My heart broke a little when I heard this place closed. It is the spot of many college memories. Luckily, I heard that the previous bartenders are reopening this spot up! *crosses fingers* This is where soju devirginized me, and since then, soju drinks are my best friend and my worst enemy. RIP and good luck with the reopening– I will DEFINITELY be back to check the new spot out.

I am a fan and always will be, however, it does look like Rohan is closed for good. Went this Saturday and saw the«Business is Closed» sign printed on a cheapy sheet of white paper. RIP Rohan Lounge. I’ll miss you!

Went here awhile back and just forgot to write a review. This place is pretty chill the vibe is okay but the food was awesome! Come on a wednesday half price on drinks and appetizers! Went here with two of my friends and so we all shared calamaries, salmon egg rolls, and i forgot the other one lol sorry guys! You should also try the lychee martini which was a hit in my book!

I’ve passed by this place a million times, but never had a chance to try it until several weeks ago. FOOD: *Salmon Spring Rolls: Good – salmon was not overcooked which was a good sign. The miso sauce was a perfect compliment to the crisp roll. *Pork Bul Go Gi: YUMMY – the pork was well seasoned and cooked. I liked the fact that they provided lettuce in addition to rice(good for those watching their carbs like myself). *Ginger Chicken: YUMMY – chicken was flavorful and not dry. Couldn’t really taste the ginger though. DRINKS: I tried several of their Soju cocktails(can’t remember the exact name): one was blue punch and the other like a lemon drop. Ummm — it tasted like sugar water and where’s the alcohol – YUCK! To counteract the sweetness, I had to order 2 separate shots of soju on its own. Go Figure! :X AMBIANCE: Dark and very loungy vibe to it. Mixed crowd. The music was good: R&B, Hip-Hop, and a little Pop – Thank God! Overall, good place for apps and drinks(shots only, and NOT the cocktails) on a Fri/Sat night!

it’s been a while since I last wrote a review about this place. During that time I’ve returned to Rohan numerous times to curb the craving for their lethal lychee soju. No waiting in line for the meatheaded bouncer to grow a heart, no skankily dressed ladies cutting in line and getting in without having to wait, and of course, no sweaty bodies bumping against you as you make your way to the bar. I’m getting too old for that scene anyway.

Came here with a large group for the ½ off apps and $ 4 cocktails a couple of wednesdays ago. Loved the music and the décor of the place. Would say that this probably isn’t ideal for a group bigger than 10 but we all still had fun here. Had the Happy Family cocktail and it was really good. Ordered the calimari and the salmon rolls and both filled me up which was surprising because I am a pretty big eater. I’d recommend this place on wednesdays for their specials but maybe not when it’s crazy crowded since the place isn’t that big.

Boring. Lousy. Lounge. The only good memory of Rohan I have was the company I was with that night. Rohan is that loungy bar that never really decided if it wanted to be a bar, a restaurant, or a lounge. Unfortunate, because while the red interior décor and dim lighting offers a swanky feel, the suave-less servers, tasteless drinks, and boring entrees make you feel as though you were in something of a dive bar. What’s more, everything is overpriced, and as mentioned, the service is extremely lacking. The place is hardly packed, but even when people are there, little energy fills the room.

This place is really good. Although it is kinda small, it is never busy/packed so it isn’t a problem. It is very nice inside and has a dim romantic lighting feel to it. I ordered the Korean BBQ, which was delicious! And their drinks are just as good. A couple cons are the food and drink prices are a bit much and the servers really need to be more attentive. There’s no dress code or cover and this place closes pretty early.

I’m finally ready to update this place with a higher rating. I *was* pretty pissed off that one time I went and the barback/bartender/whoever the f he was was clueless and rude, but that was almost two years ago, and the manager, John(not sure if he still is), was cool enough to apologize on his behalf on a subsequent visit. Since then, I’ve been to Rohan a handful of times more(which is easy for me to do since it’s a quick walk from my house), and truthfully, I’ve all but forgotten about the incident. While the Inner Richmond is well-versed in its ethnic restaurants and Irish bars, it probably lacks in businesses on the hip-to-swanky level(which isn’t a bad thing, necessarily). So if there are any classy night spots in the area, Rohan is it. It’s pretty much the quintessential version of what I’d like a lounge to be – you’ve got your comfy crimson booths, your tealit candles, your ambient music, and your fresh soju cocktails. I’m a sucker for sexy(even if soju does make my cheeks turn red). I enjoy coming here after dinner in the hood for a drink or two with a girlfriend(as we bitch about boys) or a boy friend(as I bitch to myself how that tiny space between the«y» and the«f» makes such a difference). *Sigh*. It’s just that this place is so darn sexy… and, especially after a couple rounds of soju cocktails, it kind of makes you wish he weren’t just a friend, ya know? Rohan, you are officially redeemed. Even if you can’t get me laid.

This may just be our go-to kick it place when we run out of ideas. We never have trouble seating our large group, and surprisingly, we never come up short on our bills. Knowing the owner actually isn’t that good of a thing, as my friend experienced. She was very adamant about not drinking that night, but he seems to just love shoving alcohol in her face, like a challenge. The food’s good too, but that’s probably us being drunk and needing sodium in our body to soak up all the soju. They have strong, very strong cocktails.

Excellent soju cocktails; the best in this entire freaking city! My favorite is the k-krush…made by the Knights of Rohan behind the bar. We were able to make reservations for 12 people no problem 2 days in advance. Finally got to try the food… not bad for lounge/bar food. We ordered the chicken wings(very flavorful and juicy), korean veggie pancakes(dip lighty in the sauce… very salty), calamari(batter was a bit too milky for me…), and the bibimbop(kinda confused… it was served on a plate with rice and spicy pork… lettuce wraps, garlic slices, and hot pepper slices… I thought I ordered bibimbop??) My fav. was def the chicken wings. Great place to chill with good people and great drinks in a comfortable, yet fun environment. Minus 1-star b/c the drink menu stated it had Miller Lite but apparently it was a typo. Uhh… what? Wait… really? The bartender just shook his head and said«it’s not my fault… it’s the owner who did it!!» I liked our bartender with the tiara(it was Halloween)…he was spunky and sarcastic :) If you’re looking for a nice, filling meal, I would suggest going elsewhere. Stick with soju cocktails.

Been to Rohan twice and not once did it failed me. All their cocktails consist of soju, but you can’t really taste the soju in the drinks. This place is dim but bright enough to see. They play pretty good music also… well, I like R&B and Pop, and they were playing that on a Friday night. They have specials on weekdays like $ 4 on all $ 7 drinks on Thursday and such. I haven’t try the food there yet, but would definitely go back and try some, along with more drinks of course!

I love the ambiance – the dim lighting, the candles at the tables, the soft red seats, the music. This place is very nice & even the bathroom is super clean! The only thing I don’t like is the size of this place, it is kinda small & the walkway between the booths and the bar is pretty narrow. Anyways, it’s all about the drinks! I LOVE the watermelon sojutini; it’s just soju & watermelon juice but tastes sooo good, I try to get it everytime I go. The Happy Family is also good. K Crush is also a nice fruity drink. Unlike everyone else who’s had it on here, I did not like the Lychee Sojufusion, maybe because it wasn’t as fruity tasting to me as the other drinks? The Superfly can be pretty strong depending on who’s making it that nite(it’s their version of an AMF). For those not feeling the mixed drinks you can always do a k bomb. I haven’t eaten any of the food there but I heard their chocolate cake, shrimp & calamari are hella good. The place is mostly Asians but on some nights I’ve seen a little more diversity. I’ve been on Friday nights and on a Saturday night. Most of the times it has been packed, so expect a little wait if you want a table.

SOJUVIRGIN has officially been devirginized. I’ve dropped in on this place a few times. Have enjoyed my visits. My first impression of this place was«dang it’s small, dark, and cute». I was expecting«only Korean crowd» but was happily in a mix crowd of people. I didnt know what ‘soju bar’ was and expected hard liquor to be served. The first time I came here I was introduced to Soju. One of my guy friends with us was Korean so he know what was the good soju or the soju i’d like. I had some(not so) tasty Soju, some went down rought and some went down easily. Good stuff though, does the job! Came here a few more times after that and had the same experience. My girlfriends from LA were coming to visit and they wanted to go to something they haven’t been to. I took them to Rohan to get some Soju. I’ve ordered many dished from the lounge menu but haven’t yet ate dinner here. So we decided to order off the of the entrée menu. Anything listed under the KOREANGRILL section is OFF the hook. I tried to match the Soju that tasted really good but ended up ordering the wrong one and it was like drinking rubbing alcohol. But still did the job. But I enjoy coming here from time to time to be loosed up by Soju. Devirginize me please!

Seats are very limited here! This is a small lounge with very dim lighting. Each table has one small candle and the lights on the ceiling are very dim. It sets the atmosphere pretty well though — sit, drink, and chill. I ordered the K-Krush(tasted good too) and the bartender made it quick and seemed like he tossed my cup towards me on the counter. That just spilled my drink everywhere on the counter. He gently placed my other friends’ drinks down except mine. Oh well. More cleaning for him I guess.

The last time I had soju was about five years ago in this dive in Gardena. I remember downing a carafe of yogurt soju because I was playing wingwoman and couldn’t stand the guy’s friend that I was supposed to keep company. I spent the entire night doing shots and defending Chinese gold digger stereotypes to this loser. Fast forward a few years to last Saturday at RoHan. I was in SF for the weekend and after a dinner with some friends, we split up and Dave took me to RoHan since we had dinner at Spices II and it was just a few blocks away. This bar is the type of bar that I would want to have in my house. Relaxing, small, and the demographic was just right and I didn’t feel like I was going to get shot like you do at some places in LA. It was a little early, probably around 8:30, and we hung out there until about 11. John, the manager/bartender, was attentive and nice and kept refilling my water glass since I was trying to equalize my alcohol/water intake. Most drinks were $ 6, which is cheap compared to what we have to deal with in LA, since most of the time you can’t even get a bottle of water for $ 6. I had the Confucius, which was pretty tasty since I like that lemon/lime/mojito kind of taste. After I finished that drink about two hours later, he mixed me up a seasonal watermelon soju, which was really good, except I was almost on the floor by then and couldn’t finish. My friend had two K Krushes. When we left, it had gotten a little loud and more crowded, but it was fun and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Good times had by all. Kamsahamnida!

Soju? Ick. Not my cup of tea… I’m not into strong alcohol-laden drinks, but these drinks costs so much for barely having anything in ‘em!!! Just overpriced stuff. They have a ‘mini-menu’ of food too, and it’s not that great either. Just not worth the buck for the unhappy bang.

Rarely do I give the coveted 5 stars but this place has never dissapointed in 7 visits. Prompt seating every time. Great music, great movies playing, awesome drinks, beer on tap, helpful –friendly staff, amazing food, pretty much the perfect restaurant. They have specials throughout the week which allows the gunshy to try different appetizers that they normally wouldnt The drinks are eclectic mixes that call on different taste buds on every drink. Amazing. Great usage of Soju. I brought friends that were extremely apprehensive on trying«alternative» cuisines and now they beg to go there everytime I’m home from TX. Must Haves: The fried tofu the ribbys with the mint dipping sauce —my personal favorite the wok tossed edamame —-i can live on this stuff Honorable Mentions: The tuna tar tare the pork lettuce wraps There isn’t one dish that I regretted ever ordering nor a drink I regretted ordering. Did I mention that they have turntables at the bar, play a helluva mix of jazz, hip hop, classical, and everything in between? Where else can you hear Coltrane, then the Roots? Great Job Rohan Staff, don’t change a thing !!!

The bartender is cool, although he yelled at me and gave me shit for asking for a Coke and then also later on when I asked for water. I couldn’t help it, the calamari was salty as hell okay? Anyway, cheap cocktails(range from $ 4-$ 6), they have a special half off thing going on on Wednesday nights, mixed crowd, nice interior, and the bartender guy is still cool even though he gave me crap.(He was just messing around.) So like I was saying, they have a special wednesday menu where their stuff is half off, this includes certain munchies(edamame with salt, edamame with garlic, potato croquettes with kimchee, calamari) and I think cocktails. I’d come here again. But I can’t believe I missed LOST for this place. That’s the only thing I regret. AHhh SUSY EFFING C WENT TO A BAR INSTEAD OF WATCHING LOST. =(
