Good beer, has a dive sense of mind. Large, I mean Large selection for Rogue and craft brews. Be better if the bar keeps could give better knowledge of them tho. All good tho!

As a visitor to SF this place was awesome to get something to eat and drink good beer. Loved it. The bathrooms are a tad dirty but not overly disgusting.

Have drunk and eaten here a couple of times. The food is pretty good and, from what I’ve heard, so is the beer. I don’t drink beer(unlike my friends) and unfortunately the wine is pretty chronic(which is why I knocked a star off). I know it’s a beer place, but not absolutely everyone in a party drinks beer and it’s nice to have a nice alternative.

After doing a morning session of sightseeing and cable car riding, we were definitely ready to knock back a few beers at the Rogues Public House. Surprisingly, not a single sole was in the place at noon on a Thursday. Sat at the bar and had a few delicious pints starting with an IPA and then the Dead Guy Ale. Great Rogue draft beer selection. We didn’t eat but would be back!

Checked this place out on Saturday. Tried a flight of beers, as I wasn’t really sure what to expect based on their names alone. My favorites of the night were the Bad Ass Bier de Garde and the Peanut Butter Stout — which surprised me, as I don’t usually like stouts… reminded me of a nutty coffee. It was pretty tasty. The least exciting thing I tried was the Fruit Salad Cidre — it reminded me of a watered down plum wine. Definitely would avoid this one. We also tried out some small bites — the pretzels and fried cheese curds. The pretzels were tasty — almost a pretzel breadstick — and came with mustard and cheese for dipping. The only thing I would have changed was to put probably half the salt on them. I guess the added salt keeps people drinking, though. :) The fried cheese curds were surprisingly yummy. All in all, a good experience.

Good beer garden and they were cool to let me have my birthday there one year. Does anyone know the dwarf that hangs out there?

If you are looking for a pampered dining experience, go somewhere else. If you are looking for a local place that serves the BEST beer and has great food to go with it, all without paying the SF price, come here. The service is standard and it can get loud, but they are friendly and keep the goods coming. What else do you want? Cheers!

Great spot! Their flights are reasonably priced and there’s a nice variety of beers for you to pick and choose from. I loved one of their brown ales. Our server was really sweet and suggested things which was cool too. The spot is not huge, and it’s far from fancy. So it’s more of a legit beer spot, then one of those snobby fake craft beer type places. if ya know what I’m saying. I saw a large group of 20 somethings that looked hammered on a Sat afternoon so I can see how this place would be a fun day drinking spot.

Review for sitting in the back patio, 75 degree weather! So nice it was 2p on a Saturday and no issue getting a table in the back all by ourselves, in the shade! Everyone was still probably eating lunch and watching a Warriors game. Had 3 beers total for the 2 of us, bill was $ 21. We’ll be back when the weather is nice again.

Rogue has an backyard patio, which was a great place as it was still sunny out. And the waiter came out and took our orders after we got beers from the bar. That was lovely. We ordered a beer taster, beer, and clam chowder, Kimchi fries, and chili. The«famous» clam chowder was the blandest thing I have ever tasted. How does cream, bacon, and clams taste like nothing? A menu lie. The kimchi fries were really cheese and bacon fries with diced kimchi sparingly sprinkled. I felt this was a huge mislead, another menu lie. The chili was legit. There beer taster was reasonable and we could choose any beer! Their drinks were reasonably priced. I enjoyed the non Rogue beers much more than their choices,

Is it weird to suggest coming for the food instead of the beer? Rogue makes my absolute favorite beer, the Hazelnut Brown Nectar. Having spent the last 4 years in Mississippi, Rogue beers were few and far between. I didn’t really have much of a context for what their larger offerings tasted like, but I knew I absolutely had to make my way into the city to find this place and to sample as many of their beers as I could. I had 8 of their samplers and I wasn’t really impressed with any of them. They have a diverse portfolio, from mead to pear cider, but only one of their IPAs was what I would consider great. The real highlight was the Rogue Soseji Sampler. It came with two bleu cheese/legit Kobe beef-mixed meat balls which were mind-blowing, a Kobe beef sausage which made me hate all other beef, decent chorizo sausage, and an okay Kobe slider(Which was honestly kind of a waste of the Kobe). This is probably the cheapest you’ll ever get to experience Kobe beef and the asking price is well worth it. I would just suggest you watch out for what beers you pair it with.

If only there was a zero star rating. I am local to the neighborhood. We tried to eat at Rogue this afternoon… after waiting 35 minutes(no exaggeration) no waiter stops… no water… no nothing. I was feeling mellow and polite… finally went to the wait station and said pleasantly«hi…we have been here 35 minutes and no one will serve us… can someone help?». The young man looked at me and said«I CANNOTSERVEYOU. WEGOTTOOBUSYAND I ONLYHAVEONEOTHERSERVER. GOTOTHEBAR». I smiled and we left. I sat down to write this Unilocal review and I found a food safety warning attached to the business. Glad we didn’t get served!!!

So I wish my buddies and I stayed here a little longer, because I didn’t get much of a bar scene, but my brief experience here was satisfying, and not bad at all. Stopped by this bar while waiting for a pizza order to be ready down the street, and noticed their extensive beer menu. What’s cool is that all the alcohol percentage is written, so one will know what’s strong, and what’s not. Unfortunately, I had drank too much the night before, and opted to stay with my trustee beer, Hef. Yeah, it wasn’t one off the menu, nor was it store brewed, but I still enjoyed my time there. My two buddies had some really strong beer. They sure were slightly buzzed but I got a good laugh out of it. Overall grade: A

Exactly what you would expect. Great neighborhood bar to get yourself lost in for hours with your friends or chill at the bar and have a great beer watching the game. It’s rogue, so let’s be honest the beer selection is going to be great! They have a little bit of everything so everyone should be happy. I was very pleased with the food options and everything tasted great. We got burgers, appetizers and sides, everything was good! Our server was Kayla and she did a wonderful job! She greeted us when we first walked in and we definitely kept her busy running back and forth to the bar. But every time she greeted us with a smile and was happy to help!

Empty around noon on a weekday. We were exploring the city, and just stopped in to try a few of rogues beers. They had a ton of varieties available on tap or in bottles, including some guest taps. We settled on a blackberry mead, a rogue porter, and a sour from the Bruery, not available on the the market in the Midwest. All the service was at the bar, so we took a table perused the menu and then went up to order. Really laid back atmosphere. The beers were a bit pricey but it was nice to try items we can get it home. Didn’t try the food… But the Unilocal tie-in to the health inspection rating showed that they didn’t get a very good mark, so we were happy with our choice.

This place is a diamond in Washington Square. The reason why I love this place is because they sell good craft beer. The Rouge Public House offers a wide selection of their craft beer with many rotating guest handles. They even had a couple handles from my favorite breweries in Southern California: Stone Brewery and Green Flash Brewery; because I’m an Arrogant Bastard that likes to get his Palate Wrecked(pun intended…). The baby was taking a nap in her stroller so we decided to grab a table outside and have a drink… wait a couple drinks… I mean a few… okay several. :) BTW my wife doesn’t drink; she had iced tea the whole time, so it’s not like we’re bad parents… okay maybe one is questionable… ;) j/k. This place has restaurant seating inside and a beer garden in the back. How they managed to get all that space in the middle San Francisco is beyond me. Pretty relaxing atmosphere with a great bartender who was on the top of his game. Had a really great time here and it was a great way to spend a couple hours resting from those long walks in the city. Keep in mind they serve food here and if it’s anything like the Rouge Public House in Portland, the food was awesome. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that Rouge now distills so give their stuff a try, they sell it here! Cheers all!

I’m a huge fan of Rogue and when I found out they had a location in San Francisco, I made sure to stop here during my visit. Rogue Ales is located in North Beach about half a block up on Union from Columbus. I didn’t try the food here as North Beach has a lot of great restaurants and I stopped here after having dinner. They have a huge selection of beers served on tap or bottle. They also have guest beers on tap, but I many stuck with the Rogue branding. I started with the dead guy, which is always an easy nice drink. Followed by the ménage frog trippel, brown pour and loaded with flavors. I topped off the night with the double chocolate stout… simply amazing. On the day that I went, the bartender was very friendly, provided great service, and made recommendations based on my taste. I can’t say the same for the other wait staff. They weren’t that friendly when I simply asked a question. This would have been a four star review had the entire waiting staff been friendly.

I really hate we went to Rogue in San Francisco instead of waiting until we arrive in Oregon, but we were thirsty and needed a snack. The Chipotle Ale was perfection and my boyfriend’s 7 Hop were the boost we needed to get through our super tourist day in the city. We aren’t used to following the beaten path so we channeled the rogue in us. The patio is lovely, quaintly nestled in an alley covered with bird spikes and picnic tables. A glance into the kitchen, and trip to the back bathroom revealed a disgusting mess, but the crab sliders spoke differently. My biggest regret in visiting was to not bring home a box of Sriracha Stout. Overall, cool. Just plain good.

A decent tap room to stop by to give all of Rogue’s brews a taste. We stopped in midday so it wasn’t busy at all, and the server was prompt. There are plenty of tables and interesting beer décor to look around at. Food was alright. We got an order of tater tots to munch on, and our friends got some chili cheese fries. Everything tasted pretty mediocre, but we weren’t there for the food anyway. My only concern was the single bathroom, which was falling apart and required somewhat of a wait for everyone.
