I loved hearing that Cinder worked with«reluctant exercisers»! Her attitude toward folks who don’t fit the typical mold of those who work out is not just«non judgmental»…she really affirms her clients in meaningful and useful ways. The value of small steps was something I had not really considered in the realm of exercise… so her coaching has made a huge difference in my life!

Cinder is a unique and terrific coach. She listens. She comes up with creative suggestions and adapts exercises to meet your needs. She emphasizes«small steps» throughout the process, so you are not overwhelmed … so it’s actually feasible!(On a personal note, she has an adorable dog and a great sense of humor — and she loves boxing and motorcycle riding. Those are all pluses in my book.) If you are looking for a drill sergeant, look elsewhere. That is not her style, thank goodness. But if you want a reasonable, friendly approach to your fitness goals, I can’t recommend Cinder enough! She is fantastic!

«She helps fat chicks with bad knees.» That was enough recommendation for me! Cinder understands not only anatomy but the psychological resistances we have to exercise. The movements she suggests are gentle, easily incorporated into your daily life, and do-able even while sitting in meetings or on a plane. These small movements are the missing link in most exercise regimes. They strengthen those weak points that make walking, taking stairs, or getting up and down painful and awkward. Do check Cinder out, especially if your medical professional has given you the old«you just need to lose a few pounds» routine.

Before I met Cinder I was struggling with fitness. I was 60, tired, too heavy and depressed. I felt I’d never get back to the gym both to tone up and feel and look better. My lack of strength and stamina was having a negative impact on my business, my relationships and even my dog. Since I started with Cinder I am walking most days, I’ve lost 20 lbs and I feel like I can do this, one day at a time, for the rest of my life. I’m just plain happy with my exercise plan and I love the time I get to spend with Cinder.

When I turned 50 I realized that my 80 year old mother was in better shape than me. I didn’t want to exercise, I didn’t want to sweat and I couldn’t imagine joining a gym, but I knew I had to do something. Then I found Cinder. Cinder was the perfect trainer for me because she met me where I was. Little by little she has helped me find and stay on an appropriate and effective fitness path. Currently I am working out consistently, my blood pressure has dropped, my blood sugar remains within safe boundaries, my knees and feet feel much better and my legs are so much stronger I can walk with ease and live my life fully.

Turned off by «no pain, no gain» or yet another weight loss promise? Cinder is the antidote! Working with Cinder is a game changer. I am a reluctant exerciser, but know that exercise(or «joyful movement» as I prefer to phrase it) is the best chance I have to get free from pain and regain mobility. Cinder meets me where I am, physically and mentally. She encourages me to keep my goals manageable and incremental. Where most trainers would say, «You think you should do 10 reps? Try 20!»… Cinder says, «Try 5.» She’s all about making tiny promises to yourself — and then ACTUALLYKEEPINGYOURPROMISE. She’s careful to keep you making your promise tiny enough that you won’t burn out or hurt yourself, and then slowly making it bigger and bigger as your body wants it.

To say that Cinder saved my life is a bit dramatic, but my quality of life improved tremendously after she suggested some very simple easy exercises. She is knowledgeable, compassionate and you can’t ask for anyone better to be in your corner. She also has a great sense and humor and energy.

Cinder started as my trainer and has become a trusted friend. You cannot do better than work with Cinder. She will make it work via phone, meetings, Facebook. You name it and she can find a way to support you. They key is to break down the big challenges we have for fitness into small goals which we can manage. Take the first step and reach out to Cinder!

Cinder knows how to help anyone, no matter what your weight, age or body type is, she can help you reach your goals, long term and short term. Cinder’s approach to heath and physical fitness is fun! I always leave a session with her feeling better than when I started and I always look forward to working out under her guidance. I have also taken advantage of her coaching programs… fabulous…well worth the time and investment.

I’ve been training with Cinder for… how many years??? Yes, over 15 years. I wanted someone who was not going to be judgemental about size(I’m fat) but would encourage me and provide the kind of fitness training that would be good for my health and well-being. Sounds impossible? not for Cinder. she always has a positive attitude that envelopes me, even when I’m in the dumps. My favorite is when she«fluffs» up my mood. It works! With her help, I have built up my body strength and try and meet with her at least 3 times a week. She works with me and helping me to strengthen my body(and soul). My upper body strength is amazing and I’m doing a lot of work on my knees and legs, too. Highly recommend her!

I have been training with Cinder for about 10 years. She was recommended to my by my chiropractor. Cinder is wonderful she has clients of all ages and sizes and validates everyone for who they are. Cinder is the most positve person I know and although she does not«Life Coach» those she trains… she is certainly there for you . As a personal trainer, you get pushed but not hurt. She has many techniques that take care of the«aches and pains of the week» so you always leave feeling better than when you came in. She helped me rehab a knee that I was told needed to be replaced… it did not and it does not hurt any more. Cinder customizes her workouts to her clients and is always aware of what the client needs and is capable of doing. Over the years I have seen trainers push their clients very hard and often these people stop coming after awhile. Cinder’s clients stay with her for a long time because it is such a positive experioence in very many ways. I never thought I would be the one who missed not going to the gym. It’s Cinder’s fault.

Cinder has been my trainer for about a year, and brings so much positivity and joy into my life, that I really look forward to my workouts. Love and humor seem to burst from all of her pores. She has supported me through some hard transitions in my life, and even though she isn’t my life coach per se, I have certainly benefited from her wisdom and encouragement.
