Wow, what a lovely surprise! Stumbled upon this gem while talking a short walk break from work. Pete, the owner, was nice enough to show me around. Completely unassuming storefront that opens up to a gourmand’s dream of a deli. The «cheese cave» is astounding. The patio in the rear is a quiet sanctuary from Gough, an otherwise very busy street. Can’t wait to come back to try the deli sandwiches and cheese tray. Pete showed me his shipment of French cookies and candies just in. Tres délicieuse!

This place is an absolute gem. Incredible selection of unique and delicious wine, cheese and charcuterie bites. The owners are incredibly knowledgable but also very friendly and down to earth. The shop also has a hidden back patio area where you can enjoy your wine and cheese on the spot if you like — it’s perfect for date nights.

This place is a hidden gem!!! Love Love Love all the cheese and wine selection. Pete the owner is so nice and he knows everything there is to know about cheese! He carries seasonal items as well such as truffles, foie gras, different cheeses that you cannot find anywhere else! They also make made to order gift baskets if u want! The best part is there is a back patio you could sit down and order a cheese or meat plate and have a glass of wine! Bring your Friends for happy hour! Great ambience and friendly place!

Got sidetracked and discovered this awesome patisserie with a rustic dining patio on the way to gym. So much for working out.
This place is amazing. In addition to an incredible selection of take-​home imported and locally produced goodies, this place also has a walk-​in refrigerated cheese section with a tasting section where you could sample cheeses from all parts of the world before you purchase a block. And, to top it off, the staff was so friendly and helpful… and my lunch was delicious. Cannot wait to try my blackberry/​poppy flower and blueberry/​lemon Peel jams for breakfast tomorrow…

Raxakoul wine and cheese is my go-​to spot for party trays, wine, gift baskets, etc! Any time I have an office party, I order a couple party trays from them. They are always on point and have the best selections! They are friendly and work with your budget. I’ve also been there to hang out in their back patio with friends. I love love love this place and am happy they are here!

They took over from the previous (French) owners and have expanded their cheese selection to include cheeses from the US and other (non-​French places. THey are my go-​to place in Hayes Valley for cheeses, pates, mousses, wines, etc., etc. The new owners have a couple of other cheese shops in the East Bay. I highly recommend the places.
