This is one of the best nail shops around. The ladies who work here are all very good. I do not wax so this is only for mani pedis. I have been a client for 7 years. Even though I have moved out of the neighborhood I continue to get my nails done here. The manicure lasts longer than any other place I have tried.

Possibly, no definitely the worst manicure I’ve ever had and I’ve been getting manicures every two weeks at various salons for the last 15 years! The technician basically cut my finger while trying to trim my cuticles and now I’m completely freaked out about possible infections and my finger hurts so much! To top it all off after I left the salon I noticed she didn’t properly remove all of my old polish! I refuse to go back though to get it fixed! I will never ever go back there again!!!

To be honest, I’m not sure why everybody loves this place so much. I am generously giving 2 stars because they were on time and it seemed clean. The pedicure however was blah. I mean, if you are going to wear gloves during the massage, have the decency not to run out if lotion. Ouch! The décor is also very sterile and un-welcoming. I will try Nail Pretty next time.

This 1 star rating is not based on the mani pedis they do at this salon but rather the waxing. I went in to get a brazillian wax so i could get ready for my vacation to puerto rico. It hurt(i bet thats reeeeeaaal surprising) but more so than usual! The wax was faaar too hot and skin ended up coming off! :(it hurt for almost a week and took even longer to fully heal! Will not be coming here again i would rather pay a heftier price at benefit and get it done properly.

I’m trying to live frugally. I have issues with this as most of my friends know all too well. I enjoy the finer things in life. Good food, good wine, lots of pampering. You know, the standard stuff. My biz partner and I decided to hit up her(sort of) local nail salon in search of some much needed relaxation at a cheap price. $ 28 to be exact. CRAZY cheap as far as I was concerned, especially for a rub down on my pretty little hands and feet. I should’ve known better. Yep, once again… I got cut. Big time. Ouchy. No feel good. Toe hurts. Toe burns. Toe really hurts when I try to do lunges during bootcamp. Toe requests doctors visit and must have special toe ointments and soaks 2x per day. The worst part of the story is that I’ve had it happen before and for some reason, like the masochist that I am, I like to get«burned» multiple times(with permanent scars to prove it), before I learn my lesson. This time, lesson learned! Don’t let people try to perform«surgery» on you with their pedicure tools. Don’t let them try to dig out your toenail, pull off your cuticles or whatever else they’re into. Don’t do it unless you know them and trust them implicitly. The girl didn’t mean any harm, but damn she was clueless. Luckily the salon has been more than helpful(reimbursed me for the mani/pedi and paid for my doctor visit — hence the 2 stars). And by the way, the ladies who own this place, also own the one across the street called Laurel Heights Nail Salon. That one has gotten shitty reviews while this one has received rave reviews. They’re the SAMETHING people. No difference. Don’t be fooled. It was clean and all that, but it goes without saying that I will not be going back. No more chop shops for me. I swear. No. I pinky toe swear(while I’ve still got it).

Perfect TEN! $ 10 for 10 perfect nails done in about 20 minutes(10×2)! $ 10 for a 10 minute shoulder massage during manicure helps easy TENder neck/shoulder knots that TENd to form after a stressful week, which happens OfTEN. A quick fix for when you are feeling TENse!

This place is wonderful! I decided to visit them based on the theory that anything that can make it this close to all the fancy dancy Sacramento Street Shops must be okay and I was right. A Mani-Pedi will set you back about $ 25, but this is the first(and only) place I have ever been where my manicure will last over a week. I tend to use my hands a lot and generally have chipped something(even from a more expensive salon) within several hours. Not the case with the wonderful ladies at Presidio Heights. Another thing that I appreciate(that some may find a negative) is that your feet soak in a plastic wrapped bowl — everything is completely sanitary, which relaxes me. They have a pretty good selection of OPI and ESSIE polishes and additional services, such as a massage or scrub. I’ve also noticed quite a few women getting their brows done, but I’ve never indulged.

One of the first things I discovered when I moved to san Francisco was the cheap-ass Mani Pedi. I’ve since gone to a ton of the little shops and met with the good, the bad, and the«holy shit I don’t remember asking you to make each of my nails a different shape and cut my cuticles back to my knuckle?!» For the last two years I’ve been going here and love it. They are pretty much the same as all the rest, but have a couple little spa touches — lemons in the water, nicer lotion, foot scrubs etc. But really and truly, the bomb. the thing that keeps me coming back every two weeks like clockwork. Lyn and her back massage. After she does an amazing job on my toes, while the paint dries she takes me in the back room for a neck and shoulder massage. 10 minutes of heaven. She is tiny, but has the strongest hands ever. It’s not the relaxing aroma therapy, begin and end to the chime of a bell, clear your aura kind of massage, nor the let me rub this lotion into your shoulders for 10 minutes while talking to the girl next to you kind I expect at the nail salon. This is a get in, grab those stress out, hard as rock shoulder muscles and wrestle them into submission. $ 10 bucks later(yup, a buck a minute!) I leave with shiny toes and bruised, but once again mobile, shoulders. I love her.
