio on Union Street in the Marina! The people who work here are really friendly and I definitely now recommend it. Sure– there are things I’d still like to change: tiny parking spaces, spartan kitchen appliances, not-too-new bathrooms, full size bed… but hey, I can definitely live with this temporarily. I checked out other furnished living in the area and Nob Hill Tower seems to be the best deal, biggest, and most updated building. Plus, parking is normally available and especially convenient if you drive a Smart Car or Vespa.
