Peet’s Coffee & Tea

Love this place. Coffee always strong and hot.
People are always fast, friendly, and cool!
Definitely my to go place early mournings.

Wonderful service, lots of tables to study or chat at, and a clean environment.
I ordered a tea and muffin and got settled in at a table. Expecting to get my tea after a few minutes, I was pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought my tea to the table and with a smile!
Highly recommend this location over the other ones in the city.

Solid matcha lattes as always, and a reliable place to get work done on a laptop. Lots of tables and seating. On a Thursday evening it was sparsely occupied.

I stop here sometimes around 9am on weekdays. Even when there is a line, service is super quick. Good amount of seating too if you want to hang out.
Peets is better than the Starbucks nearby for 1) service 2) space 3) taste. My go-​to (iced coffee with vanilla syrup) is always delicious at Peets!

Incredibly nice jokey employees and the coffee was great too. Very clean! I will be back!

So, it’s been a while since I published the review below, wanted to give an update. I’m saddened to report that the problems with the flavor and problems with the skimping on pastry sizes is still a MAJOR problem with this location, despite a lot of staff turnover over the years. I don’t have these problems at other Peet’s locations, or when I do it is very rare and not worth writing a review about. Must be a management issue at this location. AVOID this store.

Shout out to the Peet’s customer service team who contacted me and wrote a note with some cards for a replacement drink! I won’t be back to this location much, but I’m at a Peet’s every day! xoxo your loyal Peetnik

Nice location but the WiFi is barely useable. Got a small mocha freddo and it was good. If you need to get work done and need connectivity don’t come here.

I’m a major Peet’s fan and I get a bag of their coffee to make myself every week. I often stop at this one on my way in or out of the city — it’s not far from the rail station. It would help if there were not always construction going on in the vicinity — nevertheless, the coffee is good, there’s free wifi and plenty of space to hang out for a while.

Great coffee and coffee cake. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Wi-​Fi is DEPLORABLE (hoping ppl will get coffee and leave?) to the point Where I loaded gmail in the basic mode.
If service is upgraded I will upgrade this review.

Ryan at this Peet’s is the best! Friendly service, great samples like raspberry matcha smoothie, sandwich and lentil salad with feta.

I work about 2 blocks from here so I go almost daily. As far as Peet’s go this one is average size. It has at least 5 tables to sit at and room for a line without having to stand outside. The coffee and espresso is the same as other Peets, strong just how I like it. The staff have always been nice to me and most know me by name. I believe one of the employees is named Helen and she is very sweet.

Small. Warm. Sugarfree-​Vanilla. Soy Latte.
It’s as simple as that. =)
On cheat days, you might wanna treat yourself to one of those exploding blueberry muffins.

The map is whack. This Peets is across from Whole Foods at 4^th Street & Harrison. Hit or miss with friendly service. You will always find at least 3 CHP officers here at all times. None look like Ponch.

I like peets but this location, the somewhat blonde guy who has a short attention span shouldn’t be taking orders.
My visit goes:
One petite lemon scone and a large cup of jasmine tea, tea bags on side.
Now every peets I go to, even the one that’s not a full peets (eg Bart station or Bristol farms in sfc) knows what I’m talking about.
The place was empty when I went in, after getting my scone normally he would be getting my hot water and fishing the two tea bags out of the box.
Nope, some people came in and he went and took their orders
Okay
I wait until the two people have been rung up before I approach and he’s still doing his own little thing; clearly has forgotten about my drink order.
He finally spots me and apologizes, okay we are fine again.
He asks me if I wanted a large or medium, perhaps I should have said my whole order again based on the limited experience I’ve had with him so far but he’s already making the drink and who knows, could have remembered, it’s only been a few minutes
He comes to me with the drink and both tea bags inside, now the reason behind my drink order is because I usually like one in and then when I refill later with my own hot water, I will use the second bag, two at once is a bit strong for me. I could have said one in and one out but that’s more work for the barista and its easier if I just have two on the side, makes their work a bit faster
Me: Um, I wanted the tea bags on side?
He, swipes the drink back and was rude for a) forgetting my drink in the first place, 2) when prompted forgot what size, 3) still made it wrong and 4) probably the reason I took time out of my life to write this was RUDE for a mistake HE made
It’s not like I asked for some complicated drink, I don’t even venture to guess how many pumps, or tempature must be extra hot, foam less or foam on top.
It’s hot water in a large cup with tea bags you fish outta box, simple as that
Boy do I regret tipping him 33%, but I hate carrying change and didn’t have .10 to make it a even dollar #firstworldproblems

I try to come in only once a week as buying coffee adds up! However, Peet’s, you are always here when I need you.
Your coffee gives me strength and energy to work with my students. Your tables allow me to prepare for my activities, and your menu allows me to have any coffee based drink that I could possibly want.
Your staff is friendly and always greets me with a smile :)
However, on Mondays you are always busy around 1pm and have no tables for me which makes me sad. It’s okay, Tuesdays and Wednesdays work out better for me anyway.
Right now all the pumpkin products are in! I love autumn!
