This place is located right beside the DMV office and they have a pc and printer that people use to print documents they forgot about. I went there to pay $ 2 for a ONE page before going back to the DMV. I accidentally printed the wrong page, returned 2 minutes later, and was a little disappointed that they made me pay $ 2 again. I bought a huge breakfast the first time and they thought it was super funny that I printed the wrong page the first time.

What a gem of a café. It is the perfect little setup for a Sunday of catching up on work and just relaxing with a yummy latte. I came here everyday for a week when I just moved to the neighborhood and didn’t have wifi set up yet(don’t worry, I tipped generously!) I tried many a drinks and had an amazing bagel sandwich. You can’t go wrong. This is the café you wish you had on your street, but could never find. Pop in and see for yourself!

Great for working. A lower haight gem indeed. I like that they don’t annoying music here in an attempt to drive turnover(I’m looking at you Bean There). I wish they were open a bit later.

What a GREAT little café joint located near the Haight across the street from Peets Coffee and DMV. OakSide Café is located on the corner of Oak and Broderick(one block west of Divisadero). This clean and casually arty café plays host to groovy hipsters, day laborers, and middle aged travelers, among others. There are plenty of places in the Lower Haight to break your fast, but some places may also help break your wallet. For those travelers who might be a little cash-conscious after a few days in spend-easy free-wheeling San Francisco, visiting here is a breakfast blessing. I came here on my way to work and was greeted by a lovely worker. I noticed that once I entered there was an upstairs gallery, where you can sit and look down on the little people while enjoying your coffee if that’s your thing. There is also a computer on the lower floor that customers are able to use and not to mention they also have WiFi! **Free** OakSide has bagels from $ 1.29 to $ 3.95; those at the higher end can contain scrambled egg plus bacon, ham or sausage and your choice of cheese, too. Top it off with a good cup of fresh brewed coffee or tea and you’re good to go. I’m technically NOT a coffee drinker so I wouldn’t be able to give any feedback on how that taste but it smells like coffee once entering this place. Lunchtime specialty sandwiches run from $ 5.75 to $ 6.95, but the best deal of all might be the $ 4.95 lunch time special which is composed of a sandwich and a complimentary drink(11:30 — 1:30). These prices compare very favorably to other nearby eating spots. The décor is bright and the place is lined with original art for sale or on permanent display. Other amenities include a computer with Internet($ 1 for ten minutes), a selection of free local papers, and a curio cabinet offering interesting bric-à-brac, curiosities and those free advertising postcards which often make nice souvenirs. Overall, good place to come in the morning if you are looking for a good place to eat and clear your mind. All the times that I have come here it never seems to get busy so long lines are not a big thing here.

not my usual coffee spot but decided to stop in and give it a shot. the coffee was weak and flavorless and served way too hot. I asked for room for milk and the server poured the extra back into the coffee pot from my cup which I thought was strange. will keep walking next time.

I love this place. It’s small, I think it’s locally owned. I can come in, work for a few hours with the free Wi-Fi and have all my meals made here. There are outlets everywhere to use and even additional desk lighting in the darker spaces. It’s awesome. It’s also a great respite from the humdrum of the office.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Oakside yet. This place has basically become my second home. It’s the perfect neighborhood spot — simple menu, great internet speed, always a place to sit and always an outlet available. Judy is also sooo nice! This is a wonderful place. The matcha green tea smoothies are my favorite :-) Update: I just wish they served salads!

I seriously love this place. I come here every day to work(as I work remotely). The internet is free(sometimes spotty though), but the food is well-priced and I absolutely adore Judy that works at the counter. She’s seriously such a doll and always makes it a point to say hello. Customer service is often-times a lost art these days and Judy is one of the main reasons that I keep coming back here. .. Big love for you, Judy! Keep up the amazing work and keep that coffee coming! :) Alex

It is worth mentioning that they offer all kinds of bagels and sandwich combinations you can imagine for a very good price. I would definitely go here again to have breakfast!

Adorable neighborhood spot — the likes of which are becoming more rare in our fair city. Delicious sandwiches, bagels, and a tea collection that would make the Queen weep a silent tear of joy. A perfect place to enjoy a peaceful afternoon tea. Also — staff is quite kind as well.

Excellent bagel breakfast sandwiches and coffee to start your day. The lox is particularly good. Yogurt with fresh fruit for those days when you want something lighter.

Came in here on a Saturday morning and was a great place to break out laptop or read a book. However, I was looking for some strong coffee and this was just mediocre. It had a slightly burnt taste and a little watery. The bagel was standard as well. Nice décor, mediocre food and drink.

This two floor café has a real old feel to it, like it’s been around for years and years. Their menu is typical café stuff. The staff was very friendly and the bathroom had some great art in it. This is definitely a neighborhood spot and not a detour.

Oakside Café is the usual neighborhood coffee shop offering pastries, sammies, bagels, coffee. small, comfy place with a tiny bit of character. brew: peerless coffee(m, 1.85) –tasted a bit harsh, strange for a peerless didn’t mellow out. so 3 star. drips: –service average.
