There is no possible way I could ever explain the gift Dr. Neer has given me by working with me. After 30+ years I was tired of not feeling adequate and not achieving the things I wanted most in life. Working with him over the last 6+ months has been helping me understand myself and realize the reality I have been wanting so badly in life. There really is no amount of praise that could do Dr. Neer’s work justice — all I can say is it has changed my life for the best, and possibly even saved it!

Patrick Neer, PsyD is a gifted and talented therapist. For the past four years I’ve studied with Patrick in a 5+ year advanced training program in psychoanalysis. Through our intensive training together, I’ve gotten to know his heart, mind and work. Patrick is a very sensitive, compassionate and astute clinician. I’m impressed by his calming presence and ability to creatively reach people in ways that are insightful, sincere and useful. I can’t recommend Dr. Neer highly enough. I began seeing him for social anxiety issues a while back. He is insightful, intuitive and kind but direct. He helped my social anxiety tremendously; so much so that I have very few issues with it any more. I found his advice so helpful that I continued to see him on a regular basis for general counseling. Also, I like that his office is comfortable and close to Muni.
